i had really severe acne last year and i used proactive religiously and i can honestly say it didnt help at all. please just see a dermatologist if you have severe acne, dont trust the commercials.

Pros:

At first it looks like it works.
Makes your skin soft at first and shrinks pores.

Cons:

Makes your skin TERRIBLY dry.
Skin will start getting itchy, red, and peel

Ok, the first day I used it, it was amazing! It shrank my pores, and my skin was looking great. On about the third day, I started noticing red, itchy dryness on my skin, I thought it might be okay if I just used it less often and used the moisturizer..sadly mistaken. My whole face is all peely and gross. I'm very unhappy and disaapointed with this product. :( This doesn't mean it won't work on your skin, but it definitely did not work on mine..

Pros:

Works on VERY VERY VERY mild acne, well the refining mask does anyway...

Cons:

It kind of worked for a bit because i only had a few pimples on my face. but after a while my skin got so dry and that refining lotion stuff made my skin itch and burn! it ended up with me having much much worse acne! The cleanser, toner and lotion are WAY to harsh and have to many chemicals. Gave me cystic acne. And the refining mask only works on small zits so it didnt do anything for my other acne. Also it's way over priced.

Don't use it. It's a waste of money and all you get is dry skin and worse acne

Pros:

Works for the first week. Refining mask is effective.

Cons:

Proactive dried my skin SO badly after about three weeks- I couldn't wash it or wear makeup at all for days and it contented to flake and peel. I started breaking out much much worse and blemishes were larger and more painful. If I didn't wash my face one morning or fell asleep without washing at night, I would notice response breakouts right away as well. It was also way too expensive given the results and product sizes. Terrible customer service

Proactive was a total waste of time and money. I left it feeling completely frustrated and defeated, and with worse skin than I had had before I started. I was not even back to square one; I was worse off. Overall my experience was awful. Also, they charge your card without notifying you! I had to send the new shipment back and wait six weeks for them to pay me back!!

Expensive/Waste of time

To start off my acne isn't even bad to begin with, but I do break out constantly due to stress. What amazes me is the fact that this product is everywhere! TV walmart, target etc. and it is HORRIBLE. Bottom line is this "life changing revolutionary acne treatment" is a waste of time and money and to be honest Due to my crazy schedule, I have zero time to actually sit down and write a review for a product but I had to do it for this one because THAT'S JUST HOW BAD IT IS.

Absolutely None and Do not let anyone fool you into thinking there are any... prolonged use does not equal success it equals prolonged charges on your account.... if this product worked they would sell it in stores! not through raping your account and card numbers...

Cons:

Did not in anyway help the acne... Cost way too much and continued to charge even after payment was stopped through the bank and the card was canceled. horribly rude and impatient sales folks who are of no help and false promises of money back guarantees that are hidden between lies and loop holes and hidden fees...

DO NOT BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BY THIS COMPANY AND PRODUCT IT DOES NOT WORK

Pros:

Helped at first but stopped working.

Cons:

Always ran out of the moisturizer.
Stained all my clothes, towels, and pillow cases.
Ver pricey.

I dont recommend it to anybody!!! Before proactive my face was not too bad, now I think my face is severly messed up.

Pros:

My skin has built up a tolerance on harsh chemicals

Does not work well
Dyes fabrics - towels, pillow cases

When I first started using Proactiv solution, I was really hopeful like it was going to be a miracle cure. I used it for about 10 years and there was no change in my skin. I should have given up on it sooner, but my mom was paying for it so I didn't care. I recall the first few weeks of using it were torture on my skin with drying and burning. Maybe this product should be for adults and adult acne because I think I was too young to start using such harsh chemicals on my skin at age 10.

Pros:

Well, there is nothing good about this item. My daughter got worse from it.

Everything S U C K S! they need to be reported for charging people over. ordered it once, and a package would be sent every week until i got my bank on the phone. went threw TERRIBLE TROUBLE..AND FOR SOMETHING THAT DIDNT EVEN WORK! THANKS PROACTIV! MONEY STEALERS

REALLY people, dont get it cause it SAYS it works, im gonna be completly honest with you, it takess your money. I've read millions of other reviews of people being robbed from them. think what you want, but i wanna sue them for taking $200.00 out of my bank account. this product doesnt work, and if it doesnt work for you, they arent gonna give you your money back believe me. they just says you keep ordering it, when they do! they take the freakin money outta your account! if you really dont wanna listen to me then buy it off ebay or something that way they cant rob you. this makes my daughters skin red and irritated, and makes it dry out, if you want to know something that works, GET THE NEUTROGENA DRYING LOTION FOR PIMPLES, AND GET THE CLEARASIL 12 HOUR FACE WASH FOR CLEANSER, AND OLAY FOR YOUR LOTION AFTERWARDS.

Pros:

Well, it really works in the first few days(3 to 4 days when i get started).
ANYWAY, IF you do really have an IRON SKIN, PLZ keep using that, i bet u can get rid of your acne SOMEDAY!

Cons:

DRIES OUT OF MY ENTIRE SKIN!!!!!
My eyes area became swelling, red, flaky!!!

Hi u guys!~ i've been using Proactiv for a few weeks. I first used the 1st generation of Proactiv,for about 1 week. which really makes a big different, u can clearly see the acne in my left cheek has improved well. But i quit use it! WHY? it just made my eyes SOOOO TERRIBLE!! when i wake up every morning,i could feel my eyes cannot open up, so swelling and redness all over my face. At first, i think it maybe my own fault, maybe i shouldn't use the proactiv too closed to my eye area. i looked a lot of commercials about Proactiv on Youtube, that makes my heart so firmly to continue to use Proactiv AGAIN! coz i simply want to get rid of acne instantly!! Then i try to use the 2nd generation of Proactiv, well, i can feel there's a little difference between 2 generations~ in 2nd G, the cleaner doesn't have any sand any more, that is a good point. But, i just find my self doesn't fit for Proactiv, I totally feel DESPERATELY!! My face got sooo red, dryness and very uncomfortable!!! PLUS,when im using it, my chin got some new zits!!!! it just unbelievable!!! Give my HEALTHY FACE BACK!!!!!!! Do you think it's really RISK FREE???!!!!!!!!!!!!!
