Pros:

-Micro beads in cleanser smooth/soften skin
-Sulfur mask works amazing on cysts)
-Minimized the appearance of my pores

Cons:

-None YET

I'm 16 years old,I have been suffering from acne since I was 8/9 years old(I developed early). My acne type is blackheads, cysts and occasional whiteheads.I've tried almost every acne products you can think of.Clean & Clear,Clearasil,Neutrogena,Oxy,AcneFree etc,and while yes they are good brands, they just did not work for me.I told myself,I'm not falling for the ProActiv commercials cause I had a sister who used it and it made her skin worse. But we got a $5.99 deal in the mail and my mom ordered it.I have been using it for only two days.I do naturally have oily skin so that may be an advantage to using this product.Of course it does take 6-8 weeks for any skincare product to work,I just felt it was necessary to do this. The cleanser works well, the little micro beads exfoliate skin well,it's great for if you have blackheads or large pores. The toner is just there, but it does add that extra "umph" to the skincare routine and picks up extra dirt/oil.The Treatment is good.Simple.The Sulfur mask works wonders.Amazing.The green tea mask is good for dry skin/areas. At this point I can not say whether or not I would recommend it,but I will be sure to update.

10 weeks and my face got worse
Skin type: normal/oily I used Proactiv for 10 weeks and my face got progressively worse with more redness and breakouts. It worked for my sister and best friend though hence why I cant give it less than a three; it just doesn't work for everyone.

Pros:

Clears marks over time
Skin noticeably clear after 3 weeks

Cons:

Bleached my skin to the max, i had a white face, i'm black.
Expensive
Customer Service is ridiculous
Doesn't get rid of all pimples.

Once you start using it there's no going back, you have to be persistant and once you stop using, expect your skin to get 10 times as bad as before. Bleaches skin, and does a bad job of getting rid of pimples.

Pros:

Works if you keep up routine.

Cons:

Pricey.
Recommended amounts to use are inaccurate.
Horrible customer service.

If only their customer service worked as well as their product. After numerous order screw ups, and being 3 months without any product because of it, then my account being made inactive for no reason or contacted regarding it, i finally just got some off ebay.. For a cheaper price. It worked well for me, but you really have to use more than they recommend to see any results. Had some irritation when first using it but gave it a chance and continued using, it subsided. The oily feel/look people describe i found is the 'repairing lotion'. You have to really give it a good rub in or it will leave your skin oily feeling/looking. Overall, source it outside the company for a more hassle free experience.

Pros:

convincing..

Cons:

it doesn't really help clear up my skin if I dont use it my face gets worse, but if I use it my face stays the same It doesn't improve either way.

It depends many people I know who have used proactive say that it doen't work once so ever, but others say it is amazing.

Pros:

It smelled good,,

Cons:

The toner burned my skin like crazy! It didn't clear up my skin at all. If anything it made it worse.

It didn't work like I thought it would, like all the commercials said it would. I wasn't satisfied with it at all. I am sending it back for a refund because it was a waste of my money.

Pros:

it seems to refine at the beginning. I felt like my face was sooo clean.

Cons:

It doesnt last long. I have been on it for almost a month and havent really seen a change. I have blackheads and whiteheads that I cannot seem to get ride of. I dont know if i will continue.

Products do not work as well as the people say that it does. I dont think it works any better than over the counter clearasil or nutregena products!

Pros:

Worked well for 5 years on my mild acne. When it stopped working for me proactive refunded all of my money.

Cons:

Didn't help when I developed severe acne and actually made it much worse.

I used proactive since I was 16. Until 21 this product appeared to help keep my mild acne at bay. My skin wasn't perfect 100% of the time, a blemish here and there but nothing too bad. Then 1 week before school started my face exploded. I kept using proactive, thinking that it had to help, it had in the past. But my skin continued to get worse. After washing, my face felt raw and I dreaded the burning that came with applying the toner. My skin began to flake and at one point cracked and bled. That's when I went to a dermatologist. She diagnosed me with severe cystic acne, after my life of pretty clear skin. She gave me moisturizer and a gel that has 5% dapsome as the active ingredient, along with a prescription for antibiotics. Bottom Line: Proactive works well for some and not for others and that can even change for a person from year to year. Proactive is worth a try because of the 60 day money back guarantee. However, I would not recommend it for people with severe acne.

Pros:

Works well for me, it kept the acne away quite nicely.

Cons:

Skin is very dry. The more moisturizer I use, the dryer it gets. My skin is dull, sensitive, and I just look at a light bulb and get freckles. It is also a longer regime before bedtime than I like.Started using twice a day, then once, still dry.

I am switching back to my previous skin care. I had occasional breakouts on it, but the rest of the time, my skin felt and looked great. I have found that you have to find what works for you. Try it, other products, and pick the one that works best for you. This one worked for me as far as losing the acne, but the other effects just aren't worth it.
