Pros:

very very effective
cheap
widely available

Cons:

sometimes does sting a little

about 4 days ago i got this horrible cluster of spots they were big, red, painful and very ugly. i had previously used quinoderm but stopped when all my spots had gone, i decided to use it again and it had worked wonders, usually the kind of spots take 8-10 days to clear but with quindoderm it to 4 DAYS! i do not regret in anyway buying this, people say it dries out your skin but i always moisturise so i never notice any dry skin, i did notice that on big red spots when you put the quinderm on them they do inflame and get irritated but thats expected for acne spots. Overall this is the best skin product i've ever used and its great for everyone, if you have sensitive skin its best that you use the 5% one, quinoderm is the BEST

Pros:

Clears up initial spots and gets rid of new spots quickly.

Also very cheap and a tube lasts for ages.

Cons:

Redness and dry skin for ages

Been using this for about 3 months, like a lot of others I had tried SO many treatments ranging from a 3 day fast (bs) to countless creams etc. I started with the 10% one which may not of been the best idea, however it did get rid of a big lump of sticking out spots on my face and turned the whole area into a spot free but red mess. Granted, I prefer redness to spots but still it's not brilliant. 3 months down the line I have no real sticky out spots but I do have some red spot marks (scars?) still on my face that have been there for ages, not the end of the world but I'm still not 100% clear. I still have bad dry skin problems, I have to carry round moisturizer with me everywhere I go, not too much of an inconvenience but not perfect. I would reccomend this product, it's the only one that worked on me and has cleared up my skin fairly well, I am a lot happier now compared to before. Still prepare for flaky dry skin! Also for the people that have reactions and cry about it on here, read the instructions on the packet, it clearly says to test a small dab behind your ear overnight before applying it too your face.

Pros:

Clears acne (takes about 2 months to stop breaking out completely)
Reduces active cysts
Minimizes stubborn blackheads on nose (nothing else has ever done this)

Cons:

Very drying
Redness
Seems to prolong/cause post acne purple marks

It works but its harsh, once you get the acne under control you can go a few days without using this to let your skin recover. (trust me you wont break out if you dont use this every single day)

Burns and stings when you first apply it but then its fine.

Considering i tried prescribed acne treatments and this was £2.49 over the counter...id say its the best stuff iv ever bloody bought!

Pros:

Well its cheap and otc which is 2 pros

Cons:

leaves skin dry but unless u dry up the skin u will never clear the acne

I have used almost everything over the years and nothing seems to touch it..i was using freederm before and it really makes your skin red. Moring and night i use Clearsil Ultra..not the face scrub and Quinoderm. I must say i have suffered acne now for 21 years and my new comibination i have seen a really amazing differance..give it a go..nothing to lose..the differnce is better than when i have isolaze last year at skin UK..That cost me 800 GBP but for under a tenner total the differnce is better.

Pros:

Cleared spots in 4 nights
Doesn't sting as much as other creams
No new spots
Also cleared blackheads

Cons:

Stings a tiny bit
Can be slightly drying

I have used creams such as epiduo from the doctor on my moderate acne and found a lot of them worsened my spite and gave me cysts but this is amazing! My skin is virtually clear apart from one on my cheek which is tiny and should be gone tomorrow. I couldn't be happier with the results, I wasn't expecting to see any difference really and was hesitant to use it after my previous experience with acne creams but this stuff is amazing. I only use a very small amount about twice a day after washing my face

Pros:

Cleared my acne within 5 days
Doesn't sting or irritate my skin
Really cheap
Doesn't need a prescription

Cons:

Quite drying

I've been suffering from moderate acne since my mid teens. Around 2 years ago, I went to my GP as it was getting worse and it was really started to effect my confidence. I had a lot of spots and bumps on my forehead and cheeks area as well as my chin. Picking and squeezing them didn't help much either, leaving so many scars behind. She prescribed me Duac Once Daily Gel with 10% benzoyl peroxide which was amazing. I was applying the gel at night and every morning I'd see an improvement. A week later, all of my spots were literally gone as well as the scars and marks! I was really impressed. The only problem was that the gel would expire after 2 months and it was advised that you put it in the refrigerator. Anyway, about a month ago my acne has returned. Usually I'd get the occasion spot when its that that time of the month, but this time there were so many and looking angrier than ever. I've been using Quinoderm 10% BP cream and I'm ecstatic at the results. I've only been using it for 5 days and already, 85% of my spots have cleared up! What's even more amazing is how dirt cheap it is..I purchased it for like that £3. I use a small amount only at the areas which need it and I only apply the cream at night. I'm so happy and I'll continue using it till they've it's all clear.

Pros:

Got rid of my spots and pimples very fast.

Cons:

Dried sin out made it feel sore.

This cream wored very well for me, i had quite bad acne on my chest and after only 3days its cleared 95% of it up. I also had minor acne on my face, and its cleared all of it up minus one spot.... but.... My face now feels very sore and tight, it now has a bumpy dry feeling to it, and when applying makeup it creates dry patches because of the condition of my skin. I have been using aqueous cream (moistouriser for burns) and even this only makes my skin feel good for a few seconds before feeling lie sandpaper. Only use this product if your willing to make the sacrifice: Iv exchanged spotty skin for dry skin... and for me thats better. But soon i might change my mind .

Pros:

reduces oiliness by drying skin, exfoliates the skin, initially effective at preventing spots, a safe product

Cons:

extremely drying, need to be constantly careful about bleaching clothing

I've had acne on and off since my teens, so about 20 years. I used this for about six months every night and some mornings. When I first started using it it seemed to work wonders, but towards the last few months I started getting breakouts again. This, combined with the adverse effects made me stop using it. The worst of which was excessive drying of the skin. After every shave my skin looked like the salt flats of the Atacama desert. It was hard finding the right moisturiser that would be good enough to rehydrate the skin, yet not make my skin too greasy. It was a pain and I would be more concious of my dry skin than my spots. I'd often go to work only to look in the mirror and find loose flakes of skin on my face. There's also the hassle of having to place an old sheet on my pillow to stop it being bleached. Plus I wouldn't use it when with my partner, it's nasty stuff and wouldn't want to expose anyone else to it. Basically, it's not practical or realistic to use this product long term, it's too harsh. In the end I think the bacteria became immune to it. I visited a skin clinic in London and they recommend I use products with salicylic acid instead. There are many such products on the market. It's naturally occurring and it's a much gentler ingredient. I was worried the breakouts would return with a vengeance but after a few weeks so far so good. The most important thing is to keep your skin clean and don't touch. I will also start using an exfoliator with glycolic acid, a natural substance which removes dead skin and clears pores, supposedly. This, together with the salicylic acid should replace the two functions of Quinoderm. Since stopping the Quinoderm, my skin has got a lot more greasy, though I think and hope this is a reaction to the sudden withdrawal of the drying agent and that it will soon reduce. I'm so glad and relieved not to be using this product anymore.

Pros:

Clears spots and acne very affordable.

Cons:

None to me

My skin is very sensitive so i use the cream thrice a weak to minimize the side effects. just wash face with facial wash for sensitive skin (johnsons) and apply at night and with a good moisturizer i am sorted. i have really tried lots of treatments but with this one...i am totally sorted out.
