Pros:

Simple 3 step process...

Cons:

Toner made my skin burn and itch very badly only and in the end I had very dry skin.

Why are people paying $50 for this product? Because something had to pay for Jessica Simpson's paycheck. Proactiv works initially, only to dry skin out terribly leading to further breakouts. In the end, it's not worth it.

Pros:

Did clear up acne, left my skin feeling less greasy.

Cons:

Makes skin dry and itchy, stopped working after a while. Also very expensive and annoying to order off the website, which has automatic shipping.

I have struggled with acne since my early teens. I had terrible acne all over my face, mainly forehead and chin, and after seeing several dermatologists and many prescription medications, nothing would help. I decided to try proactiv after my sister had tried it and it worked for her. I could feel results after the first use. It did clear up a lot of my acne and made my skin feel soft, but after about 2 years of use I have stopped seeing any results. I am now looking for a new regimine.

Pros:

Easy to use but that's about it.

Cons:

Doesn't work for me, Pricey

I got this product because I was beggining to develope mild acne around my chin/jawline and I have had moderate acne on my forehead for a long time but my hair covers it so I wasn't really worried about it. When I first started using the product it worked great but that was for a very short time.. about 2 weeks. Since then my acne has just gotten worse around my jawline, 2 to 3 times worse i'd say, however it has done a nice job of mostly clearing up the acne on my forehead but thats not what I was worried about, perhaps the product is for more severe cases but its just not for me.

Pros:

Best acne medicine on the planet.. Works great!

Cons:

nothing!

I spent so much money going to dermatologist and basically trying every product on the market! Proactiv has saved my life.

Pros:

This stuff is amazing. The only treatment that has ever worked for me. I've had a clear complexion for over year now :)

Cons:

The price sucks and you're gonna have to be extremely consistent in using it. As soon as you stop for a week or so, you'll break out like hell.
Oh, and the three-step process is a bitch every morning and night...takes like 20 minutes.

ONLY use this if nothing else has worked for you. It worked for me and friends of mine, and it can work for you too, if you're willing to pay for it and use it TWICE a day, EVERY day.

Pros:

Cleared my acne, inexpensive, doesn't dry out my skin like other products i've used.

Cons:

You have to order online or by phone and shipping and handling fees really add up!

I've been using Proactiv Solution for 3 months now and it has worked! Of course, i still get a pimple here and there, but my face is about 95% better! I use the 3-step system along with the refining mask, green tea moisturizer, and the VitaClear vitamins that they also offer. I follow the directions exactly and i'm trying my best to be on a healthy, balanced diet. Also, i don't use any foundation. Even when i was just starting this regimen i tried to stay off of makeup as much as possible because it can still make you break out even if it's oil-free and non-comedogenic. So try to not use cosmetics girls! Good luck!

Pros:

Dr. Katie Rodan and Dr. Kathy Fields are dermetologists. Money-back guarantee.

Cons:

Leaves you with drying. Mentions that helps prevent new pimples from forming but this was the exact opposite. Never once mentions that it doesn't work for everyone + individual results may vary. Deceives you into thinking it works for everyone.

Doesn't work for everyone/most people. Don't waste your money or time or your fabrics.

Pros:

Does exactly what it says it will do. Follow the directions carefully, don't look for shortcuts, and plan to use the products forever! Acne is NOT ever cured, just managed! These products work very well if you use them as directed.

Cons:

The price.

I have had excellent results using these products. I like the basic kit and add the green tea moisturizer and the clarifying night cream to the regimen twice daily, plus the refining mask a couple of times a week. My skin looks great.

Pros:

IT HAS SOME MERIT. I DEFINATELY NOTICED IMPROVEMENT AND NOTHING ELSE BUT ANTIBIOTICS EVER HELPR=ED ME MUCH BEFORE.

Cons:

A BIT PRICEY!!! THEY REQUIRE AN ORDER AT LEAST EVERY 6 MONTHS TO GET CLUB PRICING AND I DON'T NEED IT THAT OFTEN.

IT TOOK ABOUT TWO WEEKS TO CLEAR MY ACNE UP BUT I HAD IT BAD. I HAVE ROSACEA AND ALTHOUGH IT DOESN'T KEEP ME FROM HAVING ROSACEA "EPISODES" IT KEEPS THE RELATED ACNE IN CHECK VERY WELL. I STILL HAVE REDNESS AND SWELLING OF THE NOSE; I.E. W.C. FIELDS; WHEN THE ROSACEA FLARES BUT UP ONLY ORAL ANTIBIOTICS CAN TREAT AND PREVENT THAT. IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN A HEALTHY COMPLEXION I HAD TO TAKE THE ANTIBIOTICS EVERY DAY ALONG WITH USING PRESCRIPTION FACIAL WASH, PRESCRIPTION ROSACEA OINTMENT, AND PRESCRIPTION ROSACEA LOTION ALL OF WHICH WERE EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. I NOW ONLY USE PROACTIVE AND OCCASIONALLY TAKE ANTIBIOTICS TO COMBAT THE SWELLING OF MY NOSE THAT ROSEACEA CAUSES. AFTER CLEARING UP I ONLY HAVE TO USE PROACTIVE ONCE A DAY AND SOME TIMES SKIP A DAY OF TWO W/O DRASTIC EFFECT. THE PROACTIVE IS PRICEY BUT THE PRESCRIPTON EQUVILENT WAS FAR MORE EXPENSIVE SO IN MY CASE IT IS WORTH IT. I HAVEN'T EXPERIENCED ANY IRRITATION FROM THE BENZOYL PEROXIDE BUT I HAVE TOUGH FACE.
