Great For Swelling
If you have cystic acne this is a great treatment as it helps to ease swollen or irritated skin. It also helps with other forms of acne, it just seems to do the most good with cystic acne. It's great if you're travelling and don't have access to other facial treatments as it's simple and easy to whip up. By the way if you don't have any aspirin I found that ibuprofen works too. For my aspirin mask I take 1-2 aspirin and dissolve them in some lemon juice then mix in a bit of tea trea oil. I apply it to my face with a cotton pad and then leave it for as long as possible (if I'm short for time 20 minutes will be sufficient). It isn't the strongest treatment in the world but it's effective enough and I like that it's all natural.

Great, but don't use too much.
I really do like this mask. It's not a miracle, but it works. However, it can be very drying to skin. I put it on after my shower and throw in some raw honey. I notice that after letting it sit for about 15-30 minutes & then rinsing it off that my skin looks better and the size of any bumps on my face are largely reduced. I follow up with a moisturizer. I have VERY sensitive skin and this didn't irritate my skin at all but I have noticed that without the honey it really dries out my face. Also, overuse can be bad because it will eventually stop working.

Spot treatment
I don't often use the aspirin as a whole face mask, but rather as a spot treatment. Shrinks spots and kills the redness like a charm. Very drying of course, so I use this method sparingly' but it's cheap and effective!

give it a try!
I was a bit skeptical of trying an acne mask but I finally decided to try it after nothing else seemed to work. Immediately, my skin was less red and felt much smoother. It occasionally helps to decrease the size of existing cysts. I use some aspirin tablets (5-7 for entire face), some water and a tsp of raw organic honey. I've been using the mask about two times a week for 3 weeks now. It's cheap and harmless!

Pros:

Inexpensive, works well, results are visible quickly...one of the most effective "treatments" I've ever tried

Cons:

makes your skin feel a little dry/tight, not quite sure how often it is safe to use (seems to be mixed opinions regarding this online)

I have mild to moderate acne, depending on the time of the month, and my breakouts are always on my chin. Some of them are those bigger, cystic pimples that take a couple of days to come to the surface. My skin is easily irritated, and acne treatment products usually just make it flaky, dry, and gross. I tried the aspirin mask after reading tons of rave reviews on here and on MUA and had to give it a try. I have not yet used it as a full facial mask, as most of my skin is clear...I've just been using it as a spot treatment on my chin breakouts. I don't mix the aspirin with anything other than water and just dab a little bit on each pimple. I leave it on for about 10 to 15 minutes. Upon wiping and rinsing off, the pimples are usually much less red/inflamed looking, and by the next day, they are significantly smaller. If I catch a pimple when it's first forming, the aspirin mask will make it go away overnight and never fully form, which is awesome!!!

Miracle worker. Wish I knew about this 20 yrs ago
I'll have to try the honey part. I've used plain crushed asprins & water for spot treatments. Works wonders. Redness & swelling disappears like magic. Aspirin has sylic acid in it, not sure if the other otc pain relives do.

no real results..

Pros:

inexpensive

Cons:

no results
inflammation
more acne surrounding application

I read in some beauty magazine try make an Aspirin and water paste, use as a spot treatment.. I was convinced of the logic of the salycic acid in it, it should work.. after about a year of applying on spots, I saw no results and actually more clogging and inflammation.. However, I have found I am one of those skin types chemicals an salycic acids cause almost like an allergic acne to occur.. best results with baking soda spot treatment

.....
Honestly I tried it once, and it did nothing. I am not sure if you have to do it everyday, but I read somewhere that if you do it for a day, you should see the effects by the next day, which is probably not true, but still .Idk! Give it a try!

I would recommend uncoated Aspirin. It's easier to break up and mix. Most brands of uncoated Aspirin don't have any other ingredients, so you should be fine. Here's an example from Amazon: [link removed]

Well they removed my link, so I would search Geri-Care bottled aspirin on Amazon. Hope that helps!

It's better if u don't use Ecosprin instead use Disprin bcoz Disprin and Aspirin both contain the same chemical composition. Google and see for urself. I've tried it. It's awesome!!!
