Pros:

cleared up large spots

Cons:

peeled with toner noticed more blackheads

I have had pretty bad acne, I was mortified by my larger spots so I geuss a few tiny blackheads aren't as bad. Proactive made my skin peel way worse. I like the wash better than that weird creamy stuff. Moisurizer made me look fresh as a daisy. Now breakouts rarely happen.

Pros:

After one month my skin is clearer, no where near completely blemish free but I'm now on my second month and happy with the results so far.

Cons:

It is quite expensive and I don't know what the long term effects on my skin will be.

I would try this if benzol peroxide has not worked. It is easy to use and I'm hoping to be blemish free if the results keep happening with prolonged use. There is a definiate difference.

Pros:

not sure....

Cons:

very harsh feeling. I have had the same pimples on my face since I started and they have not faded, decreased, nothing! They are still there.

I know they tell you to give it time, but all I see that doing is wasting more of my hard earned money. I have seen nothing positive from this product.

Pros:

cleanser is nice and clean feeling-

Cons:

strongly dislike the exfoliating gel and spot gel- made my oily skin look like it had a layer of thin plastic on it and I also purged and purged.... just stopped using it and I am using some Acne Free from the grocery store now- it's working great-

Everybody responds to different things in different ways- try it if you want, you never know- I am in the process of resructuring my thinking about all of this acne bus. anyway- maybe I'll stop using anything at all and see what happens after a month or so- just water- no make-up or cleansers- maybe my skin will find it's own balance-

Pros:

I got really good at putting on makeup

Cons:

Acne became much worse!!

After using Proactiv, it still gave me a few pimples here and there, but I wanted a completely clear complexion and decided to just give Murad a shot. It made my skin feel soft and was never dry, but after 2 weeks I had the worst breakout I have ever had in my life. It was absolutely horrific, it turned my few pimples into PAINFUL, 'nonpoppable' little pimples that covered my entire forehead, chin and cheeks (where I never had pimples before!!!). Definitely did not work, and have acne scars to prove it. :(

Pros:

cleared up my skin, and smelt good

Cons:

kind of made my skin oily at first, then worked!

it worked very well!

Pros:

None

Cons:

Made extremely mild acne worse.

I switched from ProActiv because it was no longer working quite as well. I had very mild acne and, within three weeks of using Murad, I have moderate to severe acne all over my face, including places where I never used to break out. Supposedly, acne is supposed to get worse before it gets better as skin "purges," but this is ridiculous. I would not recommend this product what-so-ever.

Pros:

it cleared up most of my forehead & a bit of my cheeks.

Cons:

i've been using it for a while. it doesn't work as fast as it says it does. plus all of a sudden i'm breaking out severely around my chin.

it makes your skin dry; you have high hopes for it...then the hopes go down b/c the "new" condition of your skin goes down. sometimes it makes my skin feel tight & it's starting to peel; no one told me it did that & i really don't like it.
December 16, 2008

Pros:

IT DOES NOT WORK AT ALL

Cons:

TOO EXPENSIVE FOR THE LITTLE BIT OF PRODUCT

THE 1ST DAY I USED IT I STARTED BREAKING OUT IN PLACES I NEVER HAD PIMPLES AND I ONLY NEEDED IT TO TAKE AWAY A FEW THAT I HAD ON MY CHIN AND CHEEKS, BUT NOW I NEED TO GET SOME OTHER PRODUCT TO HELP ME RIGHT AWAY.

Pros:

The moisturiser is cooling and feels nice on your skin.

Cons:

DOES NOT WORK! If you have cystic acne no wash or cream will help (unfortunately!) Believe me......i tried them all. PLEASE READ THIS!!!!

I know how u feel...... I suffered from cystic acne for over 10 years and had tried everything under the sun. I started with your basic clearasil washes and scrubs when i was in my early teens then went to the doctor and spent years going from topical creams and lotions to antibiotics and various contraceptive pills. My acne would clear up but then return just as it was before. I had facials, laser treatments, food allergy tests (and then tried cutting out dairy and gluten for several months), hormone tests, drank litres and litres of water, took vitamins........NOTHING worked. Nothing ever cleared it up completely or permanently. If you have CYSTIC acne, no cream willl clear it. NO face wash. They just over stimulate ur skin with all the acids and chemicals making it worse. The only thing that has worked is Accutane. Dont be scared of all the bullsh*t side effects they warn u about.....IT WORKS!!! And it changes ur skin for life! Ask any good dermatologist. My skin is amazing now!
