Pros:

Smells clean and refreshing, goes on smoothly, improves skin texture, doesn't sting, easy to use

Cons:

Expensive, purging process

I have been using the 'sensitive skin acne kit' for about 1 week now and I see minimal improvement so far. I have suffered with acne since I was 16 years old, and now I am in my early 20s. I have tried everything from birth control pills for acne, clindoxyl, proactive, retin-a, benzamycin, and antibiotics to keep my skin under control. I saw murad on a t.v commercial and I thought I would give it a try. So far I do not see any improvement aside from more breakouts around my mouth area. I will admit that the rest of my face feels somewhat smoother. Hopefully I see improvement soon because acne has severely affected my attitude towards my everyday life. The redness/sensitivity serum keeps my skin from getting dry but I still have to use moisturizer with it. I will update in a week from now because the acne gel claims to reduce breakout by 45% within 2 weeks so I will keep it up until then. Hopefully it gets better!

Pros:

None - honestly. Just none.

I only used the Murad Acne Spot Treatment - not the whole system of all the Murad products. I foolishly picked this 1 oz tube up while waiting in line at Sephora. Someone mentioned that sulfer was good for your skin, and doesn't age you like BP, so I thought I would try it. I used it for one week before I couldn't do it anymore. The smell was awful, the consistency felt really greasy to me, plus it did absolutely nothing for my acne except make it slightly more inflamed. Forget it! If you want to use something other than BP that doesn't age you, I'd recommend AHAs...I am using Alpha Hydrox 8% exfoliating cream, along with lemon juice afterward, and it is looking pretty hopeful. Just don't bother with Murad!!!

Pros:

it calmed my acne down a tiny bit

Cons:

My face was so clear when i used proactive, but the infomercial really got to me so I tried and my face got worse and now and still breaking out in places I've never broken out before. I also see the murad estitican once a week and FOR WHAT??????

It is a waste of money they my estitician said it will get better but I still have ugly breakouts it has been over a year and a half and nothing so this is a sign to get the heck off of murad......I agree with others when you stop you break out fast and bad........MURAD SUCKKKKKKKKSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! I CANT BELEIVE I USED IT FOR THAT LONG......BUT THEY KEPT TELLING ME IT WAS NORMAL AND IT WILL GET BETTER WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY......

Pros:

Drastically reduced the size of my cystic acne, gave my skin an awesome glow - even with makeup applied - felt clean, but not overly clean. Consistant!!

Cons:

yes, it has the occasional random TINY pimples/whiteheads, exfoliating gel is a bit tacky. Can be expensive if you order it straight from Murad.

I ordered this off of an infomercial thinking, "what the hell, I've tried everything else!" I honestly never experienced the major "purging" aspects of this line -I guess everything works differently for everyone. I did think that the exfoliating gel was a bit tacky, and didn't smell that great, although I did notice once I put the lotion on it felt so smooth. I stopped using it after 6 months secondary to my everlasting need to find an ultimate cure. Boy do I wish I NEVER stopped it! I broke out soooo bad using something else it literally HURT (tea tree oil line). I begged my friend for my Murad back -I gave it to her and it cleared her excema. ONE DAY later my face was almost back to the way it was before I stopped. Cyctic acne -GONE. It actually calmed it.I am now using the Energizing Pomegranate line with the T-zone treatment in the morning, Acne line at night. Try it...stick with it. A little, easily solved whitehead is better than a painful red cyctic pimple! *cheap on E

Pros:

none

Cons:

horrible, makes ur face very very bad scarring everywhere

i used this product for maybe a little over 8weeks and i thought my face would get better but it just got worse. my face was really clean about two years ago but after i stopped taking care of it it broke out again, so i thought i'd use murad during the end of my freshman year in college. over the summer my face has gotten worse than ever before. right now im back on acne.org regimen and face is slowly getting better but there are LOTS of scars left from murad and it also leaves tiny cysts. i strongly suggest not to use any of their products as its just a ripoff and it actually makes ur face worse.

Pros:

It is too soon for me to tell!

Cons:

I DON'T KNOW YET!

I have very pale, sensitive skin! I started getting this rash-like breakout on my chin, cheeks, and nose and I've had it for a week or two and its not going away. I've had the Murad stuff for two days...and when i woke up the individual spots where bright red and wasn't looking too pretty. The packet said it could get worse before better so I'm going to try it! Oh and there is a 60-day trial so you can return it if you hate it!! Some say it works some say it doesn't, to me it sounds like Proactiv all over again but worth a try cause my face is disgusting!

Pros:

n/a

Cons:

Will make your skin 100 times worse .... and you will have to spend months and months (and spend an arm and a leg) trying to fix the damage that this product had created

If you have mild/moderate acne and are just looking to have 'perfect' skin.... please don't your skin for granted!! a few pimples is nothing compare to 50+ pimples (big and small) which WILL most likely happen if you use this. I used this product for about a total of 4 weeks of which half I suffered from a pretty intense chemical burn to the point where I actually looked like a burnt victim... the GEL is wayyyyy to strong for sensitive skin. ANyway, please do NOT try this product just for the hopes of having complete clear skin because IT IS NOT worth your time, money, energy and emotional pain

Didnt have "terrible acne" to start , just wanted to get rid of some black heads & a few pimples. Used product for 1st 2 weeks, seemed to work, then as if overnight I HAD THE WORST ACNE IN MY LIFE ! Heard about the " purging " thing , stuck with it, I had terrible sore bumps that lasted for days & weeks . Used it faithfully for 4 months & finally got fed up being a 40 yr old " zit face ". I was embarassed my face looked like a war zone , talk about embarassing. Went to a local store bought spent about 10 bucks on oxy wash & cleansing pads and my skin had improved immediately, although I am still dealing with the old zit marks that hopefully with fade . I am sooo disappionted with Murad .
