Pros:

It works, you still get some bumps, but they clear up much faster!

Cons:

Can leave you feeling greasy if you have oily skin like me.

Try it out, if you have mild-moderate acne and I have brown skin with marks, it clears up the major breakouts and heals the new ones faster. Also, you can buy it from NZ for cheap. $35.00 for 3 bottles of cream (3 months worth).

Pros:

light skin tone, reduced number of comedos, smooth skin, no redness

Cons:

stinging sensation couple of minutes upon application

after using differin for 2 months straight and the horrible initial breakout i was left with lots of redmarks and still more breakouts. i added skinoren to my treatment and it helped immediately, faded red marks, lightened my redish skin tone and stopped formation of new comedos and acne. it's getting better each day. i've been treating acne for quite some time and i've used everything except accutane, this works very well and the best thing is there's no irritation like with other acne medications.

Pros:

Reduces oilyness...

Cons:

I've been using the product for 2 months now and my skin hasn't improved at all. I still get breakouts, I still have whiteheads on my cheeks and the red spots are still there also... I'm very disappointed with this product.

Didn't work for me.

Pros:

First week and I've seen quite an improvement. I've suffered for years and not bothered until my Doc recommended it.

Cons:

Hurts like hell!!!!

I'll persevere because I think it is going to work. My skin is smoother and eruptions are reducing quite rapidly. UK has NHS so it's quite cheap here. I'm not bothered about fragrance.

Pros:

It works better than the other creams I've tried.

Cons:

don't know why, but it gives me dry eyes. So I started applying it further from my eyes and seemed to have taken care of that

I didn't have the itching or stinging that I read about. I think I have acne cause my skin cells really don't turn over fast enough so maybe now they are and that's why it doesn't sting. I also use Aveeno Radiant Wash to wash my face and wait at leasr 5 miutes before applying the skinoren.

Not for long term BP users / Sensitive skin
Longtime BP user here, 10+ years. I wanted to try something different so I got a Skinoren prescription from Boots ( UK) online. Used it for about 4-5 weeks. I probably went little balls deep on it ( used too much from the off) but it made my skin so incredibly itchy. I also got a bit of a chemical burn on my cheek near to my nose. It would take about 30-60 minutes before my skin would feel normal. I also couldn't find any info about using a moisturizer in combination with it.... lots of conflicting info everywhere. Didn't really help with acne just irritated my skin. I may give it another go ( using less of it next time) but it's not suitable for long-term use so any benefits will be < 9 months as its recommended to stop use after a year. I've also used differin which gave me a similar experience.

Pros:

worked for 2 days. seems to work initially for first few hours when put on skin.

Cons:

after 2 hrs skin became extremely greasy. I was really suffering from whiteheads and blackheads (small zits), after using this cream for 1 week i now have 5 huge papules on my face with even more blackheads and whiteheads and make up just seems to slide off.

Stopped use after one week as skin is in much worse condition than when i started.
