Pros:

Drys your PIMPLES up

Cons:

Over dries you face, turns it red..the scrub as well is to harsh!!!

This product dried my skin only to cause me to break out more..I kept using it beacuse it says that it takes time. Used it for 4 1/2 months and It was gross i always had peeling skin around my acne. Did not work at all for me!! To much step system ..creating a over treated face.

Pros:

Great clean feeling.

Cons:

Expensive.
Drying.
The three step system gets tiring.

I used proactive for almost 2 years. It worked well but after about a year the results started waining. Because it is drying, I had to use another lotion on top of the one provided so it became a 4 step system! I believe that it is much more complicated than necessary and unless your acne problems are severe (in which case you should just see a dermotologist) you should try something more simple. Perhaps a clean, gentle facial wash and always a lotion. (I recommend clinique)

Pros:

Pro's? Are you kidding? OK, how about nifty packaging.

Cons:

Does not work, scam business practices, poor customer service, etc, etc, etc.

I was attracted to try Proactiv after hearing the ad on the radio for the free trial... the one where the girl asks "what's the catch" and the other person says, "there is no catch". Let me tell you... There IS a catch, so BUYER BEWARE. When I called, for some unknown reason (and unknown to the call agent as well), the offer was no longer available (despite hearing the same ad the next day), so I signed up for the "Trial Membership" to give it a TRY. After the 30 days, to no surprise, I still had the same level of skin issues (i.e. NO improvement) and had to deal with the aweful smell of benzoil peroxide on my face. Then, to my surprise, I recieved another package of Proactiv. When I called to ask why this was sent, I was told that buried within the long legal statement was a line that told me the "trial" was not a trial but a real membership (although the agent did not say it that way). Now I'm stuck with a 2nd month of this crap. Never again. And I warn

Pros:

Umm skin felt fresh and less bacteria

Cons:

irritated my skin causing massive eruptions EVERYWHERE totally ruined my face for a month thankfully clearlight and microdermabrasion saved me

If you have sensitive skin i would not recommend it or skin which gets irritated easily it will make it worse..Maybe not?? everyones skin is different but made my skin horrible i suggest to everyone to drink 5 cups of caffenine free green tea every day heaps of water resist greasy foods, they jsut arent worth the eomtional pain that comes with it. Have a good diet get 5 servings of fruits and vegies..SMOOTHIES are great ways to do this just add some low fat yogurt.breath in deeply when stressed or angered..be happy and please stay strong cause i know how horrible it feels but with perspiration you will make it through:)..also maybe try yoga...and also try seeing a docter first of all to get hormones checked. i HIGHLY RECOMMEND MICORDERMABRSION COMBINDE WITH CLEARLIGHT..Even if you have exsiting acne, microdermabrasion will suck out impurities while removing dead skill cells and skin wont be irritated cause the CLEARLGIHT treatment will kill existing acne bacteria:)

Pros:

There were alot of comercial advertizment that prompt you to buy the product. If you miss a comericail and didnt get the phone # it will be on within the hour you can get it then.

Cons:

It did not work. My doctor told me ther was no reason for this product to be a miracle.

I was mostly upset to learn that my trial was a monthy shippment that no one mentioned. And the free trial vitamins would keep comeing also again without being reorederd. Oh and the best part when returned they did not have to credit my credit card in full. There withheld shipping charges on merchandize I NEVER agreed to keep recieving month after month. So if you want to tey this product they will put you on an automatic program and good luck getting them to stop.

Pros:

It smells nice and thats about it

Cons:

It didnt work for me, if anything it made my skin worse

IF U HAVE MODERATE TO SEVER ACNE AND HAVE TRIED OTHER THINGS WITH SUCCESS BUT ARE NOW IMUNE TO THEM DO NOT USE THIS IT WONT WORK FOR YOU ages 15-20 i have used many different store bought and perscription medication, i started with Cetaphil when i was in 7th grade worked terribly, i switched to Clearsil in 8th grade and used some of their creams, helped a little but not much, i got a perscription for BenzaClin when i was in 8th grade and part of freshman year, worked ok but failed after a while, then i went on to Benzac AC wash and Duac, these cured my problems for about 2 years then i went back to clearsil, helped tremendously then nothing was working so i tried pro-activ, my skin was not doing so well when i started and after 1 week i looked even worse than before, i went back to my derm. i am on Retin-A and an antibiotic of which i dont kno the name, i havent recieved these perscriptions yet but i am hopeful.

Pros:

Seemed to work ok at first

Cons:

Breakouts keep happening and developed a rash

I bought this for my daughter (12) and I think it is too harsh for her skin. Seemed to clear her up but then a couple weeks later another bad breakout so it didn't prevent breakouts. Lately she delevoped a pink, sandpapery rash on her cheeks. I stopped the proactiv. Not recommended for oily but sensitive skin.

Pros:

packaging and the customer service were pretty much the only things I liked about Proactiv.

Cons:

Like many above said, it dried my skin very poorly, and rashes started appearing. I had to immediately stop using it and go back to the previous lotions for a bit.

I was so disappointed with the 3-piece system, and before I knew it, they sent the second kit the next month and charged on my credit card without notification. I called the customer service, and the lady said that she tried the same product, didn't work for her, and so she's trying this "gentle formula system" which is supposed to be much milder to your skin. According to her, it works for acne and doesn't dry out your skin. So I'm going to have a leap of faith and try those and hope that will work for me.

Pros:

it did eliminate the number of pimples.

Cons:

REALLY, REALLY, REALLY dry up my face. can't open my mouth wide otherwise i get a lot of dead skins around my mouth. it gave me DEEP pimples. hurts, scarring.

it works in some degree. it reduces the number of acne but it gives deep acne on the face and hurts really bad.
