Pros:

My daughter's skin is less red and more even-toned, and larger active acne is disappearing. Areas of scarring seem to be fading. Clinique's customer support is terriffic. I chatted with an online rep who encouraged us to continue even when the acne seemed to get worse. She was very helpful. Clinique guarantees their products.

Cons:

Very drying in the first week. Initial breakout around 10 days in. Broke out in areas that had never broken out before. It is a bit expensive.

My daughter is 14 and has moderate acne. Months of dermatologist appointments yielded us strong antibiotics and topicals (E-Mycin, Minocycline, Differin, Retin A, Tazorac). After 5 months of these things, my daughter's face was not any better than when we began treatment. In fact, it just seemed irritated and red. The dermatologist was pushing Isotretinoin even though my daughter's acne was not cystic or severe. We even registered with ipledge. I just could not put those chemicals into her 14-yr-old body. We discontinued those prescription products and are trying eliminating trigger foods from her diet, eating healthier, taking a multi-vitamin with extra Zinc and Omega supplements, and using this kit. It is making a difference. Started using it on July 15th and it was very drying at first. About 10 days in she had a HUGE breakout all over her cheeks. Usually she breaks out on her chin and around her mouth, and on her forehead, so cheek acne was unexpected. At the advice of a Clinique rep, we persisted with the kit, and now her skin is clearing beautifully. She uses the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel in addition to the Acne Solutions kit. I hope we see continuing improvement.

Pros:

Fun to put on

Cons:

Runs out super quickly. Doesn't significantly reduse acne.

I've used this product in the past. I tried following the steps but they only lasted a couple weeks and are expensive to replace, mentioning they come in such small packaging. Even after using this for a couple months, I expected for my acne to go down, but it stayed the same. This is a waste of money so don't use it.

Pros:

immediate results
cleared skin
smoothed out tiny bumps
makes skin really soft

Cons:

dries out skin, but reveals beautiful skin underneath!!

This stuff worked for me! I was really, really skeptical of Clinique as an overhyped brand from my high school days, but at some point in the last few months, I was trying just about everything because my skin had gotten so severe. My dermatologist prescribed me everything from Finacea to Tazorac to Clindamycin and nothing was working. I have tried everything on the block other than oral meds, which I can't take for health reasons. Finally, I decided to try Clinique's regular skincare line for oily skin, I think the #2 line. I had a good experience with this line, but not amazing. It made my ragged-looking skin (from all the over the counter facial products I had been desperately trying on it) very soft, but it didn't clear my acne. Encouraged, however, i decided to try Clinique's Acne Solutions skincare line. I saw IMMEDIATE results. Let me just start out by saying that my skin was pretty bad. I had breakouts all over my cheeks, my forehead, temples and chin. Right, pretty much everywhere. And I always had a few "new" pimples on my face. At least two "active" ones at all times. My skin was really red as well. I also had tiny bumps on my cheeks that I think really made my skin look the worst. I could cover the pimples with Laura Mercier foundation (which is a great foundation if you need heavier coverage) but I could not hide the tiny bumps on my skin which if the light shined on my face a certain way, (usually from overhead) made me look terrible because they were pretty much all over. I did not experience a "purge" period. The first couple of days, my skin dried out, but I expected this, as almost every product does this when I first start using it. But I felt and saw my skin getting better every day. Even though it dried out though, I could tell that my skin was already feel softer and more smooth. The tiny bumps flattened out, the redness went away, and the pimples started to heal very quickly. This worked for me. I hi

Pros:

Not to pricy (compared to other things I have tried)
Easily accessible
Clearing my acne

Cons:

Drying
Sometimes Irritation
3 step does not moisturize enough

I have been using this product for about 1.2 weeks straight and let me tell you, I am having the best results that I have not had in years. I will say that I love the soap. It does an amazing job of cleaning. The toner which is hit and miss for me really cleans out my oil and pores. The 3 step is something I am confused about. I find it does not moisturize enough. As a result, I bought the gel of the regular 3 step, which once again does not moisturize enough. However, the moisture surge does. However, sometimes I find that my skin is more red then other times (usually around that time of the month). But, some days my skin has no redness. I have tried 2 dermatologists and topical gels, expensive cleansers, moisturizers and antibotics and have not seen results like these. My only complaint is the toner will bother my skin one day and will be find the other day. As a result, I will continue to 0.00use this product as I believe it will clear my skin!

Pros:

-Saw an immediate difference in skin color, texture, and acne reduction
-Is a perfect balance for the skin (with additional light moisturizer)
-Zapped zits overnight, saw an instant lessening of acne the first day of use
-Great for very sensitive/acne prone skin that's afraid of burning their face off :)
-Make-up goes on flawlessly over

Cons:

-Starting out was a little pricey, but I bought an additional light moisturizer (must have for sensitive skin) and a different toner for sensitivity...details below.

I moved from a very humid climate to a very dry climate and was struggling with chin and forehead breakouts like never before...large, deep, cystic acne. I knew the climate change had a lot to do with it, since my skin was well hydrated and now terribly dry, it would over compensate with more facial oil creating more zits...it was a vicious and awful cycle to try to re-balance...but thank goodness Clinique saved the day! I heard that their new acne line was a lifesaver for people with sensitive skin who could not handle products like Proactiv and Murad, which I had tried both with very adverse reactions (terribly dry skin, burning, ect). So I decided to give Clinique a shot. The lady at the counter was sooo sweet and helpful, and after listening to my predicament she kindly offered a system that she thought would work. I use the 'rinse off foaming cleanser' (to remove all make-up first, it's fabulous!), then cleanse with the 'acne cleanser' (bar not foam), tone with the 'mild clarifying lotion' (gentler than the acne line), put on the 'acne moisturizer', then follow it with 'moisture surge' gel lotion for additional moisture. BADA-BING! Clear, beautiful, not dry, flaky, or broken out skin...I'm pretty much glowing which feels sooo much better! No burning, no flaking...nothing like with all of the other systems out there that I tried with no avail! It sounds like a lot of steps...but it really does not take that much time...and, for me, having clear/perfect looking and feeling skin is well worth it! Try it! Especially if you have sensitive/acne prone skin...you won't regret it...and their return policy is amazing if for some odd reason you do!

Cons:

little pricey

i had tried accutane twice, minocycline, tetracycline, benzoyl peroxide,retin-A,benzaclin,azelex, amogn many many other things, and this workS!! the key is to stick to it at least a few months. it exfoliates, which is the key. it also removes deep oil and dirt.i highly highly highly recommend it, coming from someone who has dealt with acne on and off for 11 years. Try it! You'll never go back!!!

Pros:

Noticed a difference in 2 weeks. I am 30 with non-traditional adult acne and nothing else has worked. I started by using it as directed then how I thought it worked best for me. I use it once a day until "certain times of the month" when my skin is oilier and then I use it twice a day. So far I have been using it for 2 months and my skin keeps getting better. And I feel it is very affordable considering what it is doing for me.

Cons:

Step 3, the moisturizer, is anything but! So this is why I went to once per day. I have sensitive skin so it over dried my combination skin a bit.Sometimes I switch out step 3 with Clinque moisture surge. Which is a little pricey but the best moisturizer ever and truly oil-free! You have to use this system everyday, religiously or you will waste your time.

I recommend this! You just have to be patient with it and give it time to work and figure out your own schedule with it. I have had this acne problem for nearly 3 years and 3 trips to the dermatologist did nothing. The acne I have looks like mosquito bites that are itchy and inflamed. There was never a head to squeeze or anything but if anything touched it, it would ooze! My dermatologist tested it and said it was an adult acne. I tried 2 over the counter topical solutions and took antibiotics! This 3 step system worked for me! Good luck~!

Pros:

-no smell
-fast & easy
-cleared up acne right away

Cons:

-a little pricey for the FULL SIZED SET, but it takes a while to go through the bottles anyway

I LOVE this set! I have tried many other sets and decided to switch to Clinique and I have loved it ever since! I have been using this for seven months and I am still loving it. I use it twice a day and it's just the miracle worker! I would definitely recommend to try it out!

Pros:

Works great! My skin is smoother and more even, pores are less visible, all in all this works really well for more severe acne.

Cons:

Dries out skin - especially on my neck. I would not recommend putting this where you DON'T have acne. I had one bad breakout after using the regimen for about two weeks, but my skin has been clear ever since!

I have tried A LOT of other products and nothing has come close to this one. I have very sensitive skin and every little spot shows up. The majority of my acne is around my neck and mouth. It is definitely hormonal and did not appear this severe until I turned 19. I would only recommend this system if you have more severe acne as I believe this would dry out anyone with moderate or mild. This is not for the occasional pimple! I use all three products in the morning and evening and no part of my face is dry (although it was dry the first few days) - just my neck is a little dry. I also like that it doesn't make my skin more sensitive (i.e. more prone to sunburn) as I am often in direct sunlight.
