Pros:

Makes skin soft and smooth
Clears acne almost instantly
Inexpensive

Cons:

Stings a little at first.

The bottom line is that this is the best thing I have ever used on my skin. Personally, I don't have the money to be running around spending it on proactive, and skin ID. This method is so inexpensive, and for once, it actually works! After the first day of using it I could feel and see the difference! My breakouts went down significantly! I used the baking soda as a paste (mixed with water) and rubed it onto my face in the shower (after rinsing it with warm water) then rinsed it off with cold water. Everyone has noticed the difference! Sure, my face isn't completly clear, but its getting much better, everybody has noticed the difference! If your looking for an easy cheap way to clear up your acne, this is the product for you! Hope it helps for you too!

Coconut Oil and Baking Soda!
I use coconut oil for a lot of things, it's great for your skin and hair. I put it on my eyelashes to get them long and silky. I started breaking out hella from hormones, my skin is super oily and gross, and I just cant make the pimples stop. I mixed coconut oil and baking soda together and used it as a scrub. Amazing! The baking soda really seems to pull the crap out, afterwards, it was virtually falling out of my pores. Super clean feeling, and a huge improvement in the number and darkness of blackheads. the coconut oil kind of lubricates and makes it easy to spread around so you're not pulling on your skin, and moisturizes at the same time. I followed with witch hazel after rinsing, and then applied my favorite night cream. Burt's bee's with royal jelly. I also used the mixture on my chest and shoulders/back. The nasty oiy mess it wasl hasn't built up yet a whole day later.

Pros:

Cheap
Great exfoliator
Cleared up my acne
Improved skin texture
Helped smooth my scars

Cons:

None!

I have had moderate acne since I was 10 years old and I have tried everything. I went and got acne extractions and chemical peels for years and paid a lot of money for expensive products. 6 months after I got married I ran out of my expensive products and was tired of paying so much for things that didn't work. I read about baking soda and I gave it a try. It changed my skin in a matter of weeks but I decided to keep using it for 6 months before I gave it a review on here. I absolutely love it and my skin has never looked so good. What I do: Every other night I get my face wet, pour about a tablespoon into my palm and then add a few drops of water to make a paste. I rub it around on my skin not to vigorously but enough to exfoliate. I rinse it off and then I wash my face with a gentle green tea cleanser. I will sometimes apply diluted apple cider vinegar after I dry my skin because I read that baking soda can throw of your skin's pH balance. I love how smooth it makes my skin feel and that it has done wonders for my acne.

Pros:

CHEAP, easy to use, BEST product I've used ever!

Cons:

nothing too bad to cause me to not use it. seriously. baking soda is AMAZING.

TRY it. I've been suffering from HORRIBLE acne since I was about 12. I'm 22 now and have never found anything so effective as this. I was extremely skeptical because well, it's too simple! But I'm so glad I gave it a chance. Baking soda is my new best friend! I started adding baking soda to my skin care routine and have seen immediate results. Give these tricks a shot : Add baking soda to your face wash Use baking soda+ a little water and use it as a face mask & also, boil a few tablespoons of thyme. when the water is hot, pour into a bowl, put your face over the bowl& a towel over your head. Steam for 5-10 minutes. Thyme helps with extremely oily skin and steam causes your pores to open up& allow all the dirt to drip out in the sweat. Please, try any or all of these..I promise you won't be disappointed.

Pros:

- works well on acne and acne scars
- gentle
- smoother skin
- helps put out the fires that I create on the stove trying to cook my instant noodles... =D

Cons:

-.....dries out skin(?)

Basically, this stuff works great. it's an absolutely fantastic exfoliator that's still really gentle on the skin =) it helped my body acne a whole lot as well as my facial acne. (scars too!) and it's really nice to rub your arm and be like..."woah...that's really soft o_O" Also, it's uber cheap, for the people like us who can't afford spend like 20$ on a cleanser >.>...yeap..

Pros:

Inexpensive
Gentle exfoliant
Shrinks spots
Brightens skin
Really works

Cons:

Can be drying but just use a moisturizer after use other than that NONE

Baking soda has been the only product I have found that has worked for my skin. I have struggled with acne for the last 10 years and have finally found something that works. My face appears a lot clearer and cleaner and feels amazingly soft. My spots are starting to fade after a month of using it, even my scars appear less obvious. It may take a while to notice a real difference if you have moderate to severe acne like mine but you well difinitely see changes in your skin even after the first use. I both mix with water to form a thick paste to use as a mask or spot treatment and mix it with cetaphil to form a very gentle face wash which also removes all make up. Everyone is different so it may not work for you but as it is so cheap and easy to use its worth a try.

Pros:

Fades scarring
Got rid of blackheads
Kept me from breaking out
Got rid of dry, flaky skin patches
Reduces redness

Cons:

Have to be really, really, gentle and not use too much or else your skin will dry out

Seriously, use baking soda. It's super-cheap and very effective. What I do is, @ night, take a little Baking soda, add water until it feels smooth, pat on face, LIGHTLY rub, then wash off in shower. Btw, good as a mask too. Just leave it on for like 15 min., can add honey or more water if it is too strong.
