Pros:

makes skin extremely soft, your skin glows when taking it off, doubles as an exfoliating scrub when rinsing it off, reduces redness. reasonable price.

Cons:

none that i can think of right now.

I have suffered from acne since i was 12, I am 18 now and I have tried anything from laser acne treatmens, microdermabrasions, chemical peels, proactive, retin-a, benzaclin, just everything, and I have spent a lot of money on those too. THIS REALLY WORKS. I was skeptical at first but now that i tried it, i'm satisfied. My skin feels softer, and it looks brighter. I've only used it once so I have not seen scarring fade away yet. This is how I prepared mine: I took about 10-15 coated asipirins (works the same as uncoated) and half a teaspoon of water. I let the water dissolve the aspirin in to a thick but smooth consistancy, and I added a little squirt of my favorite mouisturizer, which is from Bellederm. remember ADD THE WATER BEFORE CRUSHING. It makes it so much easier to crush. The just spread all over your face, and if done correctly, it wont flake away, it simply stays in place. Then, exfoliate when washing off after 30 minutes. Hope this helps you!

Pros:

dries out my zits in a span of 1 week and cleared my skin

Cons:

can be very drying

I used 6 Aspirins dissolved in few drops of water, then i dab some hydrogen peroxide after washing my face from the solution. I do this every night, and sometime in the morning if I don't go out in the sun. After a week or so, i did see amazing results as first witnessed by my dad's officemate.

Pros:

you can easily test it on one hand compared to the other before on face-as with any mask. skin is very soft and helps acne. with regular use i actually get compliments about my skin and questions as to how i got it that way. not to forget super cheap

Cons:

if not used to your skin being red for about 15 min afterwards...

if u r not a chemist, don't make this complicated. any non-coated asprin should suffice. be careful of what you mix the crushed aspirin with. best to use water first. i use cetaphil cleanser. works wonders. on uncoated aspirin you can place one to two drops of water on an individual pill and it should easily break apart.

Pros:

I CURED my cystic acne through a special preparation sequence involving extraction of pure aspirin crystals and addition of those crystals to neutrogena body wash as a viscous base.

Cons:

This preparation is extremely harsh and not for everyone. The skin on my hands peeled off several times due to it. This has potential for liver and kidney toxicity due to the high concentrations of aspirin. Don't get it in your eyes!

I use a technique called recrystalization to actually extract pure aspirin crystals from tablets. I had a lot of trouble finding a base to add these to since the crystals make virtually everything extremely watery. I finally did find a base - neutrogena oil free body wash - which does not grow watery with addition of the crytals. The wash, which I use daily, has virtually elimiated my acne. I had cystic acne before, and now I have virtually clear skin. Why this is not a commercial product is a mystery to me. In any case, the mixture contains approximately 50 to 90 percent aspirin crytals. I am not overly concerned about liver or kidney toxicity because I think that the chemicals probably do not enter my bloodstream to a large extent. This formulation is extremely harsh. You should wear gloves when applying it to your face (My hands have actually peeled due to the drying). I think there are a lot of chemicals that can cure acne. This is one of them.

Pros:

It really works. Have had acne for the past five years. Over the counter products and prescription drugs (Accutane, Retin-A, Duac) only had temporary results.

Cons:

none

Actually, the honey and aloe vera are not required, simply put about 12 uncoated aspirin in a zip lock bag and use a hammer to crush them then add a little water to make a paste and apply for about twenty minutes two to three times a week to keep acne at bay. I also mix 1 tablespoon of vinegar to a cup of water and dab all over face for 20 minutes once a week to kill bacteria.

Pros:

Smooth Skin, Affordable, Multipurpose, Simple

Cons:

Slightly Messy

The Aspirin Mask is a great alternative to try. Unlike other facial products that contain a copious amount of chemicals and fragrances, Aspirin is extremely basic and helps to smooth the skin, reduce redness, and treat acne. I find the the Aspirin mask works good with 3-5 tablets and a few drops of water, you want a very grainy mixture. Once achvieved, spread on the skin and leave for 5-10 minutes. From there to get an even exfoliation, an electric toothbrush achives the microdermabrasion effect without the expensive cost. Rinse the skin following scrubbing, and apply toner to remove any aspirin grains still remaining on the skin. Following all of this, apply a moisturizer with SPF. This process takes at most 10 minutes and used once daily I find my skin is now trained and has evend in complexion and lessened in acne.

Pros:

The aspirin mask plus honey has really shrunk my pores and decreased my skin's oil production after application -- two things nothing else has accomplished -- and also seems to have decreased (although not eliminated) pimples.

Cons:

Messy, and I found the mask works much better than using aspirin as a scrub, so I have to keep it on for half an hour.

Really worth a try. It's not an elegant solution -- you look comical covered in aspirin paste -- but it is incredibly cheap and fairly effective. I should mention I use it in combination with Duac and Differin. When I tried to stop the Duac and just use aspirin and Differin, I broke out more. But using all three together is much more effective (so far) than just using the prescription products.

Pros:

everything, leaves your skin REALLY smooth, and even toned

Cons:

messy and if it gets in your nose you will sneeze like a crazy person

TRY IT. after using this noxema was in june, my face was a mess, my cheeks HURT from all the huge red pimples. there was a point where i didnt even want to go out. my doctor gave me a prescription topical gel erythromycin which took away most of the huge pimples but i still had a BUNCH of tiny pimples under the skin which WOULD NOT go away. i tried the aspirin mask and now my skin is completely clear except for one pimple i picked at, and the ones of my forehead which are only there cause of the oil from my hair. TRY IT. you will LOVE IT.
