Thank Goodness, I've found it!!!!
Ok so a little information on me and my type of acne first. I am 21 years old and have always had clear skin. However, I was always on birth control too since I was about 13. After recently getting married and wanting to start a family, I had my mirena birth control removed. After this, my faced hated me. I pretty much broke out one day, and everyday after that it continued to get worse and worse and worse. I had huge painful cysts and whiteheads all around my mouth, cheeks, and chin. Every morning I would be scared to look in the mirror and see what new monsters the night had brought to my face. Sometimes, I was so embarrassed at the way I looked I called into work and said I was sick. My husband started to get frustrated with me because all I ever did was obsess over the way my face looked, and I spent all my free time researching new ways to cure my acne and testing them out in the bathroom. Somehow though, I came across this soap and read all the reviews. So I went out to target and bought some of the tea tree kind, and a small bottle of tea tree oil and I can tell you.... ITS AWESOME!!!! My acne is actually clearing! Like really really clearing!!! I just use a couple drops of this in the morning and at night, and then I spot treat with the tea tree oil. It can be a little over drying, but considering how oily my skin is I love the way it feels. In the morning time, I will use a light oil free moisturizer and combat some of the dryness if I feel that its bothering me that day. But seriously, my redness is subsiding, the pimples I did have are shrinking and minimized, and its keeping new acne from forming. I've only had a couple new pimples in the last few weeks of using this, and I'm hoping it will just continue to get better and better. I have also switched over to using a BB Cream by Garnier that is supposed to help reduce and clear acne.... I really like it. It covers better than most foundations and it doesn't clog my pores as long as I can take it off with makeup remover at the end of the night. Anyway, that's just some additional silly information. Some other things I would like to mention is I have also started guzzling a ton of water throughout the day, and I try and drink a couple cups of green tea everyday too. In addition to this I have tried to clean my diet, and cut out most dairy products (its impossible to cut out all, and I love cheese), and incorporate more fruits and vegetables into my meals. Another thing... exercise. I had started exercising and really breaking a sweat at least 3 times a week and I've seen improvement. Plus, it just makes you feel better about yourself. All of these things combined though, with Dr. Bronners soap and tea tree oil... I'm amazed. And I'm so happy I don't have to feel afraid to have someone look at my face anyway. Last but not least... Please remember not to obsess over your acne. I know its difficult, but the more you obsess and worry about it the worse it's going to end up being. Try and remember that every single person on the planet has something they are self conscious about, and not every person has clear and beautiful skin. We all have imperfections, but we are all beautiful in our own special ways. Hope this post helped. Xoxox

Cons:
none
Dr. Bronner's Tea Tree(it comes in other types too such as lavendar and mint, but this is most effective for my acne) soap has really helped control my facial acne. I would highly recommend it for people with very oily skin. A little goes a long way! The smell is mild and there are no irritating chemicals in the soap.

Lavender Dr. Bronner's
I use 3-5 drops of the liquid lavender soap to wash my face mornings and nights. With just a few drops, I'm able to get a nice lather that rinses away easily with a few splashes. Using more than a few drops caused serious sensitivity and over-drying. Since I started using this about a month ago I've only had two new spots form - one from hormones and the other from the thick lip treatment I use at night. This is amazing for me. These new spots are even healing more quickly than before.
Old spots are healing well but are still visible.
Blackheads are shrinking.
My skin is much softer.
The scent is nice and relaxing. I would definitely recommend this soap to anyone and everyone. I've struggled with acne for more than a decade and this is the only product I've found that clears my skin without giving me reptile-dry skin.

So far so good
I've only been using Dr. Bonners on my face for about a week and a half. I know its very soon and I still have healing breakouts but I still wanted to share what this soap is doing for my skin. Its helping so many comedones come out of my skin! Every time i wash i feel at least 3 or 4 come out. Mainly along my jaw line, neck and nose. Such a good feeling having those nasty little plugs slip right out! It's making the cystic acne I have on my chin and my eyebrows come to a head as well. My skin is definitely purging. Overall though it looks calmer. It has been making me dry but I moisturize with hemp oil in the day and rose hip oil at night which also help comedones come out of the skin. I think the dirt and oil dissolving property of this soap is really what's helping me right now though. I'm using lavender but am going to be buying tea tree and baby mild next time.

Pros:
Cleans better than anything else IMO
Smells great/clean and smooths skin
Helps prevent acne
Cons:
Can dry skin just a little, but nothing that a good moisturizer can't solve.
A bit pricey compared to typical soaps/body washes and may be hard to find.
Scented varieties may slightly irritate sensitive skin
Dr. Bronner's is the best soap by far IMO. I use the Peppermint scent to wash my body. The tingly peppermint sensation really helps you start your day. Watch out though, the Peppermint can almost burn your sensitive southern parts if you leave it on there too much, nothing serious though. If you use Dr. Bronner's to wash your face I HIGHLY recommend buying the Baby/Sensitive skin variety. The Peppermint kind can slightly irritate sensitive facial skin (it would make my face red and eyes burn from the scent). It has no added fragrance so no irritation. Plus it makes your skin really smooth and clean. For my acne problems I just use the Unscented Dr. Bronners to wash my face morning and night and a topical Benzoyl Peroxide cream. Works like a charm. My skin has never been smoother or cleaner.

worked for months but gradually became less effective
I have had mild to moderate acne since I was 12 and I am now 17. My cheeks are clear but my chin is covered in angry whiteheads, scarring and the odd cyst, in what creates a muzzle-like effect. At first, I thought Dr Bronners was my saving grace. It dried out my very oily skin and kept breakouts largely under control. Although my skin was never perfect it was definitely more manageable - I would say this product cleared it by 70%. However, it did nothing for blackheads. Eventually though I began to get more and more breakouts on my chin - I felt my skin returning to its old state. Meanwhile I developed heaps of those nasty under the skin spots all over my forehead! Whether Dr Bronners caused these or not I do not know (it does contain olive oil and coconut oil) but I still have them now. Overall, I wouldn't write this product off because it is the most effective product I have used so far in my battle against acne, even if it didn't last.

Best thing I've found so far!
This is the best facial treatment I've come across in my 16 years of suffering from moderate acne. It works better than any OTC or prescription treatment I've tried so far. I have only had one minor break out in the last 3 months of using this product. It has not worked for my body acne though. Cheap too and a small bottle lasts a long time!

Pros:
natural, smells nice, feels good
Cons:
didn't really work for my acne...
the first few weeks of using dr. bronner's and tea tree oil (i wanted to go all natural) were great! i thought i could see a reduction in my pimples. now, after a few months, it's like i'm back at square one. i'm still getting giant, painful under-the-skin pimples that decide to turn into whiteheads (pustules) at inopportune times, not to mention random whiteheads popping up. this is so frustrating. i wanted it to work, and i believed it would; it just didn't... i'm still using it though. i mean, what the heck else can i do?

i use this for everything
I use this soap for everything! When using on my acne I think that this keeps it under control but not completely gone. I have sensitive skin but other than the kinda tight feeling I have had no problems.

Love it so far but makes me oily
Hi! I just started using the tea tree oil one maybe a week and a half ago and I really like it but I noticed my skin has gotten a bit more oily since starting to use this. Is anyone else having this issue?
