Pros:

-Works very well at first

Cons:

- Damages skin
- Stops working
- Irritates skin and is expensive

Bottom line. If you have money to waste and want to be clear for a month, then go back to where you were before, buy it

Pros:

The small beads exfoliate your skin and leave it smooth

Cons:

Never cleared up my skin

Shortly after I began using Proactiv my skin cleared up a little, then it all came back and now my skin is worse than before I started. I am now trying Differin.

Pros:

Cleared up most of my acne

Cons:

I heard it caused premature aging and was bad for my skin

If you want a quick fix a month before prom, use this for a month. If you want a long-term acne product, I would not suggest this. It is very bad for your skin.

Pros:

This product works. It makes your acne worse for the first two weeks, but then you'll see major improvement. Most people don't use it consistently but if you do it should work.

Cons:

It is expensive and the three step system has teeny weeny bottles that last about a month and a half.

You should buy this if other stuff hasn't worked. My dermatologist prescribed EVERYTHING: retin a, differin, atralin, benzaclin, and pretty much all the meds. Strangely, Proactiv has shown better improvement. Every three months at my visit she would prescribe a different medication, each about 50 to 100 dollars each, I was using 3 products at a time. It was just too much money for something that wasn't working. IT would keep my acne mild, but never clear it. So proactiv has worked way better!

Pros:

- made skin feel softer
- took dryness from my skin

Cons:

- price
- I got confused with all the different products (i have 5.)
- stung a little when I first put it on

I just started using it today actually, so I didnt have time to see improvements, but after using the toner, my face got extremely red and stung a little bit. I continued to step 3, and my face looked and felt so soft after it dried. I then applied the moisturizer and it made my skin even softer, and the redness faded. My face isn't dry for now, and my skin has a certain glow to it. I'll write another review in a few days, just to update. For now, it's looking good.

Pros:

Really got rid of pimples that had been there for a long time, leaving slight scarring.

Cons:

Dried out my skin. Flaking and itching broke out when I had never experienced that before.
Did not help stop breakouts.
Got smaller sized but more stubborn acne.

Sure, I have less acne, but I dont want to spend my whole morning just moisturizing my skin when I need to cover up the zits it's not deminishing with makeup. You can't put on makeup if your skin is dry, it just makes it more obvious. This product works for most people I've talked to about it. I like it so far, but I can only use it every night, skipping the toner for ever two nights, dryness has deminished a bit, but still quite flaky. I'm going to keep trying it out, cause who knows, maybe it will be fine after a while...

Pros:

Cleared all of my acne completely when used on a regular basis, and cleared my skin within a week of use. Reduces redness and pain of acne within a few hours. Smells clean and plain, like lotion. Doesn't dry skin out at all.

Cons:

Must be used frequently (1-2 times daily) for the product work, and all three solutions must be used. For $40, there is only about a month's worth. The green, watery Revitalizing Toner usually stings a little on contact

A great product, and worth the slightly expensive price tag. Works amazingly and consistently well if used regularly and as directed. The three-step system covers about all types of acne, and additional products (like moisturizers) can be easily purchased. Proactiv's claims in their advertisements all seem to be generally accurate. As a company, they're fast and trustworthy.

Pros:

Refining mask works great

Cons:

repairing lotion tends to make face oily.

Ive been using proactive for about a month now. never have had problems with big pimples, but ever since ive started using it my break outs are more frequent, and i wake up with large bumps under the skin. im still skeptical but willing to give it a chance/

Pros:

Smells nice. Works well at first, like for a couple months, and then totally stops working.

Cons:

some parts sting yout face bad.
and doesn't work THAT well

If you're mostly developed (like 17+) it works. but younger, not really. you need to have pretty developed skin. possibly 16 also Recommended: depends

Pros:

none!!

Cons:

everything!!

i had moderate acne. i tried the proactiv system because of the ads on tv and making me feel like i found the solution. hell no my pimples did not go away. it made me break out even worse!! then my face started to peel away, and i bled all over thru each and every pore. then demons came out of my face and asked me how much proactiv was. i told the demons "no! dont buy it! it will make your acne worse!" now i have no face and i wear a paper bag with the words "whole foods" on it.
