Pros:

Affordable
Soothing
Easy Steps to Apply

Cons:

It can dry your face

Acnee Free works for me, but it may not work for others. I have been religiously using this product for 3 days now and I must say, it worked. Less redness on my cheeks and the bumps on my chin minimized to almost completely gone. Lately I have been breaking out crazy and I dont normally do, but with stress and maybe the way my diet has been, zits have been surfacing my face like mountains mainly on cheeks and chin. It wasn't going away and everytime one clears, a new one (or a couple) forms. Uuuhg. I bought AcneeFree not really convinced it will work, but I was desperate because my face was not clearing up for 2 weeks. My skin now feels smooth and my acnee/blemishes has calmed down. It's working for me slowly and surely because by day 3, my face is pretty clear with less bumps. The only thing is, it dries your face. I use a little amount of the repair lotion. I let it completely dry and put an SPF lotion after. I use Cetaphil.

Pros:

Cheaper than Proactiv
Not as tough on the face as Proactiv
Exfoliates

Cons:

Exfoliating beads are a little small
Has a gel consistency

I haven't used the entire AcneFree line, just the cleanser. What caught my eye about this product is that it says it's "Better Than Proactiv!" I decided to give it a try and see if they were right (I use Proactiv). In comparison, I would say that they both work about the same. HOWEVER, Proactiv's cleanser has a much different consistency than AcneFree's. AcneFree's is more of a gel, and the exfoliating beads in it aren't as big as Proactiv's. Also, as I was massaging my face, it felt a little tingly. But that being said, it is still a pretty good cleanser and leaves my face feeling refreshed afterwards. I may pick up the entire set next time I'm in the store and see how the whole system works.

Pros:

Cleared breakouts very quickly

Cons:

Burning, redness, sensitivity to sunlight, flaking, dryness, etc...

I don't have what I consider "sensitive" skin and I've used Proactiv and many other acne products in the past with minimal issues. But after using this kit for 2 days (and not putting the product on my eyes), I woke up with my eyelids practically swollen shut. They were thick and wrinkly and droopy. I had to ice them to reduce the swelling. Also, the skin under my eyes and around my mouth and on my cheeks was so red and dry. I stopped using the kit that day. In the days that followed, my skin got even drier and began to peel and flake even with a moisturizer and anything that touched it (moisturizer, plain cleanser, baby wipe, etc) burned like crazy!! Then when I went jogging with my face slathered in sunscreen, it burned so badly I had to stop and pour cold water on my face to calm it. After 2 days of this, I had to see a dermatologist who explained that the product worked by drying out the skin so that no bacteria could survive...hence no acne. The process makes skin extremely sensitive to sunlight. He prescribed an ointment twice a day to calm the skin and told me to wear SPF 30 at all times and a hat when outside longer than a few minutes. Moral is...BE CAREFUL! Pay attention to how this works and protect your skin from the sun.

Pros:

Works very well!

Especially when the "terminator" from the acnefree system is purchased with it. The basic kit will give you the 3 lotions but the terminator makes a big difference.

Cons:

This product will slightly dry up your skin. I just used a little dove lotion and its not a problem at all.

This product worked very well for me. I have tried everything from Clean and Clear, Skin ID, proactive, you name it i have tried it. This product has cleared up my once severe acne wonderfully and i highly recommend it.

Pros:

Reduced blackheads?

Cons:

Made my skin feel weird--probably dry

I got this at Costco, thinking why not. I should say that I've only used it 3 times, but those 3 times were enough for me to not want to use it anymore. I have fair skin, so I did one application, at night. Things were okay. No acne reduction (I had 2 cysts calming down and another just starting to flare), but maybe some blackhead reduction. I thought that maybe I could up the doseage to twice a day, as is recommended. I used it the next morning and evening, and noticed that the texture of my skin felt different. Before, the spots on my face that didn't have acne felt like the rest of me. Now it felt rough. And my cheeks were...shall we say, "rosy," which had never happened before (I don't really have sensitive skin). I've been off it a couple days now, but my skin still doesn't feel normal. This might work best on people who have acne all over your face, instead of in just one area. It didn't do much for me.

Pros:

Affordable and easy to get.
The cleanser made my face feel softer.

Cons:

Uneffective after a couple weeks of even consistent usage.
Made me break out more before it cleared some of my acne. And only a few blemishes cleared up.

It says your face clears up in 3 days. Not for me. I tried to be patient and continued using it for about a month. Now, I don't use it as often. I only use the cleanser every other night and I get the same results of using the cleanser every other night vs using the cleanser, toner, AND lotion twice every day.

Wash your face. Skip Toner. Go to step 3. Never use step 4 and 2 Did this for a while and my face starts to clear from the 8 years of acne. But now it itch like crazy...... bottom line its clear and im pretty happy about it. sometimes i follow the steps for variation but Step 1 and 3 is enough for me

Pros:

Much less expensive than Proactiv.

Cons:

Let's see...I only had one or two tiny breakouts. I had used Proactiv years ago, so thought I'd try Acne Free. I woke up the next morning with a huge swollen eye, red rashing and tiny whiteheads all over my face, and horrible itching.

I'm not allergic to these chemicals. They're in Proactiv too and it never bothered me a bit. It's not worth the savings! The company has not been helpful when I've called (I only used it 2x/day for 2 days). I explained that I had gone online and read multiple reviews of symptoms just like mine, especially the swollen undereye area and they said that it isn't a common complaint. Hmmm...I guess these people are all making it up then, right? I am going to a doctor and if they don't pay the bill when it's all said and done, I'll be suing. This is horrible. I went from one or two little breakouts to a face full of rashy whiteheads!
