Pros:

Works amazingly well for me.

Cons:

I haven't found any.

I have had acne for about 12 years. For a few years it was totally under control with a combination of eurythromicyn, benzoyl peroxide and retin-a. That stopped working as my skin got more sensitive after adolescence. I have been searching and searching for something else that works. I started using organic apple cider vinegar about a month and a half ago and I am so pleased. I just stopped getting inflammatory acne within days and all my clogged pores and blackheads are slowly clearing. I don't mind the flavor so I just drinka shot of the stuff in the morning and at night as well as rub some on my skin with a cotton pad. I don't wash with soap, just rinse. Works better tan anything else I have tried: murad, proactive, retin-a, b5....

Pros:

less breakouts
clearer skin
easier than a lot of other acne regimes

Cons:

tastes bad
not good for teeth enamel

I recently stopped using Braggs Apple Cider vinegar because I got sick and had a sore throat and I wasn't sure whether taking this consistently for about two months was the cause of it. After I got better I started to take it again because I was really pleased with the results I was getting before I had stopped. I would take two teaspoons diluted in a tiny bit of water every morning and night and wash it down with a large glass of plain water. I noticed that my acne significantly decreased. I can recall that I stopped spending excessive amounts of time researching how to cure acne so that must mean that it was much more controllable than it had been prior to my taking it. I did not, however, stop breaking out completely. I would still get one or two pimples weekly but I would take that over 2-3 every single day anytime. However, after I recovered from my throat issues and started taking it again. I got sick again and had another sore throat. I've just recovered from that and I found myself on-line once again trying to find some remedy to help me with the crazy breakout I'm dealing with. I feel like the fact that I stopped taking it is a major reason why my face is behaving this way. I'm not sure if I can relate the two... maybe I just got the flu twice in a row due to bad luck and it has nothing to do with the ACV, I just thought I'd be honest and let everyone know my own personal experience. Anyway, I just took a look in the mirror today and said eh you know what, forget the risk... I can't deal with my skin looking like this and took my regular dose of ACV. This is the first review I've ever written. For anyone thinking of trying this, give it a go... it's cheap and it's been pretty effective for me.

Pros:

Smoother complection, Less redness, Energy booster, Weight loss

Cons:

Smell, Taste isn't so great

I've been using this for about 2 weeks. I first started off with the regular Heinz version which I didn't notice a huge difference. When I finally found the Organic version here in Germany I noticed feeling more energetic, my skin tone looks more glowy. I haven't noticed a huge difference in it's preventing pimples but I will say that this is kind of a laxative...So be prepared for that effect :) Overall I say try it...You have nothing to lose at this point right?? You will get over the taste after a couple times. Make sure you drink this with water please!!! Not strait out of the bottle...I think you'll be sorry if you do it that way. So will your stomach :)

Pros:

- helps with scaring
- gives energy (sort of like coffee?!)
- lessens severity of acne
- stops cystic acne from forming

Cons:

- awful taste...
- not a pleasant smell
- queezy feeling if you drink it too fast

I have been drinking ACV for two weeks, drinking 2tbs three times a day (in total 6tbs/day, diluted in water). I have moderate acne (5 pimples at a time, during my time of the month), and mostly hormonal-caused. I unfortunately have the bad habit of picking at my acne, therefore causing scaring. Also the pimples I get along my jaw line tend to be cystic, also leaving scars. ACV has significantly helped with scaring and I notice a significant decrease in the severity of my acne.

Would Have Been 5 Stars!
I began using ACV as a toner, diluted 1:1 with water a while back, and my acne begun to improve. I then read that you could drink a couple of tablespoons a day in water so I started to do that too, since it had worked so well topically. And my acne began to clear up further until my skin was completely clear! I was thrilled. I continued to use ACV as a toner and a drink for around 5-6 months. Then following a slight change in my routine (I switched cleansers) my acne began to come back. I thought it was just an allergic reaction to the new cleanser but the acne persisted when I stopped using the new cleanser. A few months on and my acne is back in full force. I am still at a loss as to what it was that really caused my acne to decide to come back, but for whatever reason ACV stopped working. I lost hope and quit using it. However, despite this setback, I started using Duac 5% Benzoyl Peroxide treatment about 3 weeks ago and my acne has started to improve, and I have slowly begun to reintroduce drinking AVC and using it topically, because regardless of my acne, it makes my skin feel balanced and more comfortable and drinking it gives me a real energy boost and helped me with some other health issues I was suffering in relation to my digestion. So PLEASE give Apple Cider Vinegar a try and if you find a routine that works for you, don't go changing your cleanser just because someone online tells you to! What works for someone else may not work for you!

Pros:

clears acne
improves overall tone and texture of skin
weightloss
body detoxifier

Cons:

taste & smell

I read a lot of these reviews already and like myself, so many people complain about the taste and smell. I found a way to take it so that you dont really taste it all. Mix it in with apple juice! I swear you dont taste it all, but you do notice an increase in acidity of the apple juice so make sure you buy the low-acid kind so its not too bad, and make sure you drink through a straw so it doesnt hurt your teeth. To make it quicker sometimes, I just use a shotglass - fill a half with ACV and the rest with apple juice. Hope that helps get rid of some peoples cons. Also, I use ACV directly on my skin as well. Like a 75% ACV, 25% water mixture - works wonders.

Pros:

It works, to a point. For the first two weeks or so after I started drinking this stuff twice a day I really did stop getting break outs. Problem is just when all of my old ones were finally clearing up...new acne appeared and refuses to go away.

Cons:

It smells REALLY bad, and I could barely get it down the first time I tried it in water. I ended up mixing it in various juices to drown out the taste, which works fairly well.

I say try it, even if it doesn't clear everything up for you it's supposed to be quite beneficial to your overall health, and it IS clearing up old redness for me, even if it's failing to prevent new breakouts entirely.

Pros:

It has definitely helped my skin look both more clear and more even.

Cons:

The taste, smell, and general association. Lets be honest with ourselves, we're drinking vinegar. Also, it feels sort of weirdly acidic in my stomach for a few minutes, plus that awful shivery tingle when taking a big drink.

Firstly, it's awful. I'm not going to lie, it's just terrible at first. I'm going to assume I'll get used to it as I use it for longer than a bit more than a week, but it's not apple juice sweetheart. I make a cup of chamomile tea (all my other teas are some variation of black, and chamomile seems to match best) and dump a bit of organic acv from Trader Joe's in, maybe two or three tbs. I let it get coldish, maybe an hour, just enough so I can chug it. So I have a cup of water next to my tea, chug maybe a third of it while plugging my nose, then be sure to have your water as soon as you can, and seriously, don't unplug your nose until water is in your mouth! Acv in just water's okay too, but I think the tea reduces the gag at the end a bit. I do it twice a day, and I'm going to have to say it is worth it, because really it's like a minute of pain. I also use it as a toner, and my skin is looking much nicer and healthier than usual. So, I'm a begrudging fan.

Pros:

>Definently stops production of acne caused by oil production and diet. Probably hormonial too.
>Only takes about a week to see results. Sometimes less!
>If taken day and night (2 tsps for me) will prevent breakouts

Cons:

>taste (something to get used to)
>smell

Probably the best acne treatment ever!! I've suffered for 4 years and i've tried alot of bullsh*t products out there and this has by far worked the best. Its hella lot cheaper too! When you drink it tho, I would recommend pouring the ACV in the back of your mouth (avoid teeth) and immediatly wash it down with some water or better yet juice or green tea. You could even try it with pop if you want cause it wont affect the ACV. I don't know about dairy though. O yea! Also the brand I use is Braggs raw, unfiltered, organic, etc. It says it has the "mother" in it. ONLY BUY THE ORGANIC ACV!!! I've heard drinking the non-organic can actually make acne worse!!! Probably all the chemicals and sh*t they put in those... I say... GO BUY SOME BRAGGS OR WHATEVER RIGHT NOW AND START DRINKING IT TONIGHT (you can add it right into your current regimen) YOU MAY SEE SOME RESULTS TOMORROW MORNING!!!!
