Pros:

NONE

Cons:

Extremely drying

I would have rated Murad at a BIG FAT ZERO if it let me. Everyone claims that you should use a product for 2 weeks to a month before you'll start seeing results, so when I bought Murad, I did just that. However, I had horrible results. It dried out my skin SO bad. It was to the point where I had to put super thick moisturizer on every hour. My face was dry, flaky and it was kind of painful. I thought that it would pass and eventually start working.... it didn't. I will never try Murad again.

Cons:

From light to severe acne ! Made me purge Gave me lots of the big ugly pimples/cyst Horrible the worst thing I applied to my face

I had light acne and I gave this a try because proactive did not help! Worst mistake of my life it made me purge dried out my skin and made me peel! Please dont buy this !!! If I could go back in time I would never buy this again!

Pros:

The cleanser was nice and makes my skin feel smooth and fresh. The gel seems to work at first. The lotion was not greasy and feels light.

Cons:

Did not work as advertised.

After using this kit for a year, I did not notice any difference. In fact, my acne has gotten worse. Even though when you initially put on the gel, your face will feel tingly, but then my skin started to itch. I also used the sulfur treatment that came with the kit. It supposedly is supposed to get rid of inflammation. However, it just stinks up my face and didn't reduce any redness at all. Overall, I would not recommend this product. It's too expensive and it does not seem to work for my moderate to severe acne.

Pros:

fancy package,

Cons:

Expensive. DOES NOT WORK, headache to return, deceptive customer service.

DO NOT ORDER MURAD OR TRY IT. The worst Aspects 1. The company is shady. i ordered one kit and they charged my credit card 3 times, then again for hte next month for another 3 kits, for a total of 6 kits. THe reason: the first time, the order didnt go through. So i decided okay, guess its my credit card, so i used a different one, failed again, then another different credit card, then the orders all magically went through. If you return it they only refund you 35, when you pay 45. so i lost 60 and wasted lots of time going to the post office. 1. it doesnt work, at least for me. im medium oil skin. my face got really red and i followed thier regimen religiously for 4 weeks. 2. its about the same as proactive. Pro active worked for me in college, but then i stopped cuz it got all better, and then came back. 3. The only thing good is the clay mask, that was nice and helped a little.

Pros:

i can feel it working everytime i use it..

Cons:

sort of expensive

First week- when you use it, you can really feel it working. second week- i could see all the redness and pimples going way. The third week- everything is gone i actually have clear skin now :) The fourth week- My acne went away in three weeks but some peoples acne gets away in four weeks.( it depends on how bad your acne is) I really reccommand murad acne complex!! I have tried proactiv but it just drys out my skin and makes my pimples more red.

Pros:

It was light on my skin :)

Cons:

Didn't make it worse NOR better.

I have oily sensitive skin that usually gets red and irritated after using over the conuter acne meds. Usually my skin doesn't react very well with acne products but this didn't irritate my skin. The bad thing is that it didn't improve my problem... I did love the moisturizer though.

Pros:

This product did clear up my face somewhat, but not at all like I expected for the price. It also has a nice feeling and smells clean, and doesn't dry out your skin as much as other strong skin products.

Cons:

It didn't clear up my face as much as I expected. I have moderate acne, and a lot of scars, and I found that while it did reduce redness and inflammation of existing acne, it didn't do that much to prevent it from forming.

This is a good product if you have the money and commitment to it. There is a "purging" period where you have an increase in acne, but this is normal and healthy- it is just to get rid of existing oils and bacteria in your pores, kind of like making a fresh canvas. This is worth a try, everyone has different skin and needs a different skin care regimen- Murad might be the one for you.

Pros:

The cleanser really feels like it's cleansing your face really good, you get that Tingling feeling, but it didn't work for me=(

Cons:

I still break out, I'm still currently using it, but once I'm done with it, I will not buy it again. I never saw my skin improve...and it's been 3 months.

I have a friend who told me that her friend was using it and it was working for her, but again it didn't work for me. I can't say it won't work for somebody else, but I would say stick with the trials first since they are less expensive then the regular sized bottles, and see if it works for you!

Pros:

Some smoothing/softness of skin in places with no acne, some slight improvement.

Cons:

Tedious application, not good for moderate or severe acne with nodules and cysts.

Here's my two cents: I am a 26 year old female that has been dealing with acne since the age of 13. Some years have been clear, others not so much. Recently, the discontinuation of birth control made my face EXPLODE with nodules, cysts, and whiteheads. I was on the Murad Acne Complex Kit for 3 solid months, and used it religiously. Didn't miss a morning or night ever. It did nothing for my cysts or nodules. Kept clear areas clear, but I was still breaking out. After spending hundreds of dollars, I finally broke down and went to the dermatologist. My point? This might work for mild acne (whiteheads, pustules, etc.) But if you have cysts and nodules, go to the derm. Get a prescription. Get an antibiotic. That's how you treat moderate/severe acne. NOT the Murad Acne Complex Kit.
