Pros:

This is both the least expensive and most effective product I've ever used.

Cons:

None for me, some report it's less gentle than they'd like.

I've never even let the baking soda sit on my skin, I've simply used it in the shower or at the sink in lieu of official face-cleansing products. My face feels cleaner and looks better afterward than with any other product, and an oil-free moisturizer takes care of the mild tight feeling the baking soda can cause.

Pros:

It worked great! I had a huge zit on my forehead and it already reduced about half! I also had very noticable blackheads on my nose and they are almost gone after one time!

Cons:

none yet!

It worked great for the first time...I don't know how it will work in the long run, but i have been using percription spot medication and the baking soda worked better in one day then that has been in weeks...

Pros:

You probably have it in your kitchen, very cheap, easy to use, no added chemicals, very safe to use, has a million uses.

Cons:

It may burn a little if you have sensitive skin.

On Monday morning, I woke up with a T-zone whitehead attack. My entire forehead, my nose, my chin, and my temples were absolutely riddled with whiteheads. There were hundreds upon hundreds of them. My face looked like a sheet of Braille. It was absolutely horrifying. And I'm African-American with dark skin, so I was very worried about hyperpigmentation. Before bed Monday night, I rinsed my face with warm water to open up my pores. Then I applied a mask consisting of baking soda and water. I let the mask dry (about 10 minutes) and then rinsed it off. I followed up with 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. I followed this routine every night. Now it's Saturday morning, and the whiteheads are 96% gone. There are just a few tiny ones here and there. The baking soda mask is a lifesaver and works brilliantly, especially for mild (non-cystic) acne. It's the only thing that works for me. THE ONLY THING. And I don't even have any hyperpigmentation! YAY!

Cons:

Baking Soda is turning out to be a best solution for all common problems. Try Googling Baking soda on "Teeth Cleaning", "Hair Cleaning" , "Face cleaning". I have already tried Face Cleaning, and Teeth Cleaning, and it has been great. will try with Shampoo this weekend :) I am very happy, got finally that WORKS !

Pros:

Cheap, Gentle, clears skin and doesn't scratch to hard

Cons:

tastes a little bad if you get it in your mouth

I make a scrub of Baking soda, little lemon juice and honey. Mix it all together to form a thick paste, apply in the shower scrub lightly for about 30seconds and then rinse with cool water..LOVE IT. The BS is a great gentle exfoliant, the lemon juice adds some glow to the skin and the honey adds some moisture. What more can you ask for! May not work for everyone, but for me, it's awesome :-)

Pros:

Totally smooths out skin - buffs away dead skin cells for more refreshed look

Cons:

none

I started using this stuff as a cleanser w/water about a year ago. Seems to buff dead skin cells without irritating. Well, it's a year later, tried some other stuff (jojoba) and just broke out terribly - ugh. Now, I was trying to remember back when I had great skin - it was down to: -Thoroughly Clean Face Wash w/Extra Gentle Buf Puf -Baking Soda Paste w/Water in shower (2-3x wk, as needed) -Proactiv toner, then lotion - voila! This, for me, gave me perfect skin. If it's working, stick to it! Experiment, start new things slowly to see what works for you. Good luck - can't go wrong w/baking soda. It WORKS and it's cheap!

Pros:

it worked immediately for me!!!

Cons:

taste bad but its worth it...try mixing it with something like lemon water or just take it and get it over with :)

The promblem is my body is too acidic. So i figured to really get the acne to go away, i needed to take something to alkaline my body. I even prayed for the Lord the help me cause i have struggled for years with my skin. I started taking baking soda (1/4 of a teaspoon...i take a little more but i would start out with a fourth) every night and within 2 days my skin was almost completely healed and felt smoother than ever. Try it and if your pregnant or have high blood pressure than i would check with my doctor b/c of salt content.

Pros:

Helps clear reddness, and pimple appear less noticeable! Its a lot ceaper than acne products, and even works better than some of them.

Cons:

A little reddness at first but it goes away. Dose not completly get rid of big pimples, but will dry them up.

Try it! I mix some baking soda, with a little water so its like a paste. The apply to trouble spots for 10 minutes, rinse, and pat face dry.
