Pros:

It works without nearly as much irritation as other products.

Cons:

Time consuming, bleaches stuff.

I've been off and on Proactiv for 8 yrs. This last time I went off because I got sick of the regimen (as it is time consuming) and tried to go all-natural. BIG MISTAKE! I''ve never looked that bad in my life. So I started Dan's regimen and did that for 6 weeks but my sensitive skin couldn't handle the dryness & flaking (this was even more time consuming BTW). Then I tried the Differin gel 1% for four weeks and it made my skin itch like crazy! I didn't know what was worse; the acne or the dry, dead skin. So finally I decided to go back to what has always worked for me. And although my skin may never be perfect, Proactiv has kept my acne under control without over-drying and itching. My skin is smooth once again and hydrated. I'm glad I took the time to see what else is out there because now I know that the grass ain't greener on the other side and I have found the best stuff to treat my acne.

Pros:

- works quickly
- get extra products when you order off television
- mask works great!

Cons:

- when discontinuing product you break out
- $$ and hard to find in stores.. i buy off tv
- dries out your skin the first week or so of usage

I noticed a difference very quickly, It got rid of my acne completely. Now even though I did not have horrible acne i still felt self conscious without makeup, after using proactive I didn't have that problem. Although when I stopped using it or skipped using it on the weekend or something I would break out..... Its like crack for your face.... but in my opinion it is worth it.

Pros:

Keeps skin very smooth and exfoliated, haven't had any problems with flakiness!

Cons:

The glycolic acid in the toner may be too strong for those with very sensitive skin, but it just gave me a pleasant tingle.

I used to have horrible breakouts and I tried everything except going to a derm, before trying this. I usually get the worst breakouts around "that time of month" or when I'm really stressed I'll break out badly a few days later. I have been using this product almost two months now and for the first two weeks I noticed only a small difference, but probably a month after I had started my skin felt smoother and softer and looked better than it had for years! Needless to say I'm very happy that I can go out without face makeup and not be embarrassed!

Pros:

It helped clear my acne but I still have scars left over by acne (there's a product they have for hyperpigment which, I'm going to try later).

Cons:

It dries out your skin and may cause peeling.
I minimized my use. I used it at night only. Now it does not dry my skin at all.
(Moisturize well)

Give it a try.

Pros:

Let me think - oh, right. It helps my skin. Duur -_-U

Cons:

I don't use all of the products, but I share with my sister so it's all fine.

I do break out at times due to hormones (my monthly) and excessive stress, but they're very minor. As long as I don't look like I did in grade 8, I'm happy.

It works for me. Not everyone's skin is suitable for the same products, but I have to shuffle between ones because my skin becomes immune to stuff after a couple months. **RANT BELOW** - And I'm not sugarcoating it. Oh. My. GOD. How many people do NOT know tat this is for people with /actual/ acne - not just a couple of pimples on your forehead, but acne!?!? If you try it with little to no acne you're not gonna get many places, it won't be worth the price. And to WATCHOUT!, it does say that the product acts a bleach on fabrics. Dunno how you missed that one -_-U

Pros:

It almost clears my skin! When I started using it I had about 20 irritated pimples. Today, 2½ week later, I've got like 3. My skin has really start to glow.

Cons:

It really really dries your skin out! In the beginning my skin just peel off, looked horrible! BUT I started using dermalogica active moist, this helped!

Will continuing using it!

Pros:

Helped my facial acne

Cons:

A little drying

I haven't had a new zit in 4 days. Which is a big deal to me. Old ones drying and clearing. However after reading the Regimen a week ago. I started applying everything more gently, using Spectrogel in the morning for cleansing and their cleanser at nigh, I'm also using allot more BP then they recommend. That must have helped.

Pros:

Smoothes your skin

Cons:

Does Burn at first, gets dry in the beginning and is slow at clearing skin but definitely works.

Ive been using proactiv on and off for about 8 or 9 years (i use it a.m. and p.m. no skipping days!) and to tell ya the truth, im better using it then i am without! I cant believe the difference in my skin from when im using it to not using it! At first your face will be red, itchy, burning and dry but after 2 weeks its back to normal (unless you have allergy to the peroxide) and i would say it takes at least 2mths to clear up acne.

Pros:

Smooths out the skin.
Gets rid of redness.

Cons:

Expensive

This did work. I saw results from day one. It makes your skin very very very soft. Don`t use if your skin is extremely sensitive (mines not) If you got the money- GO FOR IT! but its not that incredibly bad since its worth it.
