It brings up all of the acne that you have and will have and then after about a week or two the acne starts being eliminated. It leaves your skin feeling soft.

Pros:

Clears pimples and zits

Cons:

Dries skin terribly, give skin a strange texture, too frequent shipments

I always had pretty clear skin up until about a year ago when stress caught up with me and my skin had a horrible reaction. I started getting little zits and HUGE pimples. I ordered Proactiv and I have gotten very few pimples. However, my skin is dry and stiff. I was left with scars and like..discolorations. If all you want is no or very few pimples..Proactiv will give that to you.

Pros:

The BP cream has decent coverage; The moisturizer was decent with respect to not causing break-outs and not being scented

Cons:

The cleanser and toner were too harsh for my skin; Did not like the scent of the BP cream;
Too many steps and time-consuming to use; needed more moisturizer to combat dryness than came with the system; my face hurt a lot while I used this product

If you want to try a BP-based regimen, you're much better off trying the simpler, gentler acne.org regimen (with either San's products or products you can buy at the store.) Proactiv is basically an overpriced BP product line with harsh chemical additives that are irritatiing to those with sensitve skin. They supposedly have a sensitive skin line with SA, but I did not try that system.

Pros:

Proactiv has completely transformed my skin. it is the first skin care treatment that has actually worked. It leaves my skin feeling smoothe and refreshed. Money back guarentee so if you're not happy it didn't cost you anything but your time.

Cons:

The bottles are cheap and the lids may snap off, but this is easily fixed by a little glad wrap. If this is the only thing I have to worry about and it doesn't effect the level of effectiveness then it is pretty good. :)

People often complain about the cost but when you think about it, proactiv costs less than a dollar a day including postage which is good valueIf you are willing to commit to using it twice a day, every day then it is sure to be worth your while. TRY IT, IT WORKED MIRACLES ON MY SKIN EVEN AFTER THE FIRST WEEK OF USAGE! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE WHO SUFFERS FROM ACNE TRYS PROACTIV SOLUTION!

Pros:

It clears up zits (mild to moderate acne), and the lotion and cleanser smell good.

Cons:

The toner smells like rotten eggs, and I've got the sunburnt look. Also, you're on their stupid club list and that doesn't help.

I've got sensitive skin, and Proactiv gives me that sunburnt look. It clears up zits, but does nothing for blackheads. I hate looking like a tomato, especially when you compare my face to the rest of my fair-skinned body. Also, I thought you received the refining mask every month. You only get it one time (which sucks, because ordering separately from the Proactiv site is a hassle).

Pros:

It works, at least for a while. Maybe it will continue working this time around, maybe not. It leaves skin feeling rejuvenated and fresh.

Cons:

Is inconsistent. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I have used and stopped using this product 2 times before, and this is the third time that I am starting to use it again. This time, it worked wonderfully and I have used it for a week now.

My skin has very few blemishes now. I tried it about a year ago, thinking it would work because it had worked for me before and I had stopped using it. Two or three years later, my acne came back so I tried it and it didn't do anything for my skin and instead dried it out. But I decided to try it again recently because there was some lying around in the cabinet and it worked!! Weird, I just hope it continues working, tho. It is great when it works and a disappointment when it doesn't. It will have varying effects on different people. That is the bottom line .If you want to take a chance, then u should. I mean, its worth a try right?

Pros:

My face freaked out when I first got pregnant. Proactive was the only thing that worked, and it worked well the first time

Cons:

I thought I would try something else after a few years and my face didn't agree with it. But when I went back to proactive, it didn't work anymore. I was told by another former user that it didn't work for her after stopping and restarting again.

Don't stop using it. Works great the 1st time, but not after you restart it.

Pros:

Has a nice smell
Nice Packaging

Cons:

Dries the skin like mad
Stop using it and suffer

Overall I would say that it worked at first for moderate acne, then stopped working. Skin never got 100% clear. It's a complete waste of time and money.

Pros:

Helped clear and prevent big break outs

Cons:

Didnt clear all pimples. Dried my skin out badly and made it peel. Burns really badly if it gets near your eyes. Stains everything.

Might be good if you just started having break outs. Can be costly and messy.

Pros:

It feels good on your face.

Cons:

My face broke out worse after using this product dilligently.

I really didn't like this product. It made my face worse. When I signed up they automatically charge your account monthly and send product monthly; which I didn't realize. However, it was easy to cancel with just a phone call. I would never use this product again though.
