Pros:

I really like the 3 step system. It actually works quite well.

Cons:

Dries your skin out for a period of time, but it does go away. The mask smells funky though but it's no big deal. I still get a few spots now and then, but definitely not as bad as it was.

There is a way to really prevent dryness guys. For one thing, DO NOT PUT THE LOTION ALL OVER YOUR FACE. Just put it on the spots. I figured this out. If you just put it on the spots, it dries up and goes away. That is actually what the drying out is. Getting rid of the dirt and stuff and "detoxifying" your skin. I was gonna say something else but I forgot. I swear I have short term memory loss. If I remember I will post again :P

Pros:

none

Cons:

proactive is not good for sensitive skin!!!!!

I odered this product and was very excited to try it but in the morning when i woke up i had a allergic reaction. I found out it's not for sensitive skin. So if you have that type of skin don't use it!! I'm sure it works for some people just not me : (

Pros:

Skin is fine after 2nd week of use. No breakouts yet, I'm only 19 so I'm normally packed with alot of oil. I have tried other products recommended by my dermatologits but they dont' work.

Cons:

Too pricey honestly. Dry skin.

Everyone has a different body. That determines how the products will work on our skin. Each result is different for the individual. Some may not get results because of certain skin conditions but others will clear up within daily usage. I'm not sure about the whole idea of where your body can get immune to it. That actually sounds kinda ridiculous.

Pros:

I love Proactiv! I have been using it for about 2 years now. It has cleared up my acne although I do break out around the my period but only 1- pimples, if any. I've had friends recently say "Wow, your skin looks great!"

Cons:

It can be a bit pricey but definatley worth it. I tired Tazoac which was very expensive and extremely toxic and harsh..:(

I use it consistently and i also drink lots of water, eat healthy and exercise.. which i believe all play a role. When i am not eating right or exercising, i do notice a difference in my skin. Drink Water !!! I tried to switch to something more natural but then broke out and went back to proactiv. I highly suggest trying it but you've got to be patient..maybe give it 1 month at least. I saw results immediatley.

Pros:

makes my skin really smooth

Cons:

dehydrates my skin a bit if i dont use a moistuiser

i dont have acne just get a pimple here and there occasionally. it dosnt seem to do nething bad to my skin just helps to maintain it. i dont think it will stop huge pimples from forming however it does prevent small ones and bumps etc. Dont over use it coz like nething else it will overdry your skin but its an acne treatment THEY ALL HAVE A DRYING EFFECT

Pros:

it clears your skin fast, its gentle, it evens the tone of your skin and makes it smooth

Cons:

its expensive, and you're sucked into automatic shipment, the smell is a bit nauseating, customer service and infomercials suck, the BP bleaches my tshirts and eyebrows

if you respond well to benzoyl peroxide, this is for you. if you're sensitive to it, dont buy it. BP is the only thing that clears my skin consistently, and so this kit clears up my skin fast and effectively and leaves me with smooth skin. Another thing to remember - once your skin is clear, this is preventive treatment, which means, if you get lazy and dont use it when you're clear, you'll probably start to break out again. This happened to me many times (when will I learn?) Overall, its a great system and has worked extremely well for me, and is actually the ONLY thing that has worked this well in treating my moderate inflammatory acne. Ive used it on and off for 3 years.

Pros:

I like it. I have occasional acne around that time of month. I have had this for about 20 years. I have been using Proactive for over a year and my break-outs are down to a minimal if none at all.

Cons:

I don't like the 3rd step( the repairing lotion). It dries out my face.

I don't think any other product would do this. My face looks better now than in my 20's. I miss days of use, but it doesn't seem to make a difference as long as I use it more often than not. If you compare with other products on the market, I believe it has a fair price.

Pros:

It does clear your skin if you have really bad acne

Cons:

however its no good if you just have mild acne, I mean I only get pimples small ones when I'm on my period but ever since I started using proactive I started getting cystic acne on my chin (which never happen to me before).

I agree that the commercials make it seem like its a miracle product, well it isnt. I mean I dont want to use a product all my life in order to have clear skin, I just want the one pimple I get every now and then to disappear faster. I personally think that the medicine on proactive makes your skin very sensitive if you stop using it, like you'd get oily skin or break out easily if you don't use hte product. Its a huge catch if your skin only has mild acne. So don't get it unless you really need, buy some neutrogena it works better for just mild acne.
