Pros:

Cheap, easy, works for whiteheads and blackheads

Cons:

doesn't do much for cysts

I had acne for years and still get pimples on my chin and the occasional cyst, but the worst part was the blackheads left on my nose and chin. Using ASA as a scrub and mask has dramatically reduced my blackheads. I'm still purging a bit, but I'm not getting any more (the blackheads have to go somewhere). It really does help with redness and pimples, and my chin is getting pretty clear (after a setback at that time of the month). I'm not sure how much it's helping with red 'scars'. When I started with this I had the most painful, swollen cyst between my eyes, and this brought down the swelling and redness, but I still have the cyst under the skin. My skin is much softer and smoother now. I just wish all the red marks would disappear!

Pros:

It's cheap, and you can incorporate it with other skin products you like.

Cons:

Crumbles all over the place if left on overnight, and probably won't cure acne.

I have tried everything: proactive, tetracycline, tricyclen, the proactive system, power cleanse detox, acnezine, and loads of other expensive products. I've used aspirin mask for 4 days and it's worked better than any of them. I am still getting pimples, but my skin feels smoother every day and just has a generally cleaner look. Also, a lot of dead skin has been flaking off, which is refreshing. My method is leaving the mask on overnight. Here is what I do: I have scarring from acne, so I begin by rubbing a squirt or two of cocoa butter scar serum into my skin. Then, mix three Aspirin tablets with a few drops of water in a small container -- I use a bottle cap. Once the mixture is somewhat smooth, I add in a little blob of toothpaste (toothpaste has been said to help with acne, and it also binds the aspirin mixture to keep it from crumbling). Then I mix that with a big blob of moisturizer and rub it all over my face. After rinsing it off in the morning my skin looks so much

Pros:

Smooth skin, Fades away redness and dark spots, evens skin, clearer and baby smooth face. Great for acne!! i have never seen an mask do such a amazing job in only 20mins!! try it

Cons:

NONE!

Use the uncoated aspirin and mix it with honey. apply after washing face and leave on for about 20-30 mins and wash to see the results! Only use the mask a few times a week, it can dry your face a little.

Pros:

Reduces redness, Size of acne, very affordable and easy to use

Cons:

Falls off, makes you sneeze

This really works, but does not make the acne fully go away. It only reduces the size!

Pros:

Cheap, easy to make, stores well, very versatile, gives skin a nice (temporary) glow, treats acne

Cons:

Dries out skin and can sting if too much is used.

*If you're having trouble crushing acne, just put a drop of water on the pill. After a few minutes, it will turn to mush. My own aspirin mask recipe is: One uncoated aspirin, two tablespoons plain unsweetened full fat yogurt, one teaspoon of honey, and one teaspoon of green tea powder. Leave on for ten minutes, then scrub off using a very mild cleanser. Use once per week and you will notice an improvement in your skin. Moisturize with pure shea butter after to keep skin hydrated. You can make a large batch and store it in the fridge. Use one aspirin with a drop of honey for acne spot treatments.

Pros:

Absolutely fantastic at clearing up blackheads immediately. When used in conjunction with other acne products, it definitely helps to clear pores and reduce redness a little.

Cons:

None, just like everything else, you have to be consistent and patient in using it and it definitely works!

Noting is a miracle product all on its own. I like to wash my face first with Burt's Bees Oragne Oil cleanser then I put a few aspirin in my hand and add a FEW drops of water until they dissolve into a paste. Then I scrub my face gently with the aspirin and leave it on for anywhere from 10-20 minutes. Then I rinse it off and use Burt's Bees Tomato Toner (also amazing!). Then I spot treat my face with Tea Tree Oil. I also use Burt's Bees Pore refining mask for a change up now and then. So, although I use a couple of different things, I do think that the aspirin made a big difference in clearing up blackheads and taking away a lot of the redness and size of existing pimples. Definitely give it a try, it is so cheap and easy to do. The aspirin that I purchased had minimal ingredients (just aspirin and starch) and is so easy to incorporate into the routine that you already have!

Pros:

makes my skin softer, and feels more cleaner then using normal face washes.

Cons:

nothing that i can really think of.

it works great for me! :) i only use it once a week though so i don't over do it. all i do is; 1 - take 2 aspirins in the middle of some saran wrap and make it so it's closed in, hit it a little with a spoon or something like a meat hammer (clean meat hammer that is)until it is a fine powder, and put it in a small cup. 2 - add a little water!!! just enough to make it like a scrub plus a little liquid. 3- spread/scrub (gently) it on your face and let dry all the way for me about 5 mins. 10 mins tops though i'd say (i just don't want too many chemicals on my face) 4- wash off with warm water, and close with cold water.

Pros:

CHEAP, super quick to make, no strange mystery ingredients, effective

Cons:

Need a pill-grinder or crushing the aspirin is difficult

I heard about apirin masks on this site and decided to try it. I really loved how my face felt afterward! My skin felt fresh and super smooth. I can tell that it helped to shrink my pores-especially around my nose. On some other sites I looked at it talked about the added benefits of putting a bit of honey or yogurt in the aspirin-water mix for moisturizing, and I definately want to try this next time. I also read that it can be left on overnight as a spot treatment to help reduce redness in pimples. Needless to say-I'll be trying this mask again. :)

Pros:

It works great and its easy!
Cost effective. (Aspirin & Shaving Cream)

Cons:

If having to wash a coffee cup is a con...then thats the cons.

Cheap and it really works. I put 4-5 aspirins in a coffee cup and sprinkle them with warm water...just enough to disolve them. After a few minutes, I stir them with a spoon. Next, I add Gillette Gel Ultra Moisturizing shaving cream for my mask and it works great! Mix the apirin and shaving cream together and leave on for an half hour or so. Been using for over a month now and it works great. Just yesterday, my barber even noticed and asked if i've been using anything! I use about every other day. Hasn't dried me out at all!!! $3.99 for a huge 1000ct aspirin bottle at Sams Club. $1.99 for the Gillette Gel Ultra Moisturizing shaving cream. For $5.98, I've been using over a month and I obviously have plenty of aspirin left and about half a can of the shaving cream left.

Pros:

Cheap, easy, just great!

Cons:

the aspirin dried out my finger tip!

So i heard about the aspirin mask long ago and was skeptical in trying it because i was afraid it might cause me to break out more. but after reading all the reviews and feedback, i decided to give it a try. it's considerably cheap and easy to put on. i purchased a lightly coated aspirin from rite aid for $1.99 and the neutrogena healthy skin anti-wrinkle cream moisturizer for $15. For my first time, i used 3 aspirin with 2 squirts of honey and left it on my face for 10 mins. after i washed it off, my skin felt smoother and brighter. then i applied an alcohol-free toner and moisturizer. My second time was the biggest difference i've seen. i used 4 aspirin and 2 squirts of honey and while washing it off, i took advantage of the aspirin and scrubbed VERY gently. and let me say, the scrubbing effect made a HUGE difference. my skin felt clearer, smoother (like baby skin!!!) and my pores were less visible! Very happy with the outcome. Going to use the aspirin mask 3 times a week!
