Pros:

so cheap, easy to make, makes my large planet size pores into poreless skin

Cons:

this thing stinkssssssss

i use this as a scrub because im too afraid to leave it on for too long.. but maybe i should try. heres what i do; i take about 5 tablet (remember to get uncoated so it dissolves easily) and sprinkle a couple drops of water on it. then i add a less than a dime size amount of honey and let it dissolve. then i use it as a scrub but remember to scrub gently for it might irritate the skin. and MY GOSH. my skin is glowing and is poreless. IMEDIATE RESULTS. must try for such a cheap price. and you can find asprin and honey around your house. so what do you have to lose?!

this may just be me because i think i have always had a sensitivity to salicylic acid...but this mask gave me a break out..perhaps its more of a purging? but i wont be doing it again...im sure that it will def help others who may not purge with sa..i know it was due to the mask cuz i only applied it around my chin, cheek and nose area just to see how my skin reacted and what do u know? 2 weeks later i had a breakout in those same areas...oh well. :(

Pros:

Dirt cheap, nice tingling sensation, easily accessible, etc.

Cons:

It gets in my hair >:[

I love using aspirin masks. They work VERY quickly and effectively. I used to use an aspirin mask mixed with honey, but then ants invaded my honey. So I switched to mixing in some moisturizer for a while, but I finally settled on mixing in toothpaste. Toothpaste has definitely worked the best. It smells fresh, it tingles like crazy, and it really makes the aspirin stick until you wash it off. I leave it on until the toothpaste stops tingling.

this is great, really save my money from buying that all expensive-non-working-acne-cosmetics! this is what i do : 1. take 5 pills of aspirin 2. 1 teaspoon of plain yoghurt 3. 1 teaspoon of honey 4. mix them and use as a mask ! try it !

Pros:

soft

Cons:

Stops working after a while

When I first started doing the aspirin mask 3x a week, I thought that my acne had been cured! I was so ecstatic, but after a year it stopped working. Then I started mixing aspirin with my cleanser and washing my face with aspirin every night. Even that stopped working after a while. Now that I think about it, I've become tolerant to every product I've tried - Proactiv, aspirin, Neutrogena, etc. etc. Aspirin works great for mild acne. Now my cystic acne has gotten so bad that I'm on antibiotics and Ziana. My acne is hormonally induced, so I don't think anything topical is really gonna do anything. I'd recommend aspirin mask for mild acne. It's dirt cheap and exfoliating. I even read that beta-hydroxy acid (aspirin) reverse aging of the skin! (Maybe that's why my face has gotten firmer and plumper?)

Pros:

There are sooooooo many I don't know where to start! THIS WORKS! Takes away the redness and inflamation greatly. Bumps are smaller and much less noticable. It works as a mask, spot treatment and facial scrub! My skin feels sooo smooth. Try it!

Cons:

None.

I have been battling acne for 25 years. I have tried everything out there. Even two courses of Accutane. I have never seen faster results than with this simple solution. Aspirin is AMAZING! Here's what I do. I buy the large bottle of Aspirin from Target. I use a coffee grinder to grind the pills into a powder. If you can't do that, buy the uncoated aspirin so you can dissolve them in a few drops of water. I mix the powder with pure aloe gel, honey and some tea tree oil. Aloe is healing, honey is antibacterial and it helps keep the paste from becoming crumbly and last the tea tree oil is great at fighting the bacteria too! I can easily leave this on my face as a spot treatment all day or night. I use the mask 2-5 times per week as I need it. It also makes an amazing scrub when you wash off the mask. Your skin will feel so soft! Note: Make sure you use raw honey, and a good quality tea tree oil from a health food store. This mixture goes a long way too! Good luck!

Pros:

This is the most inexpensive way to get rid of acne. No need for expensive doctor visits

Cons:

A little messy, but worth it.

I am 29 years of age and for the first time in my life I had terrible acne, after using proactive and other meds this home remedy worked like a charm. I used it for four days and began to see amazing improvements on my face. Warning to proactive users this causes you to break out more and takes a while before it works, then skin becomes dependent on it, unlike the asprin with aloe. I found that mixing the aloe with the asprin made my skin very soft and not dried out.
