Amazing!!
I found out about this treatment on acne.org; and seeing as it is inexpensive I decided to give it a try- and I have to say after about 3 months of using this, I am extremely impressed. It is not a miracle product by any means, but it SIGNIFICANTLY improves acne and inflammation. It reduces the size and redness of active pimples, and I love to use it daily to prevent any future breakouts. It is drying so I use it in conjunction with Argan oil and sunscreen. I apply it all over my face before bed mixed with Argan oil, and repeat in the morning under makeup. It doesn't change the color of makeup and doesn't change the way it appears on my face. It can also be used as a spot treatment. I love this product and will continue to use it

Pros:

Safe for sensitive skin, effective at treating acne, dminishes pimples and redness and most importantly, its CHEAP! Doesn't dry out your skin like other topical treatments.

Cons:

You look a little weird before bedtime.

Everyone should at least try it. I felt like I had tried everything that could have worked so when someone suggested Calamine Lotion to me, I thought no way. After a couple of days my acne looks much better than any other product I've ever tried, and I've tried a lot! I'm definitely going to keep using it.

Pros:

Clears pimples
Works on cystic acne
Great for sensitive skin
Inexpensive
Easily available

Cons:

A little messy

I have tried so many acne products to treat my hormonal adult acne that came about after I became pregnant with my daughter but this is the only thing that really worked! A lot of the other medications caused too much irritation and sensitivity to my face and didn't work well enough, but not calamine lotion. I am so glad I found this product it is what I have been looking for for so long. It has cleared my face in less than a week. I will recommend this product to any and everyone struggling with acne.

Pros:

- it make "pimples" that were cysts come to a head.

Cons:

- none

I used this last night (i had used it before too, I use the Humco brand which is the best because it has very few ingredients that are not bad for you. so check the ingredients it should'nt have that many) and I had gotten this huge cyst on my chin that I was able to shrink in a few nights (using mario badescu drying cream) and well I had forgotten about it but it wasn't completely gone. well last night instead of my usual regimen (100% emu oil) I used this, just to try it to see if the cyst would go to a head(it heals faster, but don't pop it.) and in the morning it did ! :) so that's good. When you get it to a head the best thing you can do is steam you face for like 5-10 minutes and if it still hasn't popped then put on a chunk of plain yogurt, and at night put something soothing like an essential/carrier oil. Good luck (: <3

Pros:

it reduces the size and redness of pimples and makes some go away depending on the size. It brings most pimples to a head over night so be prepared to get rid of them

Cons:

hard to apply due to it being like water.

this is the only product i know that you can see results from in such a short amount of time. TRY IT.

MAKEUP PRIMER
Honestly, I don't know whether it works or not concerning acne because I haven't used it in that sense but it is an AMAZING makeup primer if you suffer from oily skin! Apparently, it can have a plateau effect so I interchange between this and milk of magnesia, which is also a phenomenal primer! Although I said I'm not sure about it working for acne, I do think that less oil can mean less clogged pores. I also get pimples much less now-a-days. This may have contributed. Who knows?? It's worth a try!

Calms down my skin
I purchased Calamine for a rash I got from an allergic reaction and I wanted to try it on my acne. I have cystic acne along my cheek bone and under my jaw that gets very irritated and itchy. I applied a bit of Calamine on my spots and it calmed down my face instantly. The pimples didn't go away but they were noticeably less puffy and less red. The only downside is that its extremely drying so don't use too much at once.

Pros:

Read -bottom line- (tips!)

Cons:

NONE :)

Hello, I've only been using this for 1 day so I cannot say how well it's working, but I just recently quit Dan's regimen (too many chemicals) and went to this. If you're going to try it, i highly recommend it because it has kept my skin under control(it's also good for big pores, hyperpigmentation). I recommend you get the generic brand (humco calamine lotion 6fl oz for $2.00) it's so much better than the brand one, i know we usually go for the more expensive one, because we think it's better, WRONG :) at least for this, the brand one has 10x more chemicals that are damaging your body (it has parabens and other chemicals which cause: cancer, organ problems, irritations, reproduction problems, etc) the humco one needs to be worn at night because it leaves your face white, but that's no problem. Also most of you seem to be having problems getting it off, if you wash with water it's impossible to get off. I use raw african black soap and just wash my face that takes it ALL off. :) but if you don't have black soap, you can try a make up remover. but don't scrub, you're damaging the skin. Ingredients: active- calamine 8%, zinc oxide 8%. inactive- bentonite magma, calcium hydroxide, glycerin, purified water. Good luck :)

wonderful spot treatment
This is a really wonderful spot treatment for me. I don't reach for it often but it's a must have in my "emergency skincare arsenal". I use this I when I have a few whiteheads that I want to bring down in size and this does the job of shrinking them considerably overnight.
