Pros:

has a step by step program; the smell

Cons:

the price; doesn't really help

I've been using it for a while now and haven't seen a difference. I only use it once a day but I haven't even seen a slight difference except it makes my skin MUCH oilier.

Pros:

It does clear your skin if you have really bad acne

Cons:

however its no good if you just have mild acne, I mean I only get pimples small ones when I'm on my period but ever since I started using proactive I started getting cystic acne on my chin (which never happen to me before).

I agree that the commercials make it seem like its a miracle product, well it isnt. I mean I dont want to use a product all my life in order to have clear skin, I just want the one pimple I get every now and then to disappear faster. I personally think that the medicine on proactive makes your skin very sensitive if you stop using it, like you'd get oily skin or break out easily if you don't use hte product. Its a huge catch if your skin only has mild acne. So don't get it unless you really need, buy some neutrogena it works better for just mild acne.

Pros:

None. It really didn't to anything at all.

Cons:

It's expensive, and since it really didn't work, it was just a waste of money.

I would not buy this again.

Pros:

I see an immediate reduction in the size of my blackheads after each wash. When I am able to use it 2x per day, my skin becomes almost perfectly clear. Those painful, deep zits are gone because the pores are clear and can't become compacted.

Cons:

I don't consume each step in the same amount of time, but I have to buy the system in a kit. The facewash may be too coarse for those with delicate skin. I can't get away with skipping moisturizer; considerable drying will occur without moisturizer.

Very effective in deminishing blackheads and whiteheads, but is inadequate in tightening the pores. Works well for those whose pimples are formed from blackheads & whiteheads (compaction, infection, etc). Probably is inappropriate for those with sensitive skin. Make sure you apply a good non-comodegenic moisturizer after using this (I like Oil of Olay).

Cons:

Pros:

Certainly not many, it didn't really help at all.

Cons:

IT dried my skin out and burns without a positive result. It had virtually no effect on my skin at all.

I have severe acne and maybe if you don't u can try this but if tou are like me this product sucks.

Pros:

I've used this almost every day, twice a day, for around 4 years. I had mild acne beforehand, and it did seem to help. My skin felt smoother, and it cleared up all my whiteheads, even though I still have around 2 slight breakouts a month.

Cons:

Didn't get rid of the blackheads. The 3rd step always lasts way longer than the 1st and 2nd step, and the 3rd expires earlier.

A very good product to try. Try it for around a month, see how it works on your skin. I'd say if it doesn't get any better within a month, don't bother using it anymore. (If you're a girl and you seem to have breakouts before/after/during your periods, monitor how well proactive effects you at different times during the month, if at all!) This product is VERY, VERY good if you want to simply get into a routine every day that will at least slightly help your skin. I helped me to get into a routine that helped my skin a lot.

Pros:

proactiv works on miild acne- that's about it. that's the only pro. the people from proactiv don't take into consideration that not everyone has the same acne, and that not everyone will be helped by BP alone.

Cons:

face had more oil on it, the toner did remove SOME of the blemishes. the acne cleanser was too rough on my skin- and the clarifying lotion only made my skin oilier.

bottom line? don't touch your face. don't touch it no matter what. even when you're in class, at work bored, and want to rest on something? don't rest on your hands, DON'T touch your breakouts, i know it's tempting, to "check" how they're doing, if they're gone- NO. NO, NO. it's human nature to touch your eyes, your nose, and your mouth. THAT'S why we get sick. now imagine all that crap on your face? I'm still a teen, and I'm using Murad right now, as a last resort. I was one of those people that proactiv didnt work for, for whatever bloody reason. But I just thank that Im not one of those people that got cystic acne from using this product. I would've killed someone.

Pros:

My skin is smoother and brighter. Less breakouts than before I started using it. Smells really nice. I especially love using the refining mask as a spot treatment - works really well.

Cons:

Doesn't 100% control breakouts (but is better than anything else I have used)

For me, this is the best over-the-counter system I have tried. No other cleanser, toner, or acne cream has ever come close the the results that I have gotten so far from Proactiv. I will continue using it as long as it is effective. I just hope it does not start to loose effectiveness.

Pros:

It helps with mild acne.

Cons:

Does not help with major acne.

I have been using Poractive for almost five years. I just turned 30 and I am still breaking out. Poractiv has helped control my mild breakout but I still found myself having major breakouts. What I also found out is that your diet really has to change in order to maximize the use of this product. I still use it because it keeps the major breakouts at bay.
