Pros:

smooths complexion, lightens hyperpigmentation, absorbs nicely

Cons:

smells stank, order off line, leaves skin kinda oily looking for first two weeks.

First off, I"m brown skin and i needed somethin to even out my skin tone. I been using this product for about 3 and 1/2 weeks and my skin is lighter and smoother. Dans BP left my skin so dry with no glow but this helped a lot. The first two weeks i didnt like this stuff because my skin looked oily and it stung (only after putting on after BP, works better alone). But after the 3rd week i was amazed and my face was lighter and no longer felt oily. The trick is i never put it on after BP. I put it on in the morning after washing with Olay for Sensitive Skin (Best cleanser!), apply AHA then moisturize with Eucerin face lotion with Jojoba and I'm done. Sometimes ill leave it on for about 45mins then rub ice all over my face and blot the wetness with a paper towel (the AHA has already absorbed in the skin by now so its ok) and this makes my skin look the best.

Pros:

Not as harsh or stingy as the Alpha Hydrox version can feel

Cons:

Very liquidy and dribbly
Expensive compared to Alpha Hydrox version
Absorbs poorly when combined with benzyl peroxide

I love the Acne.org benzyl peroxide but am unimpressed with the AHA+. The performance seems equal to the Alpha Hydrox version, but this has much poorer consistency and is harder to use. It is very liquidy which makes the tube hard to use and means you dribble expensive product on the sink. It doesn't absorb into the skin well. When I use it in combination with the BP, it pills and lumps on my face, and I have lumps of yellow goo all over (bleah!). The Alpha Hydrox Enhanced Lotion is a better buy and easier to use.

Pros:

Moisturizes well, keeps skin clear

Cons:

has a funky smell

This is an exceptional product. This is the best AHA product I have tried so far. It keeps my combo skin moisturized, helps keep my skin clear, and helps to lighten my acne scars. Thanks Dan!

Pros:

The first spot treatment I've ever used that actually works. On stubborn spots it often takes a few applications but seems to clear up almost all spots for me - miraculous. Skin glows and is smooth when used as moisturizer too

Cons:

Can sting a bit, cause some irritation but ONLY if u use too much/apply it to often. Others might take issue with the smell but i happen to like it.

A really great product - having tried so so so many spot treatments I can't belive how well this works -if you put it on a spot early the post doesn't appear. It Sometimes clumps fi you put a lot on (is that my skin or the product!?) but the benefits far outweigh this. The first few times I put it on at night I couldn't believe my skin in the morning - I actually looked younger! - this of course is only temporary but is still quite amazing! - go get yourself some. I'd say this WAS essential. Don't worry about the jojoba oil - get this instead: STOPS FLAKINESS/STOPS SPOTS FORMING/IMPROVES SKIN TONE!

Pros:

- GREAT STUFF for after BP Moisturizer, Spot, & body treatment
- Worth the $$
- VERY Effective, Powerful, and CONSISTENT

Cons:

Stings a little, especially if used as a moisturizer, but it gets better with time and consistent applications.

Benzoyl Peroxide is more of a "maintenance" drug for acne. it CAN clear up mild or light stuff, but it's really best just for keeping new acne from forming. but if acne is winning the battle for ground over your face, this is what you need to use. this AHA+ is the heavy artillery. i use it as a after BP moisturizer at night and a spot treatment in the morning. i believe i owe about 80% of my progress in kicking acne's a$$ to AHA+

Pros:

This product is great for treating acne and evening out skin tone and texture. And it's affordable! It's definitely my secret weapon against acne!!!

Cons:

Only available online...but it's really no big deal to me. It arrives very fast anyway.

You must try this! I was using Mama Lotion for six months and I saw no big results, which was very disappointing because of all the positive reviews. So I decided to give this a try. And I'm glad I did! Glycolic acid is so much more effective. Yes, it may sting at first, but just be patient and eventually your skin will get used to it. And make sure to wear a sunscreen during the day. I use SPF 30. My cheeks get a little red, but makeup covers it up.

Pros:

great consistency, very effective, gentle

Cons:

none

I've used this product with or without BP, and I feel that it works great either way! Despite the high % of glycolic acid, I didn't ever feel a burning sensation, but I know it works because it left my skin soft, smooth, more even toned, my acne marks faded in like 2 weeks, and my pores are smaller! I had some initial purging at first, but after that it's all good. I now use this by itself without BP and I haven't had any problems. I did have a little balling up, when I applied a lot, but I only apply this at night so it doesn't matter to me. The addition of the lichochalcone is great because I feel like it really did help calm down redness. I don't mind the smell, and I love the huge economical size of this product. I use it on my elbows and knees as well to smooth out rough patches. Overall great product!

Pros:

Smells good, goes on clear and smooth. Fades my red marks faster than with nothing. Great value also!

Cons:

Makes you susceptible to sunburn. SPF up!

I would recommend this product once you have gotten your acne under control, and are searching for a light scar/red mark remedy. Try it out, you wont be dissapointed

Pros:

Nice consistency, you don't need a lot. Also can replace moisturizer.

Cons:

I have very oily skin and was told that this balances out the skin. All it did was make me wake up to an overly shiny face. It didn't seem to help my acne or balance my shine at all.

From my experience, I don't recommend this product for people with already very oily skin.
