Pros:

Doesnt casue redness or flaking. Seems to work well for a little bit if used consistently.

Cons:

Expensive. Long process. Resistance builds up after acouple months and still break out especially if i skip a day.

seems to work for allitle bit if used consistenly but is expensive and takes awhile to apply. everyone seems to have a different response so go ahead and give it a shot.

Pros:

It worked wonders for me! My face has never been so clear and so smooth.

Cons:

The price is a little expensive.

It doesn't work for everyone, but the least you can do is try it and see.

Pros:

I'm 14 yrs old. Yeash I'm young. And I have had a bad case of acne since I was about 10 or 11 yrs. old. I hate my skin, and it's so irritating, so I decided to try Proactiv. For the first few weeks my skin felt great and it seemed to be working.

Cons:

After a few months it looked like it was getting better, but now I've used proactiv for about a year and it's not making any progress. I think my face is getting worse. I want to stop, but I have no idea what to use.

I have very bad scars and acne all over my face, mainly on my cheeks, and they won't go away. I've tried about everything. Neutrogena, Clean and clear, this one acne kit from another infomercial, Johnsons Baby, and lots more. Nothing seems to be working at all. I'm still using proactiv, but if anybody has suggestions on other products I can use please do tell. THESE PIMPLES ARE KILLING ME! (Proactiv still hasn't made progress on my skin.)

Pros:

Works really well, does wonders to my skin

Cons:

Not all of the zits are gone, some dryness of the skin. Expensive!!

So far, this is the best medication I have found that actually works, although it is pretty expensive. I work in a a grease filled environment and it keeps my skin clear compared to before I started using this treatment.

Pros:

It did make my skin smoother.

Cons:

It did not clear up the zits. It gave me more and I used it rligiously for 7 monthes. Go to Wal Mart and buy the Acne Free 3-step system. It works wonders at clearing up my skin, plus it does not dry my face out at all.

Proactiv is definetly not what it is cracked up to be!!! I HATE PROACTIVE SOLUTION. DO NOT BUY IT!!!

Pros:

It did clear up my small acne porblems, that could easily be covered by makeup. Didnt dry my skin out, but product is expensive and runs out quickly
Used for 4 months

Cons:

Cause me to get this cystic like zits in my chin area. They would stay under the skin for a week, then surface and scab. It was horribly emabarassing and left dark purple scars on my skin. I discontinued use about 2 weeks ago and my skin is healing.

Works for some of my friends, not for others. I am much happier using more gentle products and switching brands every few months and my skin gets used to each product after a few months.

Pros:

easy to buy, easy to use, lotions feel great on my skin

Cons:

i am red, itchy, dry, and scaly, but i've only been using it for about a week. i'm going to lower my dosage to once a day as directed and keep using it for a short while to see if i get used to the benzoyl peroxide. if not, i'll discontinute.

Pros:

Face mask worked rather well, tightened my face and was the only part that actually cleared zits.

Cons:

None of the rest worked. NOT AT ALL. and I didn't even have considerably bad acne.

I wouldn't reccomend it to those who search constantly for one to work.

Pros:

it makes my skin soft and smooth.i have make sure my boyfriend doesn't stop buying proactiv for.

Cons:

it makes my face oily.

the best acne treatment have used so far.just give it a try .trust me it's worthy.

Pros:

Ease of use. The way it makes my skin feel. The convenience of mail-order. The products last a long time... a little goes a long way.

Cons:

Doesn't COMPLETELY eliminate acne break-outs and flare-ups!

I've read numerous negative reviews on the Proactiv system, but I must respectfully disagree with them all. Although the Proactiv system is not perfect, it is BY FAR better than anything else I've ever used. I'm now 37 years old and I've been fighting acne since I was 9 years old. My only real complaint about the Proactive system is that if I somehow miss using it a time or two, I immediately notice small breakouts beginning to form on my skin. Fortunately, the very next time I use the system, the breakouts go away. However, I still tend to have a small cluster of breakouts over my face when it's "that time of the month" whether I am consistently using Proactiv or whether I've inadvertently missed a day or two. Proactive doesn't seem to help much at all with these hormonal breakouts. Despite these criticisms, I still recommend Proactive to everyone I know. I admit the system might not be for everybody, but overall it works for me!
