Pros:

you can easily test it on one hand compared to the other before on face-as with any mask. skin is very soft and helps acne. with regular use i actually get compliments about my skin and questions as to how i got it that way. not to forget super cheap

Cons:

if not used to your skin being red for about 15 min afterwards...

if u r not a chemist, don't make this complicated. any non-coated asprin should suffice. be careful of what you mix the crushed aspirin with. best to use water first. i use cetaphil cleanser. works wonders. on uncoated aspirin you can place one to two drops of water on an individual pill and it should easily break apart.

Pros:

Smooth Skin, Affordable, Multipurpose, Simple

Cons:

Slightly Messy

The Aspirin Mask is a great alternative to try. Unlike other facial products that contain a copious amount of chemicals and fragrances, Aspirin is extremely basic and helps to smooth the skin, reduce redness, and treat acne. I find the the Aspirin mask works good with 3-5 tablets and a few drops of water, you want a very grainy mixture. Once achvieved, spread on the skin and leave for 5-10 minutes. From there to get an even exfoliation, an electric toothbrush achives the microdermabrasion effect without the expensive cost. Rinse the skin following scrubbing, and apply toner to remove any aspirin grains still remaining on the skin. Following all of this, apply a moisturizer with SPF. This process takes at most 10 minutes and used once daily I find my skin is now trained and has evend in complexion and lessened in acne.

Pros:

The aspirin mask plus honey has really shrunk my pores and decreased my skin's oil production after application -- two things nothing else has accomplished -- and also seems to have decreased (although not eliminated) pimples.

Cons:

Messy, and I found the mask works much better than using aspirin as a scrub, so I have to keep it on for half an hour.

Really worth a try. It's not an elegant solution -- you look comical covered in aspirin paste -- but it is incredibly cheap and fairly effective. I should mention I use it in combination with Duac and Differin. When I tried to stop the Duac and just use aspirin and Differin, I broke out more. But using all three together is much more effective (so far) than just using the prescription products.

Pros:

Makes your acne less noticeable, Makes the redness go away, Makes your skin soft and it doesn't cost much!

Cons:

None. Bit messy to apply but you'll get over that.

Be sure to add honey. Honey is an important step and can defiantly help soften the skin also. Do not use this aspirin mask a lot because the aspirin can be absorbed into your skin. I only use 2-3 tablets of it. And drops of water and some honey. I use coated but it's best to use uncoated. And when your going to rinse it off rub lightly on your face so it can act like a scrub. Then rinse off. Your skin will look and feel good. But if your pimples hurt don't rub it.

Pros:

Cheap. Easy.

Cons:

Could scare housemates while it's on.

I only have mild breakouts and sensitive skin. This mask got rid of the redness and blotchiness, the pimples (not very big anyway)are smaller too. The honey is soothing and I guess it stopped my skin from getting too dry like other people have had. I also applied fresh aloe vera afterwards and put on a bit of Bare Minerals cos I'm off to see the boy. Asprin = happy skin.

Pros:

More even-toned skin, softer, smoother and reduces redness.

Cons:

A little drying, but my skin is dry to begin with. Nothing a little Olay moisturizer won't fix.

About two months ago I started getting these little blemishes on my forehead and my cheeks...nothing seemed to work until I sucked it up and tried doing this. Once a day I take 4-5 little uncoated tablets (I got like...a billion of them at CVS for $7), mix them up into a paste with some hot water. Then, I mix it with my Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser and wash my face with it for about two minutes. Don't SCRUB! Very gentle rubbing is best. It's been about three days so far, and I'm happy to say that those little forehead/cheek blemishes are almost all gone! After, I use some Olay Complete Moisture Lotion with SPF 15 - Sensitive Skin....and my face is starting to look normal again! I haven't used it as a mask yet, but perhaps I'll try it one day!

Pros:

Works really well and is remarkably cheap!

Cheapest most effective remedy yet. This is the miracle beauty secret I have searched for.

Pros:

It really does make your face a lot smoother and it reduces the visibility of scars and such over a short period of usage.

Cons:

None really, besides if you use the mask too often it may cause your face to be really dry. But do remember to always use a moisterizer afterwards.

Basically the aspirin and honey mixed together takes of a thin layer of your skin each time you wash it off which is why you shouldn't over use the mask. I wouldn't recommend using it more than once a day and I would start off by using the mask every other night. I also don't leave the mask on for long unless I get lazy. The approx. time I leave it on is for about 15 minutes. Using this mask has improved my skin by far, and I'm really glad I learned about it. I wish I would have found out about this mask sooner though!
