Pros:

NONE!!!!

Cons:

Very pricey!!! And makes your skin very dry.

I ve been using it for about a month now and I have seen no improvement in my skin. Actually my skin is very red where the pimples are and it has spread to my jaw line and down the side of my neck. Very disappointed as I paid $50.00 for this product.

Pros:

Gets rid of dead skin cells that lead to further break outs, lifts away dirt, excess sebum oil, reduces redness, refines and improves skin texture

Cons:

I havent found any , READ MY ARTICLE IT WILL HELP YOU.

I'v suffered acne on my back, shoulders, chest and face for 2 years and went throught literally hundreds of products and remedies on the market. I spend thousands of $$$$ on treatments. Proactive works as long as you only use a small amount and practice the technique of massaging it in the skin for the 2 minutes. I found eating ony fruits, vegetables, fish and drinking water and drinking Oolong tea helped. Acne starts from the inside and you need to do more than just 'use' proactive. It is a topical treatment and you need to use something in my case Oolong tea to cleanse from the inside. I think proactive is a credable topical acne treatment but should be used with care and used CONSISTENTLY for results. Its like exercise....... If you dont do it you'll gain weight. Same as you skin, you dont CONSTANTLY AND SUSTAINABLY treat it, it will break out. So i give it 4.5/5 the only thing is that you need to use the $th step which is the SPF 15 moisturiser for extra hydration.

Pros:

it works

Cons:

your skin gets addicted to it

I have been using pro-active since I started middle school. I am now finishing college and still am very dependent on it. I think my skin is very addicted to it. The moment I stop using it, even if it's just one night, my skin brakes out. I do not know what to do, I can not stop using it since I don't want acne but I know at some point I will have to. Bottom line.... this product work well but the moment I started using it my skin went from bad to horrible.

Pros:

Masks small non inflamed pimples

Cons:

My skin isn't sensitive but turned all the acne that I did have very red

When I was reading the reviews about proactiv not working I was like these people are probably not being consistent. However that is not the case I have. Been using it for about a month consistentley and haven't had a single result except that it will mask small pimples. I still get continous breakouts in the some areas. Not to mention pimples on my forehead that I didn't have a problem with before. Try it if your skeptical but didn't work for me

Pros:

at first makes your skin feel smooth after the wash

Cons:

-doesn't have any much of a result to see -dries out your skin
- if your skin is flaking the toner can sting -doesn't keep the oil away

I have heard of ProActive working for some people but it doesn't seem to work for me. You are not paying for a good product you are paying for the celebs to endorse the products. It is cheaply made and could be better. The only thing making it so popular is that it is shown of tv and they make it sound to good to be true... I regret wasteing my money on a product that just DOESN'T WORK!!!!!

Pros:

Reduces breakouts, smooths complexion, fades red marks slightly

Cons:

Is somewhat drying, but that can be managed. Sunscreen/moisturizer is required during the day - don't let your face burn!

I have fair skin and cystic acne on my cheeks and around my mouth. I had a bit of irritation/dryness during the first week of Proactiv, but my skin is slowly getting used to it. My breakouts are far less severe, and any cysts that do emerge are taken care of and go away without reaching the surface or causing scars. Overall, Proactiv is an effective acne management system, and once on it, you must stay on it if you want to manage your acne. Like all therapeutic treatments, once discontinued, symptoms can reoccur. Read the advice others have listed, get a good oil-free non-pore clogging sunscreen/moisturizer, and if the product is too harsh at first, use it only once a day rather than twice and build up to the full usage. Be gentle with the cleanser and don't grind the exfoliating beads into your skin. Give it a chance!

Pros:

it is amazing it totally vleared my acne and i finally feel free again i dont have to pile on layers of makeup and i still feel comfortable i love pro-active

Cons:

it leaves skin a bit itchy for about 3 hours after use

USE PRO ACTIVE im always getting comments on my skin rather than people always saying wow what makeup do you use. I know people can be very spectacle about products they are putting on their face but honestly just do what I did: order the $20.00 thirty-day trial kit when you get it pick a spot on your body and just try it out if it makes that spot red and gross send it back if it works go ahead. I mean come on $20.00 what were you gonna do take your family out to taco bell. Honestly this stuff won't work for everyone but i think it will work for most also i know a lot of these reviews say the product is bad but that is because it didn't work for those people the people that probably think about it more are the people that it didn't work for and so thats why you see so many bad reviews and btw if pro active was as bad as these people say i don't think it would be the #1 acne treatment in the world so just keep that in mind before you listen to these idiots. thanks for your time bye!!
