Pros:

calming to the skin and a very well made aloe vera gel

Cons:

not that great as a moisturizer since it doesn't have a lasting quality. 10-15 mins after applying, my skin felt dry... not chapped or flaky, just dry and not moisturized.

good for calming the skin from irritation (sun burn, benzoyl peroxide, shaving, etc) but doesn't keep skin moisturized.

Pros:

Heals skin fast! Soothing, and nice natural smell. Fades scars and redness. Anti-aging.
Lovely cooling effect on the skin - feels like expensive aftersun.
Cheap in price considering this is the main ingredient of many premium skincare moisturis

Cons:

Can feel a little tight if over-applied.
Don't apply then walk straight out into cold weather! Freezing (but I suppose it prob closes the pores well)!
Flakes under foundation if over-applied.

Well I don't know about Fruit of the Earth, but I'm using Holland & Barratt organic Aloe Vera Gel & it's wonderful. (Holland & Barratt is a health food store in the UK but it's also online). I tried this a few years back & it didn't seem to work but looking back I was using other products I was highly allergic to, so no wonder I broke out. I tried it again after seeing it in the sale ( £2.99 for a 200ml tube) on my local high street. I'd also just desperately sought advice at the beauty counters only to realise that this was the main ingredient of their most expensive products. This time round I'm on a gentle cleanse routine (no parabens or bp/sa I'm afraid - my skin can't handle them) - followed by this gel. My skin hasn't looked this clear in years. The redness is completely gone and the scars are fading fast. Amazing stuff. If you're in the US I seriously recommend ordering this online.

Pros:

Helped heal scars, decreased amount of blackheads, makes skin feel softer when when washed off, makes skin look healthier, lessened overall amount of zits, makes skin look less red.

Cons:

Stings eyes if it gets in of near them, sticky for the first 5 or so minutes, it doesn't soak into skin very well

My friend told me that aloe helped improve her skin, so i tried it. It doesn't completely treat acne but it definately helps make my skin look better. I recently went on vacation and stopped using it for a couple of days and within a few days of stopping, i had a lot of blackheads that i hadn't had while using aloe. I feel a lot more confident after using aloe on my skin (in combination with topical salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide) and seeing the results. My skin is a lot smoother now. I get less blackheads, which means i have less temptation to pop zits (because there are less of them) and therefore i have less red spots on my face. Aloe also heals my skin really fast if i happen to give into the temptation of sqeezing zits. It helps heal old acne scars too. My skin looks a lot healthier and pretty now. So, it may not totally treat acne but it does improve the general quality and apperance of skin.

Pros:

all

Cons:

none

this works as an aftershave, a cooling gel and moisturizer. i'm convinced it prevents wrinkles, heals and moisturizes like no other natural product.

Pros:

Can be used for acne, irritated skin, sun burn, insect bites and many more.

Cons:

None till now

I saw many people found that it caused them to break out more, and that is because you are supposed to wash it after about 15-30 minutes it's best if you put it on half an hour before you take a shower.

Pros:

Very soothing, good for skin irritations, sunburns, dry skin, even works great as an "intimate lubricant".

Cons:

Some people have said it makes their face break out, but I have never personally experienced this.

I have used it for years for burns, sunburns, dry skin, "intimate lubricant", cuts and insect bites, and I love it!

Pros:

Cools down your face, makes pores smaller, when washed off makes skin softer.

Cons:

A little stingy for the first few minutes while putting it on
Didn't do much

I find it something good to use if you feel that your skin is really irritated because after you put it on it just soothes it. If it doesn't work on your face, you can always use it over burns or if you're irritated from being waxed.

Pros:

cheap, helps heal acne scabs or popped zits

Cons:

contains known cancer causing chemicals and skin irritants, does not prevent new acne, can actually cause minor breakouts

This product works to some extent. Personally, this gel helped to quickly heal popped blemishes, however it caused other blemishes to appear. If used solely on the spot itself, it can help reduce redness, but when I used it all over my face, I noticed an increase in acne that stopped once I stopped using it all over. I'm also not fond of the ingredients. If you google the other ingredients, you'll find that they can be EXTREMELY hazardous - they can cause tumors and skin irritation. Even if this product proves successful for some people, it is still dangerous. I feel that if you use a product that is more natural, like aloe vera straight from the plant or an organic product, like Lily of the Desert, it's a lot less likely to cause skin problems or the minor breakouts that may be associated with Fruit of the Earth.

Pros:

It is cheap.

Cons:

It made my face soooooo much worse.

I had been using an aloe plant for a more natural approach to clearing my face, and it worked wonders. My face was absolutely clear. I purchased this particular product because I figured it would provide the same results in a more convenient way than the plant. I can't figure out if I'm allergic to something in this gel or what, but I broke out in zits and itchy bumps all over my face. I looked scary! This product is 100% GEL, not 100% ALOE. Keep that in mind because there are lots of other ingredients in this product.

Pros:

Helps heal scabs- fades red spots - no smell - moisterizes

Cons:

caused more acne - sticky

I used this for1 montth and although it fades acne red spots (mine are pretty light) it seemed to cause more flare ups. I was wondering what was going on and when I stopped using it for a week my skin improved. It does wonders on scabs! Speeds heling process up BIG tim. I am not going to adivse people not to get the product because it's worth a shot. It could work and it may not work - depends on your skin type I suppose. If you start breaking out after application though, exercise caution. What I did was use it on one side of my face and not the other to see if was causing breakouts. Give it a shot!
