Pros:

packing and smell. the price was alright for something from a department store. other than that.... none.none.none.none.none.none!

Cons:

made my skin HORRIBLY DRY(im on accutane now, and its not even that dry). dryness made it difficult for me to wear makeup. gave me a lot more pimples.itched.skin was red and very angry with me

this product is designed for those with mild acne, so if yours is worse than that then this product is not for you! also, test this product on a patch of skin a few times, because it can be highly irratating. the 2nd step exfoliator contains a high amount of alochol (irritating), and is followed by the "moisturizer" which doesnt really moisturize because it contains medicines which are drying (also irritating). i recommend this for MILD ACNE PATIENTS WITH TOUGH SKIN!

Pros:

The mild facial soap is non-irritating, possibly the least acne-aggrivating product in the Clinique skincare line

Cons:

Fine for the first week or two, but made my fairly controllable facial acne much much worse!!

Decided, like many others, to splurge on this line, thinking more expensive meant better! What a mistake! I usually use biore facewash, a neutrogena cleanser, and clearasil oil free moisturiser which worked great. Switched to the Clinique three step plan, using mild facial soap, 32 clarifying lotion and dramatically different moisturiser. Used for a month and made my skin far far worse than it ever has been. I've just stopped using it, and tipped the remaining stuff down the sink so I will never go near it again. I now have inflamed, red bumps all over my chin, whiteheads, you name it!! My skin has never been so bad and so many people comment on it and are clearly shocked. Please, please do NOT BUY this stuff! It's overpriced and aggrivates skin that's not normally sensitive. It's a big sales gimmick. Save yourself some cash and dignity and stick to the reliable cheaper products that work well.

Pros:

I was walked through the best system for me through the counter attendant, it turned out to be very expensive. It began to clear my skin up after about two weeks. My skin was a little dried up, but the zits went down to virtually nothing.

Cons:

Very expensive and the soap bar is very impractical for travel. It has done nothing for the scars, so unfortunately my skin doesn't appear clear as such.

Expensive but relatively quick results. Scarring still a problem but improved the overall look.

Pros:

acts like it works for the first week, good return policy i returned it after trying their whole 3 step system and the make up and all for 6 months

Cons:

absolute crap, ruins your skin, makes you get zits all over your cheeks and their make up and concealer just makes you break out all over in places you never had acne in before!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. PLEASE. I wish I hadn't been conned into buying their crap for 6 months. I spent over 100 bucks at that darn counter and it resulted in nothing but a face that is MUCH worse than what it was to begin with. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't use their crap. I am 22, and I never had a zit on my cheek in my entire life til I used this stuff, now both my cheeks are full of them. And how do I know its Clinique that caused all this? I stopped using Clinique and switched to Sephora brand make up, and cheap drugstore cleansers like Cetaphil, and my skin is instantly clearing up!

Not for me
I have cystic acne and very sensitive skin. This product was not for me. It irritated my skin and made me break out for a few days. I like how it made my skin feel after washing though. Just wasn't a good fit for my skin problems.

If you're lucky, it might work for you.
My friend also has acne and recommended me the Clinique Acne Solutions Clear Skin System. I have oily skin and moderate/severe acne. The person at the counter also said that this kit is great and that just in case it didn't work then I can just get the $36 trial set. I should've been turned off by the price but I was just so excited by the idea that this might finally put a stop to my acne that I bought it without thinking. I used it for 1 1/2 months until I finished it and it ultimately made little difference, maybe broke me out a wee bit. If you're lucky it might work for you. Up to you whether you want to risk $36 because I sure as heck wish I didn't.

Pros:

Improves skin tone
Shortens breakouts
Makes your skin healthy and soft

Cons:

Slight burning sometimes
Can cause flaking

I've used a ton of different products for my skin, and have tried something from almost every drugstore brand, as well as Retin-A, which irritated my non-sensitive skin so much. I love this system, and even though I still see spots, the life of each spot is a lot shorter than without this cleanser. If you're having trouble with flakiness, I'd highly recommend using the Seven Day Scrub cream once a day or every other day too.

Pros:

If you stick with it, it works
Good for lesions, or any type of severe acne
If you buy the big bottles, and use properly, you can make the cleanser and toner last for at LEAST a month.

Cons:

Can be drying, especially the toner (2nd step)
Need to use more moisturizer, so you run out of that faster
Expensive
You have to do A.M and P.M

It works really well. I've been using it for almost 4 years now, and I have severe acne, the kind that hurts like a beeznatch. At first it sucks, because it brings out ALL the pimples that have been hiding for a while, but after it clears all those up, you're skin is really nice. Skin is soft, clear and honestly, after 2-3 months, if you ever have to use a heavy concealer and walk out of your house wearing anything but a light powder ladies, it will never work for you. The salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide are the only over the counter products that work for me, and the toner has witch hazel, which is mother nature's gift to acne prone skin. It's very soothing and if you stick with it, redness=0. I'm basing price on buying all three big bottles for each month or a little over, but for the starter kit it's about 45.00 (way too overpriced for little bottles)
