Aspirin Mask

i used to have moderate acne on my forehead and chin also blackheads on my nose. once i started using the aspirin mask my face was a lot smoother softer. My face hardly ever broke out and the redness went away. It can be messy sometimes and if i use it too often it dries out my skin (but thats what noncomedogenic moistureizers are for). i love it.

I can't believe this actually works, but it does. The only other treatment I have experienced which is this effective is Accutane, (which I took for months, had bad side effects, and was expensive).I was about to try laser treatment, but thankfully no longer have to! My skin is clean and clear, and after having suffered from acne for 17 years I am so grateful! I use 4 asprin with a drop of water, and a tsp of pure aloe vera gel. Mix and apply to clean, dry skin for 10-30 mins. I used this everyday for 2 weeks, and once my skin was clear (even the red marks had gone!), I now use the mask 3 times a week. Here's what you do. I have super sensitive skin and this is my routine. Get a water bottle screw on lid (very small regular one) Put 1 asprin in the lid and fill with tap water - luke warm. Wash your face with warm water and stir asprin+water in the lid with a popsicle stick. Dump contents of asprin+water from water bottle lid into your hand and rub all over face. Use extra mix to apply directly to problem areas. Let sit for 20 minutes...if its really bad acne let it dry and go to bed with it on your face. Good luck : )

I've had acne for about 7 years and have always had bad reactions to prescriptions (except for topical antibiotics, but those quit working after a while), always have combination-to-dry skin, and never do well with over-the-counter treatments (benzoyl peroxide makes my skin red, flaky, itchy... eek!). I'm beginning to think I'm actually allergic to some of the main ingredients in skin care products... So, I'm trying the aspirin mask (2 uncoated aspirin, just a drop of water, and a dollop of honey) and have been really pleased so far. Note: Adding honey is important - it has antiseptic properties and attracts moisture to your skin. Also, use a very gentle cleanser before hand (cetaphil works well) as the mask could feel harsh on treated skin! Finally, I like to dab on a mix of 1 tbs brewed thyme:1c.water w/ 10 drops tea tree oil for its soothing and antibac/antiseptic etc. effects, and end with a very simple, gentle noncomedogenic moisturizer.

I had a few monster zits on my face and I needed them gone ASAP and I tried everything out there but nothing really worked. I heard about this so I went out and bought some aspirin and made the mask as a spot treatement, and just from last night to today 2 of the 4 zits are completely gone, and the other two are so faded you can barely see them. This is the greatest thing I've even come across, and I've tried it ALL, trust me. I'm going to experiment with adding honey to this mask too, because I spot treat with honey at night and I've heard rave reviews about it.

k, so some people are either confused or just havent heard about this.. but instead of crushing the aspirin, just place the tablet in a little bit of water, depending on he size of the tablet. that way there's no fuss about having to crush them or clean up afterwards. the results are the same but its wwwwwaaaayyyy easyer!!!

3-4 times a week, I put 8-10 cheap aspirin pills + a few drops of water in a small cup when I get in the shower. Rinse/wash my face, use the dissolved aspirin as a really coarse scrub. If I have time, I leave it on while I finish my shower. Rinse and go. (make sure you rinse, well, you don't want to be wandering around all day with little white flakes stuck in your hair and on your skin.) Using it this way exfoliates the heck out of my skin, helping to prevent blockages and reduces the appearance of my blackheads.

i used this for about a month then i stopped useing it to see if i could see a differance and my face broke out then i started useing it again and my face is 98% clear!!!!

I am using aspro-clear....it is a soluble drinkable form of bayer aspirin. i think maybe you can only get it here. i have never seen it in the states. I dampened my face with a bit of water and put the tablet on top of each blemish. it fizzed right away and i just let it dry. but my huge mountain of a pimple that had it's own postal code has really gone down in less then a minute.

Since there is no "cure" yet, there are obviously no miracles, but this made SUCH a difference in my skin. I didn't notice any change right away - that took about a week and I really only do it twice a week, but my skin is very soft and clear right now and it hadn't been for several months. I feel like it may fade previous red acne spots as well. I had one of those deep, long-lasting zits for about two months and this finally got rid of it.
