Pros:

cleanser and toner make skin feel clean and refreshed. step 4 retinal treatment helps fade previous acne scars plus heal existing acne all while you're sleeping.

Cons:

the lotion can be quite drying so i would combine it with my usual face lotion/sunscreen.

this is the best product i have EVER used and i have tried everything! i tried proactive and while it cleaned up my under the skin pimples, it didn't get rid of the little bumps on my forehead and chin. i have combination skin...a mix of oily areas with dry patches. acnefree gave me results after the first week of using it. it's completely affordable and attainable at almost any drug store. i use the lotion sometimes for spot treatment too if i feel a pimple forming. after using acnefree for over 3 months, it's been more than a month since i've had a major breakout. i'd recommend this to ANYONE who is fed up with all the other acne systems they've tried. this one really does work.

Pros:

Worked for me, very affordable price compared to the other competitors

Cons:

Overly drying at first, ridiculously very hard to squeeze out of the bottle due to tiny dispensing holes

I've been using the product (original version, not the severe or sensitive skin versions) for about a month now and I can say that I'm fairly satisfied with the results. The first setback I encountered when using the product for the first time was that I couldn't even squeeze the Step 1 Cleanser stuff out of the bottle. How this passed the manufacturing stage is beyond me. I heard some bottles have this "flaw". But luckily, poking a hole with a knife seems to resolve the issue easily. Anyways, using the product at first dried out my skin which I kind of expected. You just have to use the product in small amounts at the beginning so that your skin will gradually tolerate it. The only thing I'm worried about is if the product will continue to work for me in the long run because Proactiv quit working for me after several months as if my skin just became immune to it.

Pros:

It clears your face and helps your blemishes!

Cons:

none really

This is a good acne product, it has no fragrance that will make acne worse and it clears your acne good and than it helps your blemishes from being so visible.. I really like it, it is the only thing I can use so far that doesnt make my face look worse. Its very affordable and easy to get.

Pros:

actually got rid of acne, unlike anything else i have tried

Cons:

none really.

I have the severe system. Night: Step 1, Step 2, Aveeno Positively Radiant Moisturizer, Step 3. Morning: Rinse face with warm water, Aveeno moisturizer, Step 3. I don't find step 4 that useful, but once in a while I will use it (instead of Step 3 at night) when I have absolutely no pimples and I will wake up with a brighter complexion.

Pros:

This is the one product I have found that has really worked. on my 5th day and haven't had one new pimple. :) it also has a mild to no smell.

Cons:

None. If you really want to take care of your acne, a little extra time shouldn't be a big issue. I had a little tiny bit of dryness but it's an acne medicine, so it's supposed to help oilyness. My only complaint is it's not in a pump.

If you want to take control of your acne, get this stuff! If you have sensitive skin or are worried about redness, buy the sensitive skin type. Be patient with it, your skin will need a few weeks to adjust. Also, I only use it once a day in the morning and it still is working, so don't overload your skin by doing it 2x's a day until your skin can handle 1x.

Pros:

Use this if you have really oily skin, cleared my skin up in less than a month. CONSISTENCY IS A MUST. Did the whole routine once in the morning and once at night before bed.

Cons:

once your skin starts to clear up completely, if you keep using it twice a day, your skin becomes somewhat immune to the product. so when your acne has subsided, you only need to use acnefree once a day, preferably before bed.

I've tried pretty much every over the counter acne treatment, including the oh so popular Pro active which did absolutely NOTHING to get rid of my acne, $60 down the drain with that crap. again, I recommend this product for people who have oily skin. For those who have average skin (not oily but not too dry) you may find this product to dry out your face if used excessively. Which means, dry skin people, avoid this product unless you want your face to turn red.
