Pros:

-Dries out pimples quickly.
-Makes your skin very soft.
-It works!

Cons:

-Itching/burning if your face is too dry before applying.

Best topical I have used. Awesome stuff. I feel like my breakouts heal quicker when using Finacea. Marks are vanishing. My skin feels awesome and honestly looked better after one use. I apply it twice a day, morning and night, which might be too much for some people. Make sure you rub it in well so you aren't left with white streaks on your face :) I would definitely recommend this to anyone ready for a change. It is AWESOME.

Pros:

Effective in treating nodules and light acne.

Cons:

Burning/stinging of skin, sometimes lasting all day. Super expensive, even with insurance. Not effective on roseacea or whiteheads.

While this worked for some of my acne - especially stopping nodules - I saw very little difference with my roseacea or whiteheads. The burning sensation became intolerable so I stopped using.

Not good at all
This was the worst decision I ever could have made for my skin. I have been struggling with acne since I was about 12. I began seeing a dermatologist when I turned 20. After about a year of trying antibiotics and several topicals, I finally asked to be put on Accutane. I did a 10 month round of Accutane and my skin was clearer than ever and continued to be even after finishing it last April. However, I recently switched from being obsessed with my acne to being obsessed with my rosacea and the redness/papules associated with it. My derm recommended Finacea gel to combat the rosacea. Within a couple of days, my regularly clear skin has broken out in many painful, inflamed cysts.. worse than my acne ever was pre-Accutane. I am now terrified that I just ruined all of the progress I had made by using this one product for less than a week. Here's to hoping my acne does not come back with a vengeance and have to begin a second round of Accutane.

Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

Burning, itching, redness, increases skin oil, made me breakout horribly.

I used it for 5 days, and from day 1 my skin blew up. It made my skin more red and more oily than it already was. It itched and burned like hell. I know you are supposed to continue with a product for a month, but I just couldn't do it. Something about it didn't agree with my skin and I couldn't continue with it. I see my derm in 2 weeks and I'll explain to him what happened. I'm also on doxycycline. I'm on a high dose so I'm hoping that helps my acne.

Pros:

May help pimples and redness

Cons:

My skin got so oily, I had to discontinue use
Burning and itching when applied
Expensive

I wish this worked as well for me as it seems to have worked for most people. If I had read these reviews, I would have said "Whoo-hoo! Sign me up!" But I have found that azelaic acid makes my skin unbearably oily. I don't have naturally oily skin to begin with, so this was a new feeling. I had to blot throughout the day, and my makeup was sliding right off. Any benefits weren't outweighed by how oily my skin became.

My Last Hope
So I started using Finacea last night after I stopped using Clingadel, which I was using for the past couple months but didn't really see any results. Now started using finacea gel, I hope my clears my acne up because I have been struggling with acne since I was 16, now am 22. I been through so many topical, antibiotics, and even two round of accutane, and nothing seems to keep my acne at bay. I just hope this will be the one that clears my acne once and for all!!!

Works, give it time

Finally a product that is working for my acne. After exhaustsing my dermatologists arsenal of topical medications, they gave this Finacea one last shot before putting me on Accutane. At first I wasn't pleased and didn't see much change, but kept using as prescribed (at night first for the first month, then morning and night since) and now at month 3, I have ZERO pimples. This is the first time my face has been clear in years. This cream has been a godsend.

Hi. I just asked my dermatologist for a prescription.  It is very expensive unfortunately,  but I'm getting it anyway.  I hope I get good results...I'm at the end of my rope with my face.
