I started using it 2 weeks ago, I use it everyday, decreased when I saw my skin got worse. I started breaking out in places i never did before.

Pros:

it made my skin look better than using anything and for the first month my skin improved

Cons:

After the fist month skin started looking as it was before
flaky and dry

not for people with moderate to sever acne

Pros:

I've started to use the repairing lotion as part of my routine with using cetaphyl cleanser and aveeno moisturizing lotion and it works well as a benzol peroxide treatment. When combined with the cleanser and the toner it really irritated my skin.

Cons:

I don't know why but this really didn't work for me. I went from having occasional pimples to full flown break outs. The cleanser irritates the skin especially if you scrub for 1-2 minutes as suggested. Just not a great product.

Made my skin worse. But the benzol peroxide works well when combined with other products.

Pros:

it makes ur skin soft

Cons:

causes scaring and often leaves red marks that can last up to 3 years. the red marks are almost guarenteed if you have more than moderate acne. only works on light acne
incredibly expensive

good for light acne, but severe acne ALWAYS gets more and more eritated. and i have like half my school is useing this so i know this to be fact. i recommend just getting acne soap and a 5% BP that you put derectly on the zit, and keep hair out of ur face thats how i got rid of mine. but proactiv doubled my acne in a matter of days
July 13, 2009

Pros:

makes your skin feel very clean & soft

Cons:

it just calms down the acne OCCASIONALLY but it never completly gives you the result youve wanted.

if you have severe or moderate acne, not worth it all at, false hope :( if you have light acne then mabey this is for you

Pros:

Cons:

it contains no soap but feels soapy after usingall three products.

Pros:

It cleared up the major acne I would have during that time of the month and kept from new acne reappearing. My face is really dry and the product helped my face from feeling tight all the time from makeup.

Cons:

I still have tiny bumps that do not go away, but Im not stressing over that

It worked really good. It has a good consistancy of keeping my acne from reappearing.

Pros:

Makes skin texture smooth, minimizes pore size

Cons:

Can be drying, can be irritating to sensitive skin, can bleach

The cons are all based on useage. Many stories I've heard are very harsh as I know acne is very emotional and can make many unhappy, however, it does no good to bash a product because of misuse or the unseen miraculous recovery. Everyone should know that acne is cannot be cured, this is scientific, however it can be controlled. You can't just slap some products on and think it'll just go away. It requires some changes in your daily life like, eating, diet, excercise. These things the Proactiv company won't tell you. You have to care enough to educate yourself about your body and its condition. Any product can cause acne to worsen. Everyone's skin is different and your skin care needs are different.Once you start the system and you notice the magical clearing effect there is no logical reason to keep using it the same way you did to clear it if its already clear. You should start to use it as your skin needs. If you're drying cut out the last step. Don't knock it 'til you cutomize 4 U!

Pros:

I honestly can't think of any.

Cons:

#1- Makes acne worse
#2- EXPENSIVE
#3- Not available at stores (there's probably a reason for that i.e. they would be shelling out refunds all day)

Used this for over nine months hoping, as the proactiv scumbags insist, that it simply takes time to work. I started with mild breakouts, ended up with cysts. This product is dangerous. It will make your acne worse. Don't fall for the convincing commercials as I did. Either see a dermatologist and get some legitimate treatment (which is pricey) or use cetaphil, some benzo peroxide and moisturizer and just accept what you have because this stuff WILL make your acne worse.
