Pros:

Cons:

Basically everything...
Irritated my skin
left me a giant hole
Dried out my skin
The cost

I've used this so many times. When I was like in Middle school, then high school. I would go off and on for 5 months at a time, and try giving it another chance.. but it never worked. It ruined my poor, sensitive skin. This is terrible, terrible, false advertisement. Not to mention they get famous people like Jessica Simpson and Katy Perry to advertise -__- please.

Pros:

It's less irritating for my skin than other programs I've tried.

Cons:

Over-drying, abrasive, has fragrance.

I keep coming back to Proactiv after trying other products because it seems to break me out the least. But it still breaks me out. It's impossible to use Proactiv while on The Regimen because the cleanser has exfoliating beads.

Pros:

Cons:

Make my acne so much worse.
Dry skin
Overpriced
Over-advertised
Very small bottles
Stains fabric.

If you want absolutly terrible skin, then proactiv is the product for you. The adverts drove me crazy, so I bought some, and was I sorry. My skin was red and horrible. And it stains clothes really bad, so if it can do that to fabric, then think of what it can do to your skin.

Cons:

Doesnt clear anything, spreads it to other places, no satifaction at all, company didnt answer/ return my calls to cancel product, over charged on several occasions.

Worst anti acne product to have come my way, now i have acne on my shoulders & back, and it got worse on my face. Terrible product, made my life worse, blew my chances with girls, thnx for ruining my already bad life Proactiv!

Pros:

-Reduces Pimple/Cyst Size

Cons:

- Does Not Clear Up Your Skin
- Makes Skin Dry
- Makes Acne Worse
- Redness/Burning

For this product all the commercials you see on TV you would think this would work right? But it does not the first time i tried this i put on the 3 Step solution my face burned so bad and i looked in the mirror and it was extremely red like a cherry so i immediately washed it off then it stopped burning, i recommend if this happens to you to wash it off and the next day only use step 1 and 2 not the benzoyl one then a couple weeks later try step 3 and when i did that it did not burn after but i used this for 2 months or so, and this was worthless did not help improve my face at all, made more breakouts. So i gave up on it. I am now trying Doxycycline a prescribed medicine from my Dermatologist so i hope this works, i know how much this can kill your self esteem trust me im 15, a sophomore in high school and it only seems like people are staring at my face. So i dont recommend you try this but if you best luck to you because no one wants acne.

Can be very drying
BP burns a little
Expensive

I have been using Proactiv for 9 years. Its been the only thing that can keep my acne under control. I can go months without out having one pimple. (I usually get one around "that time of the month). But I am okay with getting one. Proactiv doesnt work for everyone...but it DID work for me..and I swear by it. I have tried going off Proactiv and to try new products and I break out like madd.

Pros:

-Gentle on skin
-Smelled fine (unlike some acne products)

Cons:

-Left me with acne scars
-Did not help my breakouts in the long-run
-Made skin extra oily at night
-Wash dried out skin
-Over all that time, ended up costing a lot of money!

I started using Proactiv for the first time about three years ago and stopped using it because I was not happy with the results I was receiving. I then went back to it about a year and a half ago because what I was using at the time was making my skin break out worse than ever. I just recently discontinued using Proactiv. It took me quite some time to realize that it really was not doing anything positive for my skin. The lotion made my skin extremely oily overnight and the wash dried out my skin- worst combination!

Pros:

The original formula really worked for me

Cons:

The "new and improved" formula destroyed my face

I was in love with the original product, it did wonders for me for 5 years. I used the repairing lotion only a few times a week because it does dry skin badly if used everyday. Other than that, it was perfect. Last October, I bought the amazing new formula that supposedly is faster, gentler (and for some reason, a little cheaper). After the first two weeks, my skin felt rough and irritated, and looked red. My overall skin tone was blotchy. I've never had acne on my forehead or the sides of my cheeks and I got HUGE blemishes that would not go away for 3 months. I threw it away when they developed and haven't touched Proactiv again. The company destroyed a great product and a lot of faces for cheaper production and higher profit.

It isn't heavy on my face. Very light and smooth. Smells great and feels great.

Price

It works great so to me it's worth the money and the price is nothing compared to what it costs to go to a dermo and the price you'll pay for their medication. I've only been using it now a little over a month. My face is so soft! It's was patchy and a little rough before. My husband and my kids love touching my face because of how soft it is. The refining mask is like a miracle in a freaking bottle! At night I put a dab of it on a problem zit.. in the morning it was practually gone. Much better than poking at it. It helps the temptation of doing such also. I have tried many acne products.. and while some may have worked they always dried out my skin and irratated it.. so itchy and dry. Some just didn't work at all or the moisturizers made my skin oily. I love proactiv! I never wanted to spend money on it but finally my husband just bought it.. and I'm so happy he did! : )

Break out in single sporadic zits
Makes face stiff from dryness

I noticed results right away but my face is so stiff after washing, I hardly even look like myself! For the first 2 days I just used the wash alone which was extremely drying and I used a blue washcloth to rinse with and the cloth started turning pink!!! What the Hell is in this stuff? Bleach? It's now day 3 and I finally used the toner and moisturizer cream, but omg did it ever BURN! My face is no longer tight and dry, but now it burns, still burning 20 mins and turning red after toner and cream. I hope I don't have an allergic reaction... I think I'm going to quit this stuff and try something less harsh or maybe I'll just use the wash and forget the toner and cream.
