Pros:

man, out of all the things i've done to my skin to try to rid it of acne, shea butter is the ONLY thing that worked and kept working and continues to work. i'm so happy.

Cons:

it's all natural so it takes a few months for you to clear. plus i got some organic shea butter for like 17 bucks. but it lasted me 2 months so i'd say that's worth it!!

i'm one of those acne sufferers who takes it too far -- rubbing mashed garlic all over my face until it burns a couple layers off, rubbing my own piss onto my face for weeks in the hope that such a natural remedy must be the cure, etc. i think the most extreme i went was taking antibiotics for 3 months -- i can't even imagine how much damage that did to my body, it didn't help much and when i went off it my face exploded. so i was like, man how the hell am i gonna get rid of this stuff?! then i discovered 100% pure organic shea butter --> my acne was extreme when i started using it in may, and now it's september, my face is clear and my scars have faded. it continues to improve. i'm telling you, rub its soft godliness into your face every night for a few months, be patient and your acne will be gone. i use this with all-natural african black soap -- those are the only two products that ever touch my face. africans know what's up.

Pros:

Made my skin so soft and moisturized.
Made a lot of my hyperpigmented acne scars disappear

Cons:

Broke me out like hell!
Was definitely this and nothing else. I think my pores get blocked super easy. Once i stopped using it my skin cleared up!

Good for getting rid of skin however, it is too rich for some skins. Try it but if u break out more then stop.

Pros:

best moisturizer, healing, reduces appearance of stretch marks, great for body, face and hair

Cons:

none

I absolutely love unrefined shea butter. As someone previously said, all shea butter is not the same. The best is unrefined shea butter because it still has all of the healing properties, where refined shea butter does not. I make up my own body whip with shea butter, jojoba oil and emu oil. It comes out nice and creamy like whipped cake frosting. I apply it on my body everyday and the moisture lasts all day long. (A little goes a long way). I use a pea sized amount for my face and neck. It is non-comedogenic. No breakouts. I also make my own shampoo using some shea butter in it for moisture and it's great. I also recommend African black soap. The two work very well together. I highly recommend trying this. Do a google search to see all of the benefits that shea butter can give you. It's an all natural product and I've found since switching to all natural products that I don't have anymore breakouts. I will never go back to chemical products. Only naturals for me. :)

Pros:

Awesome. Nourishes the skin and hair. Prevents wrinkles, replenishes, refines, and restores the skin; known for its healing properties.

Cons:

Can be greasy, but use sparingly; it is eventually absorbed by the skin. Butl, well worth the benefits.

One must remember that all Shea Butter is not the same! There are several types of extractions; and some products include other ingredients in addition to Shea Butter that can have an affect its benefits. Do your research about this product to be sure you are getting Shea Butter in its original form, a high quality all natural product and not one that is tainted with other ingredients.

Pros:

Almost immediate results!

Cons:

None

Shea butter is awesome! It virtually got rid of all my acne and healed all the scarring! My skin has never been so nice! I can wear it at night without it staining my pillow. Shea butter is great in that it washes out of fabric. It is expensive, but you can get it affordably on eBay or at an African market. I highly recommend it.

Pros:

It softens my skin

Cons:

its very greasy

I got some unrefined and refined shea butter from africa while on vacation. It made my skin feel very soft (especially heels) I recommended it to everyone i knew, but after about 2 months it stopped working on my skin. And the shea butter is still good because i kept it in a cool dry place and its not expired since it was made while i was on vactation.

Pros:

natural and smells wonderful it does work on the face better than anything i have ever tried -.an african man introduced me to it and claimed it worked on dry skin acne scars firmess wrinkles tough skin i didn't believe him at first but he was right

Cons:

it has to melt in your hand for even application it does take awhile to soak in but the results are worth it

best sruff i have ever used.my husband uses it too,and in florida skin does get dehydrated i put it on arms and legs when i go out the sun melts it in-i use it at night for a night cream it doesn't promote burning from the sun.it is natures best kept secret.just think when all of use it it will put the cosmetic store bought poison out of business.

Pros:

Skin feels so smooth and soft and you feel it has a calming healing effect. I used on a really severe bruise on my waist line(walked into gate post spike) took away the pain and inflamation - no trace of injury 6days later.

Cons:

Only the fact that it's greasy - so adapt how you use it

I have been using for a month now - I love it. I am now confident because I know I am not putting harmful chemicals on my skin - I was horrified to find out what was in the over the counter facial skin care products I had been using (check out skin deep cosmetic safety database) so I searched the internet and found Organic Virgin Shea Butter. Yes it's greasy - but I put it on my face and legs at night, I no longer use soap on my face, the Shea Butter is fabulous instead. In the morning I splash my face with water and take a couple of finger tips of shea and cream it on to my face over eye lids, neck everywhere, add more and more water to cream it in and then rinse. It of course doesn't rinse off but you wipe it off on the towel which it doesn't harm or stain. you are left with a slight film of Shea butter on your skin which leaves skin feeling wonderfully moisturised and protected without a trace of greasiness then you can apply makeup, but a shame to cover up my soft glo

Pros:

Helps with skin texture, healing acne scars, preventing new acne scars, healing current acne flare ups, preventing new acne, skin feels refreshed/younger, 1 tub lasted for 5 months or nightly use.

Cons:

make sure you buy the unrefined pure shea butter or else it wont work as well. You can tell if its unrefined by the "nuttyish" type smell it has.
takes a while to get used to the texture and not putting to much on.

Worked amazing for my skin, Used it for about 5 months! Stoped using it for two months (ran out & didnt go buy more?) and my skin didnt immediately start to break out again (I only started to break out like I used to after the first month of stopping). I feel like it didnt just stop my acne it healed my skin. But I finally stoped being lazy and bought more and my skin is still improving. I only put it on at night because it makes me shinny.
