Pros:

great exfoliator, cheap, easy to find, smoother skin, less breakouts

Cons:

stings a little, can be messy to work with

I use 1 tbsp baking soda mixed with Cetaphil cleaner on my face 3 times a day. At first I tried mixing it with water but it gets too crumbly. With Cetaphil the baking soda mixes uniformly and is easier to apply. The Cetaphil also helps to moisturize the skin and keep it from burning too much. About 10 min after washing, I apply 50% diluted Bragg ACV as a toner. I have mild to moderate acne, usually on my chin and behind my ears. My acne has cleared up tremendously after 2 days using baking soda and ACV.

Pros:

Cheap, affordable, and great results! It made my skin real smooth with no side affects and no fragrance at all. Truly all natural. ;)

Cons:

Do not rub too hard when its dried, especially for sensitive skin but it's not drying at all. Don't worry. ;)

Just mix 2 tb. of baking soda with 1 tb. of water and bam!, you've got a miracle cure for your acne and blemishes! & it also gets rid of blackheads. Leave it on for 20 minutes. Try it, it worked for me. Good luck. ;)

Pros:

My face feels smoother. Cheap to get and great for a gentle yet deep clean. Moisturize afterwards! My boyfriend loves it as well!

Cons:

----

This stuff is great for removing oily buildup not only on the face, but on the back (and in hair) as well. It unclogs pores like a dream. = Cheap and good

Pros:

Works VERY well

Cons:

Feels a bit uncomfortable and dry when applied

I have had bad acne for about 3 years now and I have used HEAPS of products which never worked, but when I tried applying baking soda with water on my face I noticed a HUGE difference in my face just after one application. I still had pimples on my face ofcourse but the redness had almost disappeared and scarring from previous pimples had almost vanished just after trying it once! Though it did feel dry and uncomfortable, I am so happy with the results but then again I have only used it for a couple of days so I don't know whats going to happen but I reccomend it to people who have acne.

Pros:

Satisfies my urge to scrub without hurting me; does a good job of removing dead skin and reducing pore size.

Cons:

Can sometimes refuse to rinse off from around my nose and eyes. Difficult to keep nearby/use in the shower without eventual clumping. Definitely demands that you balance your PH, ASAP afterwards!

Gentlest exfoliating scrub ever, and cheaper than dirt. It's nice not to have to buy another cosmetic product.

Pros:

Everything. It's cheap and effective.

Baking soda, in a somewhat expected fit of irony, works better than any product I've ever used. I'm currently 22 and I started developing acne when I was 15. Since then it's been a battle waged with medications, abrasive pads, and Proactive. Finally I said "what the hell. Baking soda it is." Despite my sensitive skin its worked fantastically. When I started using it I had a few large lesions on my face and a number of small red bumps from shaving and so on. After a week of using a mixture of backing soda, water, and a mild, oil free lotion (which isn't actually necessary, but it helps with overall skin health) my acne has almost cleared completely. At first my skin became inflamed and irritated, but only the first day or two. Then it just started to disappear. No more red bumps, no more pimples or lesions. My skin looks like it did when I was 14. The main thing is to stick with it even if it looks worse at first. Just rub it on in the morning, let it dry, wash it off and Presto!

Pros:

****IT WORKS!!****

Cons:

Absolutely nothin! It's GREAT

I absolutely LOVE this! I've only used it a few times but i can tell it's workin. I'm 19 n I've had acne since middle school usually only on my chin but very deep huge ones. Right before my high school graduation my face cleared up! it was great. When i returned from my senior trip my face went crazy and now (3 months later) my right cheek is covered in old red marks. I've used every method i know about and nothin happened. I have even tried that method of using a potatoe..i had sunk to a new low with that one. Then i found this site. I read everyones comments and i thought i had nothing to lose. Although, this is only my second day of using this method It really does work!..my red marks on my cheek are still there but are fading. I love the way it leaves my skin feeling! I use it a little different tho. I use about 5teaspoons of baking soda & about 3teaspoons of pure limon juice every night. I leave the mask on for about 30 min. I recommend this for EVERYONE! It really does work
