Pros:

Totally smooths out skin - buffs away dead skin cells for more refreshed look

Cons:

none

I started using this stuff as a cleanser w/water about a year ago. Seems to buff dead skin cells without irritating. Well, it's a year later, tried some other stuff (jojoba) and just broke out terribly - ugh. Now, I was trying to remember back when I had great skin - it was down to: -Thoroughly Clean Face Wash w/Extra Gentle Buf Puf -Baking Soda Paste w/Water in shower (2-3x wk, as needed) -Proactiv toner, then lotion - voila! This, for me, gave me perfect skin. If it's working, stick to it! Experiment, start new things slowly to see what works for you. Good luck - can't go wrong w/baking soda. It WORKS and it's cheap!

Pros:

It got lots of great reviews so it is worth a try.

Cons:

After 2 nights, there is no improvement at all.

I have moderate acne, mostly just around my mouth. I also have a lot of acne scars on my forehead. I made a paste out of water and baking soda, and put it on for about 5 minutes. So far after 2 nights, my acne has only gotten worse. I dont know if thats because I got a tan last week or because of the baking soda. Anyway, this is def worth a try. Sooo many people have had great results, sometimes within a day sometimes within a week. I will not give up with this, sometimes the best treatments take time. But with the price and the ease, it is WORTH A TRY!!

Pros:

Dries up acne..really fast..I mean really really fast

Cons:

Dry skin,a little stingy at first..but not much

You have to try this.I've been using it since yesterday..and already..my acne has dried up..its a good thing to use a moisturizer however..other than that..I plan to use it in replace of Pro-Activ..that only breaks my skin out.. I use Baking Soda..not the powder.

Tried once
I tried it once as a mask, i fins it's more mess than i want, read a lot that makes skin dry and did not work for me, i have tried other treatments that i can see at least a slight result within the first application. This wasnt one of them.

Pros:

Clears up some acne
Soft Skin
Tightens Pores

Cons:

Dries out your skin.

After I switched from birth control pills to nexplanon my acne got significantly worse. I started getting cysts. Red and horrible. It was difficult to keep from popping them. Sometimes I would anyways and the redness would be so much worse. I tried BP, and other various treatments. Nothing seemed to keep the acne in check until I started using baking soda. I usually use it every other day. I just wet my face pour some into my palm, and make a mask. I leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes. Then I rinse it off, While using an acne soap bar. My skin is relatively clear. The baking soda WILL dry out your skin so you need to moisturize. It's a really cheap alternative compared to some acne treatments.

Pros:

slightly reduced inflammation of acne
made my skin soft
cheap and very gentle

Cons:

is a little messy
will sting a little
very drying

i have very sensitive skin, so i was skeptical about using this. it is not a wonderful for treating acne, as i did not see much of a result. however, this did make my skin very soft! i have only used it a few times, so maybe it will have long-term effects. i sure hope so! P.S. it dries very quickly and will feel a little funny. when it starts to flake, its ready to be washed off. follow this with a lotion, as it really is drying.

Pros:

it worked immediately for me!!!

Cons:

taste bad but its worth it...try mixing it with something like lemon water or just take it and get it over with :)

The promblem is my body is too acidic. So i figured to really get the acne to go away, i needed to take something to alkaline my body. I even prayed for the Lord the help me cause i have struggled for years with my skin. I started taking baking soda (1/4 of a teaspoon...i take a little more but i would start out with a fourth) every night and within 2 days my skin was almost completely healed and felt smoother than ever. Try it and if your pregnant or have high blood pressure than i would check with my doctor b/c of salt content.

Pros:

Helps clear reddness, and pimple appear less noticeable! Its a lot ceaper than acne products, and even works better than some of them.

Cons:

A little reddness at first but it goes away. Dose not completly get rid of big pimples, but will dry them up.

Try it! I mix some baking soda, with a little water so its like a paste. The apply to trouble spots for 10 minutes, rinse, and pat face dry.
