Pros:

smells good. maybe the best ads you see on tv, but that's about it.

Cons:

i started using this product when i was having moderate amount of cystic acne. by the 2nd week, my acne were horribly inflamed-- bigger than quarter coins in diameter, with literally continuous throbbing pain. i had to go to urgent care & get a shot.

doesn't work for everybody. it was the 2nd time i tried it.. still, it never worked. i even had to pay more money for seeing a doctor, and they had to give me an antibiotic shot for the infection (abscess, even) it caused. i did get my money back, but it's not worth it, going to work looking like that, and all the pain i went through and the money for infection treatment. if i can rate this a 0, i will.

Pros:

Cleared my skin for a short time.

Cons:

This product is an absolute nightmare when you stop using it. My face is a disaster and it seems like EVERYTHING is coming to the surface.

I started using it when I went on birth control and began to have skin problems. I stuck with it for several years and it never worked that great, but I was afraid to stop. Finally, I decided to stop using it (even though I knew what might happen) and it's just HORRIBLE. It seems like everything is coming out of my skin and it's just not stopping. I've since been using a gentle cleanser, toner and moisturizer...and apple cider vinegar toner at night. The ACV seems to be helping quite a bit. I think if I wasn't using it my skin would be much worse, with more deep cystic acne. BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. If your skin is bad, consider other options. It's not worth the pain and suffering you will go through when you stop using the product. It's gotten to the point where I'm so depressed and feel so ugly that I want to stay in the house and hide. PLEASE DO NOT USE PROACTIV. The product will only damage your skin further in the long run.

Pros:

NONE!

Cons:

-Takes out all moisture in face!
-Burns like hell when you use it!
-Made my face really red!

I thought that Proactiv would really work for me, so i told my mom to buy me Proactiv 2 weeks ago. After i started using it, 2 days later my face got really dry and it got irritated to the Proactiv. EVERYTIME i used the cleanser it would dry up my face and when i put on the toner it made it even worse and worst of all it BURNED so bad, the repairing lotion was even worse! After about 5 minutes that the repairing lotion had been on, it turned my face completely red like i got a really bad sunburn. i stopped using it for about 3 days and my face is still red. it did NOT help at all and it was way to espenzive. i still have my recipt and i hope i can return it.

Pros:

Cleared my son's skin for a day or so...

Cons:

Severe allergic reaction. He's been in pain for a few days now - using benedryl and hydrocortizone cream. His face looks burned.

Test it on a small patch of skin first - be careful.

Pros:

Works for other people like Vanessa Williams, Kelly Clarkson, Puff Daddy.

Cons:

Has not improved my complexion, on the con trier it has made it less desirable to look at. My pillow sheets are bleached.

I am very serious about winning my battle with acne. I did the routine to the "T". My face was bombarded with many massive white heads within the first three weeks then swarmed with tiny pustules for the last two months. They acne has not gone away. I am left with more scarring and acne than before. I am sure this will work on others. For facial reference, I have oily and a mild amount of hair, plus I am of Latin origin.

Pros:

It smelled nice.

Cons:

Didn't work well. It did the job for about a month, and then I had a massive break out that never really went away.

If you have severe acne, not just a couple of pimples (like most of the people on their commercials), it's better to go see a dermatologist.

Pros:

first couple of days it worked

Cons:

but after that it started making my skin worse,
breaking out even more. If you have very oily
skin I would not recommened this. It makes it worse.

I know some people that this product has worked for but not for me. It made it worse with more breakouts. I think this product is to harsh and can make people with oily skin even worse. I would not recommened to anyone.

Pros:

It smells ok.

Cons:

Horrible for sensitve skin. Adverse side effects. Expensive. Packaging makes it hard to get the right amt of product. Can bleach hair and clothing.

This product was horrible for my skin. I got huge zits with pus in them and several smaller zits as well. It irritated my skin and made it turn red. I later discovered that I have sensitve skin. This product is NOT good for that. I always had a hard time getting the "right" amount of stuff - I either get too much or too litte. May work for others but not for me. DO NOT use this product if you are allergic to benzoyl peroxide or have sensitive skin!!!! Way too expensive - waste of my time and my money.

Pros:

Yerright...i believed it proactiv in the commercials and seeing all those people use it and i wanted to try it too and i got really happy and it felt good the first two days...

Cons:

After a week of usage on proactiv my skin developed rashed and a huge side effect from benzeyl proxide now under my eyes i had red marks that hurt my face really badly and it didnt go away for 2 weeks

Use proactiv if your doctor recommends it to you if you dont have a doctor please go see one before you believe the crap that show you on TV i mean for gods sake look at all the make up they put when they're shooting those...obviosly their skin is going to look beautiful
