Pros:

Works very quickly!
Very cheap!

Cons:

Can only really use it at night

I kept getting very raised white bumps all over my face, and especially my chin which had more of a red appearence. I read about a drying lotion that cost around £20, and i read up reviews on the internet, a doctor said that calamine lotion would do the exact same job and it's a damn sight cheaper, so i tried it, and my face is almost flawless. I would recomment you moisturise your skin after you've washed it off in the morning though :)

This page seemed harder to find the second time around; and I came back to report my progress after about two months or so. The result has been pleasant, but it does not deserve as much hype as I previously gave it. Don't get it wrong; this is a great product that has greatly enhanced my backne problem, going from pretty bad to much better (as if that serves as any indication...) Bottom line holds that with some OXY Maximum Daily Wash 10% used in the shower followed by a moderate layer of calamin lotion, it works.

Pros:

Seems to pull the fluid out of acne

Cons:

Doesn't really get rid of acne

Consider this as one item in your anti-acne arsenal. I believe what it really does is pull out the fluid part of the acne cysts, thereby reducing the inflammation. It doesn't actually fight acne, but I continue to use it. I use it on my chest and one benefit is that it keeps me from picking since it's kind of like chalk on my skin.

Pros:

-Dries up zits fast
-Soothing

Cons:

-Drying
-Seems to fail after a few treatments
-Can only use at night

Calamine lotion isn't a bad choice for minor acne. I find it often clears mine up, but only for about a week at a time. It then becomes quite ineffective, and I have to stop using it for a time. Then, it seems to become effective again. Strange. Anyways, it's probably not a bad idea to try it.

Pros:

Seems to make face less red, and when applied to cystic-type acne overnight, they appear to be a lot smaller. Works quite well.

Cons:

If left on for too long, or if used every day, some minor flakiness and minor dryness tends to develop. As well, even after washing your face, a thin white layer is seen on one's skin, almost resembling makeup...a little embarrassing. Have to scrub -

This product is okay, but would like to find something different. I've been using the BP for quite some time, and it doesn't always help from new ones to form. I recommend using this product as a spot treatment only, instead of an all over type of treatment, which I did, and maybe that's why I developed some flakiness and a creamy-white residue on my face, still left over even after being washed off.

Pros:

This product slightly lightens all of my pimples and helps keep my skin dry. It has no side effects and is extremely cheap and widely available.

Cons:

Besides lightening it a bit, this did nothing for my acne. The lotion is extremely thin (more like a tonic than a lotion) and stains the skin with a temporary layer of pink. It's also difficult to wash off after applying.

If you have yet to find an acne solution, this is certainly worth a try. Calamine lotion is cheap and even if it doesn't do much for you, it may come in handy in your medicine cabinet if you ever need a natural anti-itch remedy from insect bites or poison ivy. You should always use some sort of cotton to apply the lotion, since it's so frustratingly thin. If you try to apply it with your hands, you will simply end up with pink-stained hands. This is best used overnight if you want to give it a try. Apply right before sleeping and remove in a morning shower to thoroughly clean your skin. If you don't shower in the morning, you probably wouldn't want to use this unless you want a pink-stained face. If you already have an effective working acne solution, you can safely ignore calamine lotion.
