Pros:

It left my skin feeling smooth. Made my expoliator more effective when removing my scars. Dried out my open comedones.

Cons:

Burns. For a good amount of times. I would keep away from your mucosal areas (near your eyes and creases near your nose)

Good product. I find it was very helpful when teamed with twice daily treatments of topical erythromycin.

Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

Itches a lot, makes skin red and irritated.

There are much more soothing acne medications available out there. This has never worked for me, ever.

Pros:

i found it to work after two weeks i found that it got rid of my white and balck heads and my skin was smoother!

Cons:

it did itch to begin with, and the price was really expensive here, i paid 31 dollars for a 30gram tube

even tho your skin itches for the first couple of weeks stick at it! i was so relieved to find something that actually had an effect on my skin, i was on doxycycline at the time aswel but once i stopped using the skinoren my acne came back!!

Pros:

It works. Nothing else worked before. Skin feels smoother after a few days.

Cons:

itches, but for a very short time. You can not use it longer than 6 month and skin can get sensitive to sun. I use it from october to april, then I am only on some cosmetic stuff.

The fist weeks it itches and seems do not have much effect, but after one month you see big improvement. About the same time it stops itching, then you can help dead-skin removal with scrubs one-two time a week - skinoren gets even more effective. Though now, when I ahve used it for 4 or 5 years 6 months per year, the effect is lower - my skin seems have got used to the acid in skinoren and does not respond as good as before.

Pros:

Easy-to-apply, soaks in to skin, doesn't sting or dry

Cons:

Under-the-surface white heads

I am using this as well as Spirotone for 3-4 months. It goes on easy, but has some little grains in the cream sometimes. My skin has improved, but I am not sure if it is the cream or Spiro.. I think Spiro mainly. This has kept large nodules at bay, but it gives me lots of under-the-surface white heads, I don't know if these would otherwise be big nasty spots, if so maybe I should be grateful! But they are annoying and easy to pick at and make worse.. so I'm back to square one really!

rosacea

its a miracle! after years of trying this and that in desperation of treating my long term diagnosed rosacea,

my poor end of her tether doctor, unwittingly prescribed yet another combo erythromycin with a tube of skinoren!

as usual, on goes the cream first wondering how many times i,ll have to apply this! before its obvious that nothing is happening.

literally within seconds, i could feel the creams acid reaction on my face! this was very new.

i applied a good heavy layer over my entire face and rubbed it in well, the next morning at least 70% of my rosacea had gone!

i repeated the application until i could no longer feel the acid reaction, 4 days, and the rosacea is completely gone!

i still had some lumps and bumps on the back of my neck, applied the cream, gone in 2 days!

the rosacea has now been gone for 8days, this is the tricky bit, keeping it away.

so far 8 days is a new record for me, im keeping my fingers crossed.

Life saver

I began laser treatment for acne after having a very bad breakout after going to France in August 2018. I tried everything! Creams, natural measures, diet (lost about 1stone in - month) cutting out everything including diary and bread. My journey was immense and my mental health at an all time low! Finally went to see the derm who prescribed skinoren. Within 2 weeks I saw massive changes in my skin. Much clearer and brighter. I have got a spots still appearing but I started it in November and my skin is the most clear it has been in over 6months! So happy!
