Pros:

it got rid of my whiteheads quickly and feels very clean

Cons:

makes my skin feel a little bit dry

i mix a little less than 1 teaspoon of baking soda with my olay acne scrub and i mix it with a little bit of water. Then i very gently wash my face and finish it off with cold water to close my pores. works good overall :]

Pros:

Clears Acne and makes skin feel great.
Not expensive, easy to use

Cons:

May dry out skin
May cause redness at start

I checked out about Acne and Baking Soda on U Tube and how well it works. Having tried all sorts of things, i felt may as well give it a try and at first it caused my skin to go red and have dry skin. Eventually i started to see improvements and my skin was slowly starting to clear. When my cousin said that my acne isn't that bad now, i knew i had the right choice. My main problem has been my own inability to do it on a consistent basis. Otherwise i am sure my acne would have been much clearer but it does work and i am going to try and do it consistently. To all those who haven't given it a try, give it a try, you won't be losing much money even if it doesn't work.

Pros:

works really well as a daily face wash. I pour the baking soda in my hand and run few drops of water and apply. I always use baby lotion(pink bottle) to moisturize. I have eczema and I have found the answer after 20 years of trying everything

Cons:

none

I rub it in for 1 minute and rinse. Then moisturize afterward. I highly recommend.

Pros:

I am tingling as we speak...

Cons:

Don't know completely. It burns a little on my existing acne but the rest of my face...it just feels like astringent. It definitely feels like something is happening (hopefully). :o)

I am 30. I have had annoying acne since I was in Jr. High School. Seriously, I just made it part of my life and worked 'around' it but to tell you the truth, acne has a way to weasel itself into your social life. Nevermind getting close to someone else's face... I was watching some random show and one of the girls mentioned using baking soda as a way to wash her face - and she truly had beautiful skin. I've been milling over the idea for the last couple of days - obviously reluctant because like a lot of you, I've spent many o'dollars on OTC products and the evil ProActiv - WHICH by the way - didn't do squat for me. And I was religious about it for a good 6 months. Needless to say, I DID get my money back for that let down... Anyway, I am sitting here marinating right now. It feels kinda neat and hey - if it worked for a lot of you, I guess I can give it a try too. I just made a paste (semi-thin) with the baking soda and warm water and made a mask. I'll let ya know what h

Pros:

Quick results. My skin has never looked or felt better, and only after 2 uses. Im guessing it will only get better. Very gentle.

Cons:

Its best to use only once a day morning or night. I wish I could do it twice a day!

Give it a try! Be sure to follow up with the proper Vinegar:water 1:8 mix. This will give your face the proper PH balance.

Pros:

this really works

Cons:

it makes your skin a little red

you wet your face first and then in your hand you take about a teaspoon of baking soda and then you add water to it enough to make a paste and then wash your face with it and then rinse it off. it really works, you wake up the next day with clearer skin then the night before

Pros:

Made my pimples small really fast!

Cons:

Stings a little and drying

I just mixed it with warm water to a paste consistancy. I usually use pore strips to get rid of blackheads but heard of this and thought why not. Well, Im glad I did! It cleaned out alot of pores and dried up my pimples instantly! But I have problem area like the sides of my nose and forehead where the pore strips only get out about 3 blackheads and when I used the baking soda I could see those areas the gross stuff was almost ready to come out. So after I used the baking soda I used pore strips on those areas and WOW! I never got so many blackheads on my strips before. I dont think I can use this every day though more a once a week and spot treatment kind of thing. It does sting a little but for the price and the instant results, it was worth it.

Pros:

Easy to get, and costs practically nothing

Cons:

Stings a tiny bit on the real nasty zits

I've just tried this out. I mixed baking soda with enough hydrogen peroxide to make a paste, then I just put it on the affected areas. I'll keep you posted on the effects, and if you wear it around the house, be prepared to have family members ask "what the hell is that white stuff all over your face" :)

Pros:

helps reduce acne a bit, very cheap

Cons:

doesn't do that much for acne, have to keep it on for 30 to 40 minutes

I recommend using this if you have light acne. For Moderate or severe, it won't do that much.it's worth a try...
