Pros:

works after a couple months

Cons:

makes acne worse the first couple weeks

what the proactiv does is brings the acne under your skin to the surface. then, after probably the first month, it heals it. you cant judge it if youve only used it for a couple weeks or a month. give it at least 6 weeks

Cons:

Rough, smelly, irritating, bleaches clothes, towels, sheets, etc.

This product made my acne so much worse, I actually began to think it might not be acne. I figured, if this stuff is making my acne THIS MUCH worse it must not be acne in the first place. Wrong. This stuff just sucks and had I switched products months ago I would have been helping the problem instead of aggravating it. The toner compounded the problem even worse. The Repairing Lotion and Revitalizing Mask are the only parts of this system worth using.

Pros:

THIS IS THE ONLY PRODUCT I HAVE EVER USED INCLUDING THE VERY DANGEROUS ACCUTAINE THAT HAS EVER WORKED FOR MY ACNE.

Cons:

THE BENZOYL PEROXIDE IS NOT GOOD FOR YOUR SKIN. BUT EITHER ARE ACNE BREAKOUTS

Pros:

Great Product, has the right combination of medications in a "skin friendly product." Has cleared up my skin some, but not completely. You can not expect "perfect" skin from any topical treatment.

Cons:

Price is a little extreme. But buying it from The Shopping channel does make it more affordable.

Proactiv really does work. I would recommend it to anyone. I wish I had a kit on my hip that I could give to people that I see are suffering and say "here" try it, it will work. I LOVE PROACTIV! :) Thank you Dr. Fields and Rodan.

Is it okay to still use this mask even after it expired?

Pros:

The cleansing mask is the only product that is worth the money even though it smells like sulfur and leaves your skin pretty dry. It is a good quick fix if you are needing polished skin asap.

Cons:

The Proactive system makes you look about ten years older than you really are. It dries out your skin terribly and leaves your skin red and dull. It also causes my acne scars, which are usually unnoticeable, to be dark red and irratated.

I would not recommend this product. When I get any of their products as a gift, I give it to my mother who does have a lot of faith in Proactive. I guess you have to try it for yourself; but as for me, I am sticking with Aveeno.

Pros:

It really actually works I've been using it for about 6 months now and I honestly see it working

Cons:

the bottle never finishes

It works It really does, I know a bunch ppeople who use the antibotics and there skin looks horrible,and there in so much pain switching to proactiv reallly helps.

Pros:

I saw immediate results after I started to use it. My face was so covered with blemishes that by the second day, they started to disappear.

Cons:

Nothing to report at this time

This stuff is worth it if you have acne that you just can't get rid of on your own. Totally recommended and I ensure that it will work.

Pros:

cleared my skin up. Toner is refreshing.

Cons:

some areas peel (nose, t-zone)

first thing that has worked for me. i now get complimented on my skin, it feels great. i do not use the moisturizer every day though, nor do i use the mask. Just have to find a routine that works for you. I look forward to washing my face twice a day because it makes me skin feel so soft. Also took a little while to work. Id say I didnt have really good until about two months of usage, so dont give up on it right away if you dont see results.

Pros:

It works. Cleared up my acne almost immediately.

Cons:

It is expensive. And can be a hassle to buy, as it's not available at drugstores.

I really do swear by this stuff. I admit, I am not always consistent with the "program," but it still works for me!! And, if you have spots/scars from old pimples, try the skin lightening lotion. After using it for a just a couple weeks, I can almost go with no makeup, my skin tone is so even.
