Pros:

Didn't experience any of the painful itching or stinging other people have.

Cons:

Painful cystic breakouts, worse than before I started!

I've only been using this product for 2 - 3 weeks. I keep hoping that things'll settle down as my skin gets used to it, but so far... no sign of improvement. The acne on my chin and jawline is worse than ever! So far... definitely not recommended. I'm going to try it for one more week; then it's back to Proactiv for me. If I really do have rosacea, per the dermatologist that prescribed this stuff, I'll try a new pair of creams from Prescriptives.

Awesome Product for Acne. Fellow Acne Sufferers, please do try it out. I've tried everything under the sun but this is the ONLY thing that works.

Cons:

Prescription-medication.

Pros:

got this under the NHS in england
doesnt dry out skin

Cons:

skin is greasy at times

i was prescribed this to fade my scars on my cheeks but i haven't really noticed a difference in that aspect. i have however noticed that it completely cleared my back acne and because it regulates cell growth, i dont get blackheads anymore! my skin is never dry and flaky anymore when i use this stuff at night so thats a definite plus. i'm not sure if its helping clear up pimples because i'm still breaking out on my cheeks!

Pros:

Acts fast on pustule cysts and whiteheads.

Cons:

Expensive but insurance reimbursed me. It burns and stings like hell for about 10 minutes. Started to itch and dry up resulting in dryness on one side of my jawline.

I just started using it because I started breaking out like crazy. I was using hormone pills, progesterine, for pregnancy. After 3 months, I had to stop the pills because my face broke out. I haven't been out in public for about 2 weeks. It's so embarrassing. I only had like 5 big pustule cysts and other marks so In desperation, I went to Rite Aide to purchase benzoyl peroxide and salicic acid which I used the first day. Then I made an appointment with my Dermatologist the next day for a chemical peel which I used to get every month at no cost to me due to insurance covering. The second day I received my chemical peel at 12pm at seemed worse but within a few hours I noticed inflammation decreased. I used Azelex the third day and saw some change. I noticed my scars decreasing in color and size. However, I noticed that I was starting to dry up on one side of my face. I started using Aloe Vera gel and seems like its working. Today I am in my 4th day and am seeing a major improvement. AMEN

Pros:

Almost completly cleared my skin in about one week!!! No drying so no moisturizer (whoo!)

Cons:

You don't get much for 30 bucks. But I'll pay whatever the price is for clear skin

This stuff has changed my life! I've tried benzaclin and it was too drying. Then I tried ziana, ugh I cringe when I hear that name. I was in hell for about 5 weeks on that thing! I broke out worse than I ever have before and made my face extreamly oily! I wanted to through it out the window! I didn't want to go anywhere and I cried when I looked at myself in the mirror. Anyways... I was switch to finacea and I saw dramatic reasults in 3 days! Yes, I said 3 days. I went from a whole big pimpley mess to very tiny black and whiteheads that I can deffinatly deal with in about one week! I know this stuff will clear up the rest in the next few weeks. It doesn't dry out my face nor does it make it oily. I love it. I never thought that skin would clear this fast and mine did! TRY IT!!!!! It's my god sent cream I tell you. I would reccomend it to anyone who hates topicals like ziana!!!

Pros:

it didnt dry out my face like most other topicals do and it also is invisible when you put it on.

Cons:

it didnt work what-so-ever. it made my face more oily, especially at night. i'd wake up the next day with such oily skin. it doesnt get rid of blackheads which was what i told me dermatologist i wanted to do in the first place and i still broke out.

i dont recommend this to anyone who has a more oily skin with blackheads. it just doesnt get to the root of the problem like its designed to do. it just makes you break out more due to the stress of its inability to do the job.

Pros:

Rids the red pimples; prevents new breakouts; lightens old healed pimple scars.

Cons:

Itches for first 5-10mins but goes away.

Got rid of my forehead and all breakouts; had to get off of birth control pills cause i'm trying to get pregnant---the BCPs kept my skin beautifully clear for many years. Azelex helped me a whole lot!!!!

Pros:

AMAZING at reducing redness and has a nice, matte texture unlike most topical medications

Cons:

Made my extremely oily skin much oilier, however as the oil would usually turn my fair skin hot and red as the day went on, this gel kept it incredibly light. Didnt seem to stop acne whatsoever.

I was using 2.5% bp and had been for years. I recently stopped bcp and started getting big cysts and pimples on my jawline and chin. The derm gave me an rx for finacea, to try something new. I then stopped the bp completely to use the finacea instead. The first few days were amazing! My face hadn't had such a fair, lovely glow to it since before I was a teen. I couldn't believe what a miracle gel it was. It burned only slightly for the first 5 mins, but nothing intolerable. However, day after day I began breaking out more and more and telling myself it was a "purging" stage. But it continually got worse and the finacea was doing nothing to stop the acne! Finally I realized that I should never have stopped the BP so suddenly. I don't know know how much the finacea contributed to or just didn't stop the breakout, but I had to stop it. I do, though, def recommend this to try. It could be a wonderful topical for some, just not for me! On a separate note: DONT stop bp cold turkey!!!
