Pros:

- it actually makes acne go away

Cons:

- it makes your face dry up and sometimes your face gets red or itchy (in my case)

proactive is an OKAY product. It depends on who is using it. It's not like its gonna work on everyone and make every look pretty or look like jessica simpson =T although we wish it did (maybe not the jessica part, but the pretty part)

Pros:

I think it works for very mild acne.

Cons:

- expensive
- unusual smell
- too much hype

Worked for the first year. I suppose my acne got worse but the product stopped working. I've been on it regardless for the last 4 years and I've been clear once due to oral medication. I wouldn't really suggest this product to anyone, but it's worth a try.

Pros:

-began to work after about a week
-makes skin alot more soft

Cons:

-stopped working, & now i am begining to get pimples again
-seems to not be very consistant whatsoever.

does not stop all acne/pimples. not consistant @ all

Pros:

+ smells good

Cons:

-bleaches towels&clothing;-caused more breakouts;-caused more oil production;-made my face itchy;-way too pricey;-ineffective;-stopped working;-clogged my pores like nobody's business

This stuff is CRAP!!!Complete RUBBISH! I am muc happier with retin-a and dove soap. Proactiv is way too overhyped.

Pros:

Made my skin better...face feels clean when first applied

Cons:

Dries badly...i had to get jojoba oil which fixes it up when its on, but when i dont moistuize it's terrible! very expensive and looks nothing like on the ads

Just recieved my 2nd kit,as i thought id give it 2 more months chance...it hasnt completly cleared up skin and i still get little white pimples,but i guess it is better...only problem is that the light in my bathroom makes my skin LOOK clear and tanned, but other mirrors in natural light make it look red and really brings out the acne..so im not sure how good it is...but it has made some difference...but nothing like on the ads!!! ill report back after 4 months....p.s ive also changed to using it at night only coz i have no time in the mornings and i dont want the shiny skin jojoba oil gives me at school

Pros:

It does clear up your face, and it feels great. It works pretty fast and if used correctly keeps your face very clear.

Cons:

If you stop using it you break out worse. If you don't continue use then your face ends up looking worse than before you started!!

I used Proactiv for about 2 years. When i first used the product i was amazed at how clear my face turned out! I saw results right away! I made the mistake of stopping use once my face cleared up though. Once i quit my face broke out so bad. I started the product again but it never cleared my face like it had at first. So now i've quit the product all together and my face has broken out and it looks terrible!! I've never had acne like this before!! I suggest if using or thinking of using Proactiv be prepared to make it a lifetime decision!

Pros:

none, i have been using it for over 6 six weeks now and its worse instead of better. my face hasnt been this bad since i was a kid.

Cons:

reddens face, face still broke out. every day a new pimple.

its not for everyone.

been using for a little over month, consistenly following the directions. i now have red, itchy, peeling, irritated, burned skin. i've been noticing my hair starting to bleach aswell, particularly around my eyebrows. must be something to do with the benzophyl peroxide. the sad thing about this product is the acne always re-appears. often worse than usual. clear skin one day, mass breakout the next.

Pros:

Clears my face up right away, easy and quick, dependable

Cons:

Alittle dryness, ordering is alittle outdated when getting other products

It's the best thing I've ever used. I've had very bad acne since I was young. So bad I had to get injections on my face. I've been using Proactiv for 5 years now and it's been great. I've left it for other products and always had to come back because nothing was ever strong enough like Proactiv to clear up my face and keep it clear.
