can i use AHA in <1mon of using the regimen?
I have seen tremendous results just from using the regimen for 10 days and I feel that my skin has adjusted to the BP. I have acne scars at the moment, but Can incorporate AHA into my routine already even if it hasn't been a month yet? I just got my shipment in so I'm kinda wanting to try it!

i think it really depends on your skin type, trying easing it into your routine

It depends if you have sensitive skin. I don't have sensitive skin and I use it everyday mixed half and half with a vitamin c moisturizer I use at night. It barely tingles but leaves my skin glowy and smooth but I haven't used it long enough to see a difference in my hyper pigmentation but I have high hopes of it!!

Smooth and glowing
My acne prone skin is normally pretty sensitive. Naturally with the ingredient glycolic ACID I was a little hesitant about trying it out. I'm so happy I did. Although I still have moderate acne, my skin that's not affected by the acne is incredibly smooth and glowing. A lot of reviews on here mention that the product burns, but I've noticed that my skin only burned while using this with the acne.org regimen. While on the regimen my skin was EXTREMELY dry and irritated so I definitely felt the AHA when applied after the BP. At night I currently use a Neutrogena cleanser and then mix in the AHA with a Neutrogena moisturizer and it doesn't burn AT ALL. Regardless I think it's worth adding into your current skin care routine, I saw results after one use :)

Question for the community
I am not using the acne regimen recommended on this site, but my own regimen (Dudu Osun African black soap and moisturizer (Eucerin)). My acne is so far contained, just for a few spots here and there. My question is therefore, could I use still use the AHA+ on its own, in order to get rid of the acne scars? I have large pores around my cheek area and pigmentation. Can I use the AHA+ without using the acne.org regimen? Thank you very much for any suggestions =)

Hello Grand! I think there's no indication to use AHA+ ONLY with The Regimen. The AHA+ lotion itself is already another treatment apart (for scars and hyperpigmentation) from The Regimen, but can also go in the place of the standard mosturizer that comes with the kit. Although I think it works best with the other products of the brand, I think you could give it a try! Good luck. See ya.

Great, but do NOT overuse!
So I have normal, non-sensitive skin. I've used this product six consecutive days in a row without mixing with other moisturizer, thinking that I would be okay. I only used an amount the size of a pea daily and spot-treated on parts where I had acne. I felt my skin texture becoming quite smooth and tiny bumps on my forehead clearing up (that did not disappear completely with just BP) by the fourth day. However, by the sixth day, my face burned and felt irritated. I've stopped using it again temporarily as I want my weakened skin to recover. At least I know for sure it definitely does its job of exfoliating. It was stupid of me to be greedy and overuse. Also, do not put on too much at once either, because that may also cause your skin to burn and sting. Overall, good exfoliator and surprisingly, it was actually moisturizing as well. I just really want to stop anyone from overusing. It is highly likely that this on its own won't heal acne itself, but I think it's worth a shot.

AWESOMENESS!
With each use, my skin becomes smoother and smoother. I've dealt with hyper-pigmentation most of my life, as I'm one of the lucky ones. But now that my skin is acne-free from the benzoyl peroxide, my scars are now also starting to fade. Also, my clogged pores are pretty much gone. Bottom line: Give it a go!

Pretty bad

Pros:

Makes skin really soft
Opens Clogged Pores

Cons:

Irritating enough to cause breakouts
Burns and itches a lot

I ordered this because of all the amazing reviews and when it came I was pretty excited. My dry skin and flakes have been bad since I started the Regimen about three months ago, so I thought this would help. I diluted with my regular moisturizer, applied only at night, and made sure to wear sunscreen during the day. While this did help the flakes come off easier, it also took my skin from almost clear to horrifying. After only three days I have tons of new zits and the burning after application keeps me up at night. Part of me wants to believe this is purging, but if it isn't I'll feel like an idiot for continuing to use a product that's wrecking my skin like Miley Cyrus. On the forums they say that all these good reviews mean nothing and even if this does work it is no "Miracle Product" as so many people claim, which makes me reluctant to believe things will turn around. I might pick this up again during winter break (after Christmas pictures) but for now I'm convinced it would be less irritating to exfoliate by clawing at my face with grimy fingernails. If you do want to try this, please be cautious and only apply a little at first. If your skin isn't completely clear already it might not be for you. I forgot to mention that some of my clogged pores seemed to open up with this so that i could grab the tip of the plug with tweezers and very slowly pull it out of my skin. I like to think this whole ordeal was worth it just for that gross but extremely gratifying experience.

This product has been a miracle

Pros:

Makes your skin smooth
Can stop pimples pretty well (or make them surface quickly)
Exfoliates your face

Cons:

Makes your skin sensitive to the sun (use a sunscreen)
A little expensive
Can sting for a little while after applying it

Dan's AHA+ has made my skin better and better. At first, I was very skeptical in purchasing this to use alongside Dan's regimen. I finally bought some when I ordered my next kit, and boy, that was the best decision I had ever made. I use AHA+ daily and it makes my skin super smooth-looking and flake free. Yes, it burns. Yes, it's a little expensive. Most importantly, YES, it works! This, alongside Dan's regimen, packs a powerful punch that will help your skin clear up that much faster. Feel like you're about to get a pimple? Gently rub some AHA+ on the area and it'll surface by morning or even disappear completely (well, almost). I don't think BP can do what this does! With gentle exfoliation (psst....baking soda), this product will soon be your best friend.

Pros:

exfoliates deeply without being harsh on the skin
leaves skin smooth and moisturized
helps fade acne scars and evens out skin tone
leaves a lovely healthy glow
results can be seen within a couple of days

Cons:

can sting a tiny bit if too much is applied on the skin
apparently makes the skin more sensitive towards sunlight

AHA+ saved my life!! My skin is pretty clear except that i was getting small cystic like bumps on my T zone a few months ago. I was freaking out and panicking about what to do. Then one day i stumbled across a tube a AHA+ that i had purchased a long time ago but for some reason never actually tried out. I covered my whole face with a thin layer of this product and let it work its magic over night and when i woke up in the morning my face felt smoother and the bumps had visibly reduced in size. Now iv been religiously using it for the last month and absolutely LOVE it. I'm not sure if my face has become anymore sensitive to sunlight seeing as its winter at the moment and im mostly inside, but once summer comes around ill write another review letting you guys know if iv experienced any sunlight sensitivity.

Pros:

Improves skin texture, reduces red marks, lightweight, no terrible scent, works great as a spot treatment. I've noticed a drastic improvement in the tone and texture of my skin.

Cons:

My skin looks a little flushed immediately after applying. I don't mind this as it's really just the nature of an AHA+ product.

I love this product. I use this every night after applying Dan's benzoyl peroxide. I found Alpha Hydrox AHA Enhanced Lotion to be extremely irritating and horrible on my skin; Dan's AHA+ is far superior and non-irritating for my skin. I really love it.

Pros:

Reduces red post-acne marks
Calms skin
Reduces scarring
Evens out skin tone
Cheap
Calms irritated/inflamed skin

Cons:

Stings a bit
Thick and sticky if you use too much

This stuff is great. I've noticed a big improvement in my skin since I started using it. I use it every night instead of a moisturizer. It doesn't make pimples disappear overnight, but I find that if I start applying it regularly on those deep, painful pimples as soon as they start to form, then they'll gradually disappear over a week and never get too red or large. Basically, they don't get too noticeable and they don't get to the point when I get self-conscious about them. That's pretty good! I've had a lot of problems with post-acne red marks on my skin and the AHA really evened out my skin tone and reduced my scarring. The only downside is that it's a bit too thick and sticky to wear under makeup. If you're using it with any other skin products, it'll have to be the last thing that you put on. It stings a bit sometimes, but I have very sensitive, fair skin and I haven't had any irritation. I use it all over my face, even on areas that don't break out (like my cheeks) and I have had comments from people that I look less tired, and healthier. Overall, it's a fantastic product. Thank you so much, Dan!!
