PanOxyl : Benzoyl Peroxide (2.5%) Aquagel

My face definitely improved, however I don't think I'm going to try it for the third time. I mean it burns my skin. First time, my skin was so dry, but the second time I used some moisturizer.. so that prevented from occurring. Anyway... I think I'm gonna try to find something that is more natural...something that won't burn my skin. Hopefully there is one, cause I absolutely HATE acnes. I mean... who doesn't?

from wat i see this proudct has ad the same reiew over and over again e.g - dry flaky burnt side effects, i dont even no why this stuff is rated to b the best treatment 4 acne cuz reely its like puttin f****** acid on yuor face.i used it 4 bout a week and my face was bone dry with big brown patches of dry dead skin....took alot of vaseline to get my face bak in shape, but after, it was nice n smooth, BUT never again will i use this loada sh*t cuz it just aint worth lookin like a dry ballsac wen u wana go out and enjoy yourself.

it is good but it mad my skin soo flaking i looked like a old woman and moisturizer does not helpthat much make such you put a little bit on then work up on it.it will sting on the first time or second or third but ohh well it might be worth it

I think there should be a warning somewhere stating that benzoyl peroxide is not as suitable for those with very pale skins - as I think although it does get rid of spots, it is harsh and leaves lingering red marks behind

I HAD adult acne, I tried everything there was, I also tried panoxyl for a few months. I shouldnt of used it for that long but the forum here said to be persistent so see maximum benefits... but It just got worse, where ever I used the product, new spots occurred and my skin begun to look old like it was much better suited to some one who was 80 not 30! I stopped using the product and researched alot into what caused acne, I spent ages in front of the pc and my head in books. I changed my diet, I cut out caffeine, wheat, dairy, and cut down on sugar, I started taking Zinc, B5, iron, Vit C, multiVits, and clear complexion tablets, I drink loads of water2 and now I look and feel so much better for it, once my acne scars go there will be no evidence that I had acne! I think if you have skin that is so oily it's slick, and that is the cause of your acne, this will definitely help clear you up and dry you out. I am 28 and my acne is hormonal/stress induced (only on either side of my chin, not even in the middle, and no where else on my face) and I am somewhat fair and I now have very dry, painful blotches around my mouth. My spots are somewhat smaller, but they seem more obvious because of the redness.

It is a good product, I've been using it for 3 days now and my forehead had cleared up quite a bit. Not liking the redness though! :(

don't use it if you have sensitive skin

i have mild - moderate acne and it works to prevent spots in some areas of my face but in others they just keep coming and i have been using it for 2months + !! my skin is so red and tight and discoloured from it - i may switch to only using it at night and see what happens. dissapointed with it really though :( however, i know alot of people have had a lot of success with it. Maybe my skin is just too sensitive. I recommend to try it and see otherwise you won't know.

I got prescribed this as since i was about 13 ive had quite bad acne, im only 16, and its knocking my confidence as it would anybody. I got prescribed it on Monday then used it till now. Wednesday, Ive been putting it on a night.. I cant say ive noticed any massive improvements yet, other than drying my skin, but i can say it has taken some of the redness away, and I dont see any new spots forming. my acne prone areas are WAY dry and are peeling a bit.. Ive been using E45 cream for that over some antibiotics I was given by my doctor.
