Pros:

smooth, soft skin.

Cons:

none =] no burning or anything like that.

Just so simple! Baking soda and water, thick paste, rub it on. My face felt so tight, it was funny. I love it. Finished it off with Clear Skin.

I just finished using this a couple minutes ago. I washed my face w/ Dr. Thrower's heritage and then put the baking soda/water mixture and let it sit for 10-15 mins. after i washed it my skin complexion lokks better and a few of my bumps decreased! I just put on finacea cream and it feels normal. my skin is so smooth! hope it works in the long run!

Pros:

very cheap and if you still can't afford, and for the people with no or little money i know exactly what your going through, its very easy to steal
skin feels alot smoother

Cons:

very slight burn for a few minutes, but nothing compared to other acne producs that burn and don't work
tightens face but i really don't mind at all

I just now tried it for my first time, i made the paste (water and baking soda) and put it on my fave for an hour. There isnt a big difference like alot of these other postings say, but i feel alot cleaner and i feel like my pores are closed. I plan to keep this up for about a week or two and see how well it works. I have tried almost everything (proactive, murade, clean & clear, clearasel, and tons of other products) and nothing has worked, hopefully this is will actually work. I only recommend it because if nothing else works why not try something new. Hopefully everyone will have great luck with this. =}

Pros:

myohmy!this works wonder.I lovee it:)I had a few breakouts in my cheek(dark pimples)& i used it for a couple of days,& officially gone. The browness of the pimple, was rub off.

Cons:

sensitive skin people:
IT BURNS A LOT.
BUT, it means it is working, killing the germs. it can get quite messy once it dries.

Some suggestions: Mix with water, into powder paste let it dry for 15min and rinse it off. wipe it off with a clean towel :) if you have severe acne: i suggest use this everyday in the morning AND night. For not so severe acne: use this once a day each week.

Pros:

this is the best exfoliator ive ever used! it gets rid of all the excess skin cells all the time. i love it. and its very cheap

Cons:

none.

some people apply it differently but after i wash off my cleanser while my face is still wet. i pour the baking soda into my hand and rub it all over my face but i make sure my hands are dry or else it doesnt work as well. i dont let it sit very long bc that isnt necessary and i remove it all with a washcloth and then splash water on my face to make sure its all off. after i feel like i have new skin so soft and i feel polished.

Pros:

Dries my pimples otut like no other. Even my big inflammed whiteheads that werent coming to a head went down significantly. Also the first thing I've used that brough down the redness and size of a cyst overnight

Cons:

Can cause redness obviously

I read all the reviews here and decided to give this a try. I put the stuff on expecting only to leave it on for 20 minutes or so but I never rlly experienced any burning sensation. Only a little bit where I had just popped a pimple. Anyways I was desperate because I just started Carley's clean and clear and I knew I was gonna have an intial breakout with that but I was getting HUGE inflammed whiteheads that were taking forever to come to a head and then once I got a cyst, that has been sitting there since Sunday, I was really pissed off. SO I left the baking soda on overnight. Ya it was a chance but my face is tough after using BP for six years and BP doesnt work for me anymore no matter how much I use, When I woke up the aforementioned big pimples were reduced big time. Ya my skin was a little red but it was worth it. I wont do this every night but it's great just in case of emergenices and I'm planning on doing a face mask every night if my face can take it.

Noticeably soft skin, fewer breakouts

i have been applying a baking soda mask for 2 months now after reading about it on this site. i wanted to give the treatment time before reviewing it...and i must say...the mask is great!! i forgo the lemon juice, and instead just mix the baking soda with lukewarm water until it is at a paste consistency. i then pat, no rub, it onto my face. i leave it on until it dries completely, and then rinse off with cool water. i must say...my skin looks great, and the minimal acne that i had is has decreased to 1-2 pimples at best. i only use this treatment once a week, and follow it up with a toner containing salicylic acid. i use a daily oil free face moisturizer with spf 15. i would recommend this mask to anyone--and for those having irritability issues, i would skip the lemon juice, and just opt for the paste.
