Pros:

clears up pimples fast, seems to bleach those red marks left from acne very quickly, leaves skin very smooth and polished.

Cons:

when i first used it it stung a lot. i got scared and washed it off with water and had a slight rash. about 10 minutes later my redness and rash went down, and my spots had dried up.

i used this as a paste with water, and after the first use, your face gets used to the sting. first i use it as a spot treatment for a few minutes on active acne and acne prone areas (which is around my mouth), then i put it on my whole face as a scrub and wash it off gently. then i follow up with BP wash 5% and moisturise when my skin is dry. has worked realy well for the three days i have been using it!! it feels like a miracle cure!!!

Pros:

Cleared up the black heads on my nose and chin a little after the first use, and almost completely when I used it again. I haven't gotten any new pimples since I started using it, and my old ones seem to be drying up faster than usual.

Cons:

It is a little drying (as a lot of people have already said). Just make sure you moisturize afterwards. (I like to use lotion with jojoba oil mixed in to get the moisture back into my skin -- feels great.)

Why not? It's cheap, and, so far it seems to be helping. I've tried A LOT of products, and oddly enough, baking soda seems to be working more quickly and more affectively.

Pros:

Soft Skin

Cons:

Minor irritation

I have only applied it once, 15 minutes ago. I did about 2/3 baking soda 1/3 water. It was too watery so I basically just poured most of the liquid out and used my finger to mix it into a 'paste'. After I made it I rubbed it onto my face and left it on for 15 minutes, rinsed and dried my face. My face was less red on spots and my face was drier. So far after 10 minutes of use its better than proactive. Proactive is a scam IMO. With this you only need one item instead of 4 things to make the process work like the acne kits being sold.....also with a couple bucks you have like 2 years supply of this if it works for you. Will post after a week of use for better results.

Pros:

Very cheap and multi-purpose

Cons:

Can be a little drying

You should give it a try its super cheap and you cant beat that.I actually use it as an exfoliator.Just mix it with a little water but be sure not to scrub hard. You only need very mild scrubbing action lets not even call it scrubbing. It leaves my skin very smooth it does dry but just moisturize & you'll be fine.Give it a try you definently don't have any money to lose.Oh and put some in your bath it will soften your whole body.

Pros:

Affordable, completely refreshes, natural exfoliate, and clears all blemishes within 3 days.

Cons:

Slight tingling sensation.

I would highly recommend for anyone to try this idea. I have only used it for one night, and have seen more dramatic changes than with any other acne product I have ever used. I have even seen an dermatologist on several occassions, got the prescribed medications and still haven't seen amazing results like this. Advice to those with the redness, when applying the paste to your face, don't rub it in and the same for washing it off, it only irritates the skin therefore causing the redness. GOOD LUCK!

Pros:

softens skin, clears up pimples, doesn't overdry, cheap and natural

Cons:

none

I mix a paste of baking soda, water, and jojoba oil and then apply it to my face for 30 seconds max. dont leave it on too long. I also dont scrub it in, because I feel like that iritates the skin. just having the paste on top of the breakout spots is fine. then I wash it off and follow it with a couple drops of jojoba oil on a cotton ball (only at night). I've been doing this for 3 months and I have NOT broken out once in that time. I dont know if it's the baking soda, the jojoba oil, or the combination...but this is better than anything i've tried (including proactive, lactic acid, salicylic acid, and Rx).

smooooth.
I use the Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub all over my face, neck & in between my breasts, gently (except around my nostrils & that little dent between your bottom lip & chin, I give those areas a good scrub) then I apply, gently, baking soda all over my face & mix it in with the aveeno. I'll leave it on for a minute or two then I'll scrub my face under the water until it washes clean. When I get out of the shower I apply baking soda all over my face, followed by a super light layer of coconut oil, then one more layer of baking soda just to absorb most of the oil.. leaving it on all day.

Works for me as long as I use coconut oil to moisturize
Baking soda would leave my skin very dry if I didnt immediately put coconut oil on afterward. Since using it though, my skin has cleared up a lot. My method would probably make people shudder. -Coconut oil moisturizer -Baking soda wash -Spot treatment with wart remover. Yes wart remover. I apply it very fast, wipe it off, and cover it with coconut oil and its been working.

Pros:

-Leaves skin feeling tight
-Reduces size of pores
-Protects face against pillowcase
-Brings budding problems to the surface for you to deal with
-Dries out face, preventing new whiteheads

Cons:

-Very messy (I worry at the end of the semester of my parents and the like viewing all of the white residue sprinkled haphazardly over the furniture and floor as being dope or something similar)
-It can burn. It can burn, continue to burn, and remain burning. As I type this it is burning. It is burning because I burned my face with ACV today and pray that this mask I'm wearing will simply slog off this problem layer of skin and reset me with a fresh orange layer

Baking soda is variable; as you continue to use it you will grow to understand its uses (when it is timely to use it, what you should use it for, what you shouldn't use it for and when) and you will become well-versed at applying it. To me, baking soda is an exfoliator as well as a protective mask I can use that will essentially give me a fresh layer of skin to work with after waking up and washing the mask off. I believe that one (not me, because I haven't yet figured out the right combination of the two) could expertly use baking soda and ACV together in some way to fully solve their acne problems, but I am still struggling. Personally, my face is tolerant to baking soda, less so to ACV. I believe in the future I can avoid the present malady I gave to myself by using more of the one and less of the other. In the end of the day it is not the substances which are causing problems for me, only myself. The bottom line therefore is that baking soda is a wonderful product that for most cases will only produce a negative effect as a result of human error.
